Great food and atmosphere. Our waitress was on top of meals and very friendly
Only one line cook working created a delay in getting our food
Could not order one item on menu since chef could not make it
Was charged for that entree anyways. Needed to recalculate my bill for the overcharge
not only did the rest. not have a lot of items, but quality was poor and service was poor as well.
My husband and I came for brunch for our anniversary. Interestingly enough, though I remarked the reason for the brunch, no one said anything. It was also my first time ever being denied a glass of wine in lieu of a Mimosa or Bellini that comes with brunch...couldn’t even get the house wine. So, I sucked it up and ordered a glass of Riesling which ridiculously so cost $16. I suppose it was my fault for not asking the price before ordering. As for th food...it was tasty. I especially enjoyed the salmon appetizer. The polenta in my egg and short rib meal was blah. The kale was delicious! My husband ordered the brunch burger medium, but it came much closer to rare with a completely pink inside. Not worth the round-trip car ride in the pouring rain though the neighborhood was really nice!
Service was super slow. Waited too long for everything. But everyone was very friendly. Food was eh. I wouldn’t go back.
This is an outline of my most recent experiences at City Perch:
1. Arrive for my 7:00 reservation at 6:55.
2. Only 3 other tables and a couple of people at the bar.
3. Still waited around 15 minutes for water after we asked for it.
4. 1 cocktail came out wrong ( The other drink was beer). Told waitress immediately how it could be fixed. Took so long to fix it, the food came out before anything was done and the cocktail was cancelled.
So the question is...was the place understaffed because it was empty or was it empty because it's understaffed?
Either way, not good.
We will be back! I love this restaurant. It’s perfect.
Daughters 26th birthday celebration. The service was excellent and the brunch tasty. Will definitely return
Super time had here with the family. We look to revisit again for special events. It's possibly our 6th or 7th time here. We always have a wonderful time. The food is very good and so are the drinks. I would recommend anyone to visit the establishment for a great experience in dining. You can't go wrong!
Good food, service and ambiance.
It is a terrific space with a menu that will suit everyone's tastes as well as a spectacular wine list. Beers on tap too!
Terribly slow service. Good was good but service made the experience poor. Won’t return. Nice ambiance. They need to hire more waitstaff.
Decor/ambiance good- food at best okay. Service is not bad per say but slow. This was my third meal at City Perch and each felt like an eternity. One hour and forty minutes from sitting down to departure. You wait for water, wait for drinks, wait for food, wait for your check. If you want something mid meal good luck- you wait with your wait staff pretty much no where in sight. I think they have to take care of way too many tables and it’s appears they are spread across the entire restaurant as well.
Another odd thing this time was that at 7:30 on a Saturday evening they were already out of two of their signature dishes- 7:30 on a Saturday night? Who is responsible for provisioning?
This could be a great place but frankly is a dud.
I went in thinking that this may be overrated, but i was honestly surprised and happy at how great this place is. Food and drinks were great. Ambiance is great and would definitely recommend to anyone.
The amazing ambiance is the first thing that you notice when you walk in to the restaurant. The spaciousness and modern bar area catches the eye. The brunch was delicious especially the Decadent french toast. The mimosas and Bellinis quenched my thirst and I look forward to going back there one evening.
Food was great and so was the service. Would definitely return again any Saturday or Sunday during brunch.
The food was delicious
Food was very good but the service very slow and erratic. Air conditioning too cool.
The location, food and ambiance was great.
I've been here before, once for the Mother's Day brunch which was so incredible I had to go back a second time. Both times its was great. I decided to go a third time and...it wasn't so great. The waitress was I guess overwhelmed (but it wasn't busy) at 5:30pm on a Friday. We all ordered the City perched burger which is good but one of the burgers came burnt not well done but burnt. We had to wait for another burger and my friends who I had spoken to so highly about this place were not so impressed. We ordered a starter and had to find someone to bring us plates. I'm hoping this was just an off day. Maybe will go back prices are too high for this kind of service.
Very good only complaint the hostess was not helpful, the restaurant was not busy and we had to ask for a table versus a booth because of my cane and had to explain why a booth would not work.
We went to dinner on a Wednesday so it was not crowded. Ordered scallops, duck, short ribs and shrimps and grits - all very good and tasty. They made sure to adjust the scallops for my daughter who is vegetarian. Chanel was excellent and attentive and all our requests were taken cared of. Thank you for making my daughter's 18th birthday special.
