City Tap decor is an extension of our identity. Warm, comfortable and inviting with communal spaces for large parties in the bar area and a table layout in the dining room lending itself to large groups. Reclaimed wood adorns the walls, prohibition era murals dress the dining room, and industrial styled lighting makes for a cozy atmosphere.
Great beer and even better food — for everyone. We've been dedicated to that very simple idea since 2010. Please join us at the bar. We've been saving you a seat.

You need to get the Ten Spice Wings! 9 of us shared 2 orders of wings, 2 pretzels, 1 brussel sprouts and 4 pizzas (2 GOAT, 1 Pepperoni, 1 Truffle) ..and like 7 bottles of wine. This place is great for big get togethers.
I’ve been here before and thought I would take some of my girlfriends visiting from out of town for brunch. They wanted everything on the menu. Breakfast tacos were a big fav, along with the steak Benedict. Can’t wait to come back again!
Food and drinks were poor, especially for price. Essentially pub food at high prices. Ambience was good
Burgers were excellent and perfectly cooked! This was my second visit and both were great. I prefer to sit in the back section as it is a little quieter, but the atmosphere is still fun. Will definitely be back!
very very very very very very loud. food was very good, good prices for the quality of food, amazing beer selection. out door space is fabulous!
Great brunch! Loved it. We will be back...
Loved it! Great menu, service and the ambience was perfect for a Friday night
Always love our meal at City Tap! The food is awesome and so is the draft list!
I was a little disappointed by the hostess because I had originally called to ask about a table/wait. They told me they could not seat walk ins and would not have a table until 9:30 or 10pm to be seated.
However, I went on Open Table instead and was able to book for 8pm.
It's possible there were cancellations but the restaurant was not completely full and they should have been able to accommodate walk ins on a Tuesday night.
The service was awesome and food was great. I would suggest everyone to go there for their brunch it has a great variety of options/
Went here for Easter brunch and the food specials were amazing!
Great food extensive beer and wine list. We got the crab Mac and cheese and the Brussels sprouts which were a 10/10 . For my main course I got the Abigail mussels and they were not very good pretty flavor less. Tasted a little bit of everyone else’s food and it was delicious. Overall great experience and will go back
We love comfort City Tap food 💞
great, local brunch food! perfect patio area outside
cute place to get together with friends - nothing outstanding, but good enough/not too expensive
Mary was a great waitress
Very loud. Conversation at our table of six was impossible. Good beer selection and hamburgers were cooked as ordered.
We were sat promptly in a great both. Service was excellent with Mary. We were very disappointed as there was no brie and no burgers. Food we did get was very good. I especially loved the fritters and the tandoori kabob.
Service was mediocre....staff had an attitude. Food was ok - nothing special.
Went for brunch and was able to be seated an hour early for our reservation - and outside. Drinks were good; the blood mary is reasonably priced and the beer selection is incredible. My friend enjoyed her salad and I had order envy. I ordered a pork hash with sweet potatoes off of the brunch menu and I thought it was okay, but wish I had gone with the salad. It had a sweet taste to it, while I was hoping for more savory. I've had a similar experience with dinner; the drinks are always good but the food is average/slightly above average. I would definitely go back to sit outside on a nice day - but maybe stick to drinks.
Very good food! $5 mimosas for brunch & had the “the big chick” sandwich, highly recommend
Good place, nice vibe. They only have craft beer or spirits, so dont go looking for a coors or anything.
I really enjoyed my visit to the City Tap House, reserving a table was a good thing as I might not have gotten in, as the place was busy!! The food was Excellent and the Beer was nice and cold and the service was outstanding. We had Connor for our waiter and he did an AWESOME job checking on us to make sure we had what we needed and that we were happy. He is an excellent waiter!! All in All the vistit was great and we'll be back :)
Unfortunately; our server was a very salty women who either wanted no part of her job or our group. She continually rolled her eyes at us and we had to (on more than one occasion) wave her down to acknowledge us.
Three of our six had never been to City Tap and I can tell you; they won't be back. This was a truly terrible experience. I expect far more for what we paid.
We told her prior to one guests arrival it was their birthday - and she assured us she'd bring cake. Not only did we have to ask in front of the guest; but she threw it on the table and it was some kind of cookie that wasn't fully cooked. We would have said something to her - but she only returned to leave the check.
This was
Great food, fast service! Get the nachos to start and the fried chicken sandwich :)
For a busy night, service was good. Food was delicious and manager was on point and explained the grill was backed up and pushed our burgers to be a little late to table. The staff was accommodating and didn’t have to wait long for drinks even though the bar was packed.
Good experience.
Appetizers are great, entrees are not.
What a great spot! Food was amazing! We are vegetarian and found plenty of items to enjoy!
We stopped for lunch before heading to the children’s museum; we had our stroller and I was a little nervous about where we would store it once we were seated. No need to worry at all; there was a very convenient ramp that went right into the restaurant where I was pleasantly surprised to see ample room to park my stroller and a large area to hang coats and bags .
Our waiter Connor was wonderful! It was our daughter‘s third birthday and he went out of his way to make a special dessert for her!
The hosting staff and bussers were also very welcoming, friendly and prompt.
The brussels sprouts Were amazing and a must try! We also loved the G.O.A.T pizza!!!
We can’t wait to come back again! This will definitely be part of our next experience while visiting Boston !
Service was somewhat slow, but it is a great place for a big group. The patio seating is fun but it is an extra wait. The brunch food was more southern type food (chicken and waffles/eggs and biscuits). Mimosas are $5. Overall not an awful place, but also not the best restaurant in Seaport.
Food was so amazing! And service was fast
Incredibly loud. Might work for the bar scene but if you want to have any kind of discussion at dinner then go elsewhere. Should actually provide hearing protection at the door
Fun place to grab a beer and meet up with friends. Great beverage list
Everything was great!
Food and service were bad.
Food was good but kind of noisy. It was a busy night so service was a bit slow.
Very loud but great atmosphere. The server was at the table a little too often so we started feeling rushed. I had a tenderloin special that I was warned would come out Medium but was extremely well done. The meat was not like any tenderloin I've had before. It was chewy and had some muscle. I suspect it was a lesser cut. It did not live up to the $36 price tag. Out of respect to my guests I did not make a fuss over it but otherwise might have sent it back. I would try to go back again because it looked like a fun place to be.
perfect experience, as usual
Loved it! Had a great time celebrating my birthday there.
this was disapppointing! the food was average and overpriced for what it was. atmosphere was good but the food did not hold up.
wish the main dining area had more lighting. everything was great, but a little dark
The place was nice, good ambience, but the crowd was a little out of my scene. Very hipster, and I just felt a little out of place. There wasn't many options that I found appealing on the menu, but the burger was ABSOLUTELY TO DIE FOR! One of the best burgers I have ever had! Also had the potato pizza, it was good as well.
