Food could have been hotter.
FOOD IS TERRIBLE!!!! Was very excited to eat here and ended up very disappointed. Ordered shrimp & grits and fried chicken entree. Shrimp & grits looked great but tasted like they squeezed 10 lemons over it. Fried chicken was extremely salty. Also it was essentially a 2 piece dark dinner with 2 sides for $20. Sent the chicken back and got a burger. How can you mess up a burger? Well, they did. No taste. They brought us a side of brussel sprouts to try, no good, was drenched in oil. Server was good. Drinks were good. Restaurant was nice. Food took a long time to come out as well. Was told it was because a concert was going on. That’s part of the what y’all do though, not an excuse. Worst place we have ever been to, by far. I was actually angry by the time we got our check. If you’re going for drinks, I think you’ll enjoy. Absolutely DO NOT EAT HERE.
Food was good, but our waitress was awful. After asking 3 times (and 2 different people), we finally got our silverware 15-20 minutes after our appetizers. While we were still finishing the appetizers, one of our entrees came out. The other took another 20 minutes and we were told explicitly it was still in the oven. We ran out of water several times, even though we also had a bottle of wine. I’ve had better experiences for a third the price.
After seated, it took an extensive amount of time to get a server. That was the worst part. The food was alright, not what I was expecting. Would go back for wine, music and ambience.....that's it.
It was absolutely awful. Had to wait over 30 mins for my RESERVED time, which I had to actually follow up on directly with the hostess about. The bar tender didn’t ring up our original check at all, from while we waited, so I had to remind them what we had (a major opportunity that I could have taken advantage of but didn’t). Then after being seated, had to flag someone down after 15 minutes just to get water!! After that
Service was atrocious. The food was mediocre, I cook better. The outside is kinda nice but inside dining is pretty lame.
Our first time there and our waitress Miracle was soooo attentive, personable and on point. She was training the newbie Yvonne, so you’ll have two ahhhmazing staff members. I’ll be back again when I’m in the A!
Alex the waitress was awesome. Brunch was awesome and we enjoyed.
Father's day brunch was exceptional. The manager was great, but the waitstaff was not as attentive as they should have been.
The food and wine is amazing, I ordered a flatbread that took longer then expected, in saying that the staff was very much aware and made sure that the delay was made up for.
Food and staff were great. Went during lunch hours. Ordered the burger (medium done), in which they got it right! Wine was also amazing...
The restaurant ambiance was great. The restaurant was empty because it was a holiday I assume. That’s why I wasn’t understanding how slow our server was. He seemed to be a little off for
The evening. All in all, it was ok. The service won’t deter me from trying it again.
Food was just ok. Kale salad was drenched in dressing and salmon overcooked; mushroom flatbread was cold; risotto balls were good, but overall, average food experience.
We went for lunch. The food was great and the atmosphere was very relaxed. Our waiter was attentive and had a great personality. We cannot wait to return for one of the concerts.
My dad and I went to City Winery Atlanta because Myles Kennedy was performing that night. City Winery Atlanta has an extensive wine menu. The CW burger my dad had was delicious and cooked to order. I had the Springer Mtn. Buttermilk Fired Chicken which was moist, but the skin was fried a bit too long and the rosemary country gravy didn’t pair well with the chicken. If I were to go back, then I would give the Chorizo meatballs or braised duck tacos a try instead.
Good food! Great location!
Very disappointing experience. From a rude hostess who didn’t want to be there, to a slow and forgetful staff ... No teamwork with the FOH. Food was OK. For the prices, I expected much more.
I wanted to so badly to like this place and probably under the right service it could have been a better experience because the outdoor vibe of the restaurant was awesome but our waitress was TERRIBLE. Very unprofessional. We left after the appetizers instead of grabbing dinner there because we could not stand to have her waiting on our table any longer.
This was our first visit and overall it was pleasant.. We sat out on the patio; the flowers were I'm bloom and smelled great. Nice breeze, out of the sun, it was great. There is a nice wine selection, food was average except the meatballs, they were a not bit above. Service was slow at the beginning but got on track.
Food was subpar, gave it another shot and still not impressed. City winery is great for drinks and music, food not so much.
Service was slow on a night they were not very busy.
I can only rate this restaurant on the ambience as we decided not to stay for lunch. Apparently there was a leak or something that occurred earlier in the day. The restaurant had a horrible smell of paint, mildew and dirty water. I was nauseated by the odor and left after 15 minutes..... Would not recommend!