The appetizers were good. However, the entrees and drinks were less than desirable.
Server was excellent. Very sweet and kept checking in on us. Infectious smile.
The food was a bit lackluster. I got shrimp and grits and it was nothing special. The grits were stuck together and not flavorful. The shrimp were not cleaned and had an overwhelming Smokey flavor. The entire dish tasted of smoke and bacon. A disappointment considering the price.
Drinks were good.
The food is delicious and the ambiance and restaurant is great. While the servers are friendly, the overall service is awful. Very slow and disorganized. The restaurant was quiet and still the service was slow.
Recommend the place, great options and delicious drinks. The only down side was that two dishes and a drink they couldn’t provide as they lacked it ingredients. We have to come back to try out the spice and ice drink, short ribs, and banana split dessert.
This is a nice place to eat with farm to table entres. Some are gluten free, some vegan, and overall yummy choices. The specialty cocktails are creative and there is a keto friendly drink menu that is fantastic.
Beautiful day for a Sunday brunch the staff and the food along with the ambience of the restaurant was amazing.
The service is fine, but the food here is so bad. We’ve given this place a chance several times because of its great location, but we left this time saying it was our last. Everything on the menu sounds good but never lives up to expectations.
We love this place! The food is of great quality and the chef takes pride in his work (he came out to ask us how we liked the new desserts he created that evening). The service is friendly and the management is on top of making sure things are right. We love the relaxing ambiance and feel of the place. Highly recommend.
We arrived at our reservation time (6:25) and informed the waitress that my wife, son and I had tickets to see Toy Story 4 at 7:25. The waitress stated that she would inform the kitchen and that we would make it to our movie in plenty of time. We placed our food orders just a few minutes after sitting at our table.
Our dinners did not get to our table until 7:05, so we all had to rush eating our meals. The restaurant was not busy at the time and our orders were not complex. (Pizza, burger, steak.) Plus, my son’s lemonade was basically water with no lemon flavor in it and we were charged $15 for a glass of the house wine. Fifteen? Really? Ridiculously expensive.
Then we were delayed even longer while waiting for the check and for boxes to box up the portions of our meals we were unable to finish eating. My wife ended up staying behind for the check and food, while my nine year old and I ran to the theater next door. We all ended up being late and missing the beginning of the movie. Plus, there was no iPic representative in the theater to help us find our seats. Not any easy task when the theater is dark.
We were all incredibly excited to see Toy Story 4 and didn’t want to miss a second of it. We had planned on being in our seats with snacks, ready for the previews. The poor experience at City Perch turned a fun, family night out into a stressful experience.
Brunch had many interesting selections and our food was very good. Sitting on the patio was pleasant.
It was great for brunch! Not many options for small children., but otherwise very good.
With earlier power outage, only limited menu was available and not all on that menu was available. Men's bathroom on theatre side was in poor shape (but okay on restaurant side>)
The drinks and appetizers were excellent. The dinner lacked a little flavor, but overall great experience. Our server Alyssa was amazing and super attentive. Would definitely go back.
Group brunch with friends.
Great food and service!
Awful awful awful. Service was awful, food was awful, bill was incorrect by over $200! We were charged $42 for a margarita we never ordered and never got. Food came out dry, watered down, cold. CHICKEN SOUP WAS COLD! would NEVER return.
Fair. Nothing to write home about.
Food was good. Spiced bacon was far too spicy and our regular bacon never arrived. Potato pancake fries were awesome. Chicken and waffles a 7 out of 10.
Service was very good until the end of our meal when our visa gift card did not have a chip and would not work. It appeared that another server, not our original server who was fantastic, Alyssa, was trying to help out. When I stated after waiting for 15 minutes, visa or master gift cards do not have chips, she yelled at me stating I am trying to get it to work. I simply said to her you don’t have to be rude, she screamed at me stating I was rude. She was aggressive and inappropriate as there were other diners in the restaurant. The manager Melissa came over and explained their system wouldn’t work with out a chip on the card. I was happy to pay cash at that point. Melissa seems great and was apologetic. This restaurant came highly recommended btw.
It’s all about the approach, right? If someone had just said, listen, we don’t know what is going on, would you mind using another form of payment? I wouldn’t have pushed the issue. I ended up paying with cash anyway...
I don’t appreciate being yelled at by anyone, I especially don’t like being yelled at by staff at a restaurant that I just paid $60 for breakfast...
