any restaurant with pancakes this good AND an electric organ playing in the background deserves five stars every day. hashbrowns were excellent as well.
Fresh, clean, and relaxing! The service was great and the atmosphere was perfect for a Saturday brunch with friends.
This is the perfect place for a birthday celebration or a regular night out. Great service, food and atmosphere!
Great wide Open space that can accommodate large groups easily. The vibe is pretty casual, so casual in fact I was surprised with how refined the menu was. Everything was delicious, I’ll be at expensive, and the drinks were great to match. Will definitely return.
Energetic atmosphere with a simple, clear menu with a multitude of flavours to suit. Attentive staff that strives to ensure we were take care of.
This is for brunch - It was weird Bc I had a reservation but I was put outside the actual restaurant and it seems like walk ins were going into the main area. The hostess was very nice though. Burger was great. The service was slow. The main area was a bit loud. It felt too much like sitting and eating in a lobby/hallway not in the main area
Food was good but didn't realize that entrees didn't come with any sides at all. I would have ordered a side salad (or something) had I known.
Sunday brunch was excellent. Food was fantastic and the Bloody Mary is killer! All in all, a great spot with plenty of room for big groups.
Everything was delicious
We really enjoyed our dinner at City Mouse. The patio was so comfortable and relaxed. Even though it was a bit cool outside, the heaters were great. The noise level there was much better for conversation than the lobby, which was a bit noisy when we arrived. The service was outstanding, with a very knowledgeable waiter and several friendly others bringing various dishes and drinks. The Country Mouse is fabulous- but very tiny. It is a taste sensation in one bite. Other dishes were more traditional but well-prepared. I really enjoyed the chicken and we loved the brussel sprouts salad. My husband had a very good burger. The accommodations for his "keto" needs were made without question. We will go back!
Service was very mediocre. Upon arrival, no one was at the inside host stand, so I went outside. The waitress outside at a computer told me that a hostess would be right with me. Three minutes passed and the same waitress came up to me and gruffly said, “You know the host stand is inside, right?” I was eventually seated at a table for two where we had to share a small bench with the table next to us. We were basically on top of each other. My girlfriend was running late so I was sitting alone, and it took 10 minutes for someone to take my drink order. Mind you, with respect to both my seating and drink order, this place was not busy. There was no reason for any delay. The service staff just seemed poorly trained. Food was okay, but definitely trying too hard to be hip. Wouldn’t recommend it or return.
So happy to have found this place. Beautiful patio with excellent music and vibe. Dog friendly outside, as well as inside in the lounge area! I was meeting friends I hadn't seen in a year so we stayed long past our meal time (which I acknowledge was not cool), but the wait staff was still nice and didn't throw any daggers our way. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town!
The service and cocktails were excellent! Meal portions could be improved.
The place was mostly empty, yet our server was extremely inattentive to our 9 person group. Food was good and space is very nice.
Had a decent burger and a beer. Not bad. Seated just off the lobby so the noise level can be a little loud. We enjoyed our meal.
The brunch was great. Very cool retro decor.
Nothing too special, but maybe it was because the terrace was not open.
Service was extremely slow. I think we waited 5-10 minutes before our party was even acknowledged. Kids food came out after the rest of the table was served. Not sure if I would come for food again maybe some drinks.
Loved the outdoor patio! It was perfect for a warm day in Chicago! The staff was extremely friendly and outgoing and the food was delightful.
Met old friend. Great service, cocktails and wine. Loved the interior dining. Wished we sat outside.
food was flavorful. However, the burger we ordered medium rare came to our table well done. wait staff was not entirely attentive. Not awful, but not what I would have expected particularly since the restaurant was about 20 percent full. Otherwise, good experience.
I made reservations with my family for Mother’s Day Brunch and everything was perfect! The harp player was a wonderful touch and our server was kind and very attentive. Obviously the food and drinks were great. I will definitely be back!
We were so excited to eat here because we LOVE Giant. We went for dinner after drinks at the Aviary to celebrate our anniversary. While the service was great and the ambiance is very cool, the food was horrible. Even if it was cheaper, I still don’t think that I would eat there. The Brussels sprout salad was under seasoned, the squash pasta had an acidity that left a lingering bad taste in your mouth. Overall just wish it was better and really bummed about the food!
The service was slow and not really friendly. Our waitress didn’t check on us if we needed anything else (another waiter did) and we had to flag a bus boy for the check - I’d return if I have time to be leisurely. Food was good for brunch but not super exciting.
Great choices, nice environment and friendly staff. The bagel was slightly overdone but otherwise everything was great.
Loved the Specialty Cocktails, and the bartenders are very knowledgeable and crank out the drinks very efficiently! Thank you Lucy, We loved your suggestions!
Service was great! Food was excellent!
The food was standard- burger above par. The service was pretty terrible. Server was MIA, tried to upsell us unnecessarily, did not bring drinks until we tracked him down, then did not ask if we wanted another cocktail until we again tracked him down. He forgot one of our appetizers and I think we were charged for it but forgot to look since we had 6 people and I wasn't in charge of the bill.
Interesting menu & very tasty. Server was erratic which was disappointing. More training needed but we will return.
Went on a double date, shared the scallops and flank steak. Both were amazing but I highly recommend the steak.
As a member of the hospitality industry I was very underwhelmed by the lack of attention made by our main waitress. The bloody Mary’s came out after our entrees were presented to the table and were both too spicy to finish drinking— we had to pour water into them. The burger was very good. The two dessert options were clearly made hours ago as tossed onto a plate - the strawberry donut was full of artificial flavoring and red food color. The lemon blueberry cake was eggy and dry because it was cut and portioned too far in advance. When the waitress (blue shirt) asked how that desserts were we both said that both options were not very good at all - to which she replied “LIES! Do you want a box to Take them home?”
Great! Loved the food, dog friendly, wonderful service!
Very accommodating for a large group (12 people) that included children. The service was fantastic and food came out in a very reasonable time given the size of our group. Burger was quite tasty and those homemade pickles!
Get the burger and fries, still feels like you are in hotel lobby
We had a wonderful experience eating there with two of my kids and dog. Atmosphere was fab, the service was great and the food was good. We will go back, especially because of how kind they were with our kids and dog!
My brother surprised with this 65th birthday treat. Very hip place with limited menu. The menu choices were wonderful and diverse and delicious. The cocktails were very tasty. The waiter was personable and professional. Water glasses were always kept full. I would definitely come back.
Had lunch with family- excellent food, nice atmosphere, and we were allowed to have our dog join us
At sitting in the hotel lobby.
Get the gas station sandwich if you are hungover
Great for families and children! A little loud and the food is a tad salty, but still one of my all time favorite places in chicago!