It was a wonderful birthday dinner
Very nice. Granddaughter enjoyed everything.
Mediocrity at its best Hostess exemplified the culture of NO. Server was nice but clueless.
Our experience was very disappointing. One waiter for lunch time. He told us three waiters call in sick today which was on Friday APRIL 20, 2018. The restaurant was having a staff meeting In private room with management having drinks as this waiter runs around trying to serve the entire restaurant. After we had finished our meal not the waiter but a young female bring our side of asparagus to our table cold. Which we did not eat and was taken off bill. She knew better than to bring that dish to a customer. Is the restaurant kid friendly I would say absolutely not. We had really look forward to coming but was very disappointing. It was my daughter’s Birthday.
Took family for birthday dinner. Very accommodating. Service was a little slow but all in all great experience.
We were a party of 8 and had a wonderful time in the outdoor area. Food wasn’t great but we kept the wine flowing and everyone had a great time.
The winery is very nice and the food was good. The floor manager was very unprofessional and talked down to her wait staff. That should be addressed promptly.
This place was really disappointing! I was spending time with my sister, who is visiting from out of town and I took her there. The cheese and meat boards are a complete joke! The cheese had clearly been sitting out and the meat was deli quality. The presentation was also pretty pathetic. The merlot/cab blend was a marginal at best. My sister said her barrel Chardonnay was good but that was the only thing. Our server was inattentive, she would go missing for long periods of time and when she did attend to us she kept yawning without the common courtesy of covering her mouth. I definitively will not be going back there. It was a complete waste of money!
HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR ENTERTAINMENT! THE FOOD WAS TERRIBLE. UNFORTUNATELY ALL 10 OF US HAD THE SAME OPINION. GREAT ENTERTAINMENT, AWFUL FOOD.
We went for brunch. Great spot! I’d love to go back on a Friday or Saturday night when they have live music. Sunday’s are just kinda chill.
I had such high hopes for this restaurant but was truly disappointed. The place is beautiful but the service was poor. After being seated, we waited for awhile to order and the place was not busy. Also, I noticed a bug in my water and informed the waitress and she had a blank look on her face (no apology). While ordering, we were told not substitutions (fine). However, when the food finally arrived, the food was cold and didn't have any taste (we notice someone else sending back the same dish)?? We were pushing for time for a nearby concert so couldn't wait.
I informed a manager and she simply stated "Thanks for telling me".
The menu is limited and the food wasn't good. Perhaps the wine is better but really overpriced.
Save your money and dine somewhere else!
Awful experience. Waited fir a server for 15 minutes while others around us were served. I ask fir bread or something to munch on as we waited-he brought stale bread chips you would normally use for soup. When the good came out my pasta was so over cooked it was sticking together in clumps.
Won’t EVER go again 👎🏽
The atmosphere was great, but the food and service left a lot to be desired. The service was so-so. The server seemed uninterested and didn't offer to let us know there were specials until asked. Not very engaging and had to pull suggestions out of her. She also forgot beverages and sides. By the time she brought them out (after being reminded) we were almost done with dinner. Don't understand the poor service since we had an early reservation and the place was almost empty.
The food was as bland as the service. It was fresh, but I just couldn't eat it with that blandness. I took it home so I could doctor it up. It was the same for everyone at the table. The best thing was the flatbread. We just got another one so we would have something to eat.
There is nothing worse that a cold chocolate cake. We let that sit so it could warm up a bit so we could actually taste it.
Won't be rushing back the this restaurant anytime soon. Which is a shame because, as I wine head, I had been trying for a while to get there.
The hostesses are extremely rude. They make you feel unwanted from the moment you walk in, sets a great tone for the rest of your experience.
The food is very bland and average. On top of that, all the dishes that we ordered came out slightly cold.
There are so many great restaurants in the area, skip the mediocrity of City Winery.
The wine selection was spot on, the flat bread of the day to die for and the server was awesome. I will return soon.
Our server was not overly attentive and we could tell she was more interested in finishing up her shift than helping our table. The wine was delicious but the food was just ok. The speak easy in the basement level was very fun.
We enjoyed it & nice atomsphere. Celebrated my wife birthday
Cold food, wrong mixed drink, slow service. Our food was literally ice cold, our apps took forever to come out. Food wasn’t super good. Ordered a mix drink and it came out wrong. Also called to push back our reservation from 7 to 7:30pm and they said no, we are completely booked. There we multiple open tables near us until well after 9pm.
