Located in the heart of the the Most Beautiful Square in Texas, City Post Chophouse began its story as a post office in the 1930s, during the Great Depression and Prohibition. Nearly a century later, the beautifully renovated historic building now offers an elevated dining experience, live music and private events.

Executive Chef Adrian Corkill has curated a stand-out menu, featuring fine cuts and chops of beef, lamb, and pork, as well as fresh seafood and decadent side dishes served family style, along with unique handcrafted cocktails. Accommodations for vegetarian, pescatarian, and gluten-free diets are readily available. Our wine selection includes something for everyone, with a variety of by-the-glass options.

Reservations can be made for lunch, dinner, and Sunday brunch in our main dining room, where “Texas formal” attire is appropriate. Walk-ins are welcome in our oyster bar, where our full menu is available with a more relaxed dress code.

We enjoyed our first visit for the Tues small plates. Excellent charcuterie board, good friendly service by Heidi and great food. Great facility but it was largely spoiled by the noise from the kitchen - I presume it was stove exhaust blowers - that made conversation difficult and destroyed any attempt at intimacy for the diners in the main seating area. We'll try a side room next time.

What a wonderful addition to the Georgetown dinning scene. Excellent steak house menu. I would have to say my expectation was exceeded. If you are looking for a fine dinning experience City Post Chop House fits the bill.

Georgetown is lucky to have this little gem! Fine dining right on the Square in the old post office building! Their French Onion Soup is some of the best in the greater Austin area! (I'm a FOS fanatic so I know!). The steaks and seafood dishes are always prepared to perfection! The wine list is limited but we always have an exceptional wine! The desserts are yummy! Tim, our server, is exceptional and we have been fortunate to have him every time! He certainly adds to the experience! City Post Chophouse is one of my most favorite steakhouses and I have been to almost EVERY one in the greater Austin area! Georgetown is lucky to have this little gem!!

We had amazing dining experience. The food and drinks were all so good. We had steak, pork chop and sea bass, twice baked potatoes, green beans and mac and cheese. Service outstanding. From the time we sat down the tone was set that we could sit back, relax and enjoy our time. And we did. Celebrating wedding anniversary for 2 couples. They made the occasion very special from the nice card to dessert. Highly recommend.

It was a little pricey, but nevertheless an amazing experience. Great ambience, servers and food. Some of the best French onion soup and sautéed spinach this guy has ever had. Best of all the wife loved it too so happy wife happy life. Would go there again to celebrate in the future!

Wonderful experience! The only recommendation I have is that the food not came out so fast. I felt a little rushed and prefer more of a leisurely pace when dining at upscale restaurants. The incredible food, attentive service, and ambiance more than made up for it. I would recommend City Post Chophouse to anyone in search of a great restaurant in Georgetown, TX.

Food and service was fabulous. I highly recommend the Sea Bass and the aged Ribeye. We also had the steak tartare which was the best we’ve ever had. Great place to celebrate a special occasion!

Our server, Trinity, was very helpful for our first visit, and on our 59th wedding anniversary. She helped by providing suggestion with the drink and food menu, which was very much appreciated to make the best choices for the evening dinner. We will definitely make this an annual choice for our anniversary.

The service was excellent -Cort was our waiter and he was very amiable and helpful. The chef brought out two of the entrees himself. The Hubs had the 14 oz ribeye, mom-in-law had the filet and I had the lamb chops. For dessert, we split a piece of apple pie and the sticky toffee pudding- both were good. When Cort found out that The Hubs really likes key lime pie, the chef himself ran down to Sweet Lemon Kitchen to get him a slice. Not only was that such a sweet gesture, it was phenomenal key lime pie! Definitely recommend Post City Chophouse!!

The City Post is an absolute jewel! Beautiful old building with a contemporary, well done interior. The host & servers could not have been more gracious & welcoming. The menu is interesting and the food was excellent. My only negative was that I thought the mimosas were a little overpriced at $12, but I will be back!

My husband and I went for our 5 year anniversary. The food was AMAZING. I had the lobster tail and he had an 8oz filet with lobster mac&cheese. For dessert we had the apple pie which was outstanding as well. The service was phenomenal too! 10/10 recommend and we will be back!

One of the best Tuesday bites yet. Ahi Tuna followed by 2 lightly fried Jumbo Shrimp, a small perfectly cooked tenderloin steak and finished with an apple cider sorbet. Absolutely wonderful and the creativity on what is served during this event is awesome! Keep up the great work
