I had the Saison, the asparagus, and half orders of pasta (bolognese and tagliatelle), which we’re all so amazing that I’m returning, this time with the family for a pre-Hamilton dinner!
Had a great experience at City Mouse for Sunday Brunch. We sat outside. It was lovely...not crowded, nice noise level, and fabulous food/drink. The wait staff was super friendly and accommodating. Love that it’s also dog friendly. Can’t wait to come back with my girl J!!
I was pleasantly surprised by the restaurant. I had a pasta dish and the steak both of which were excellent. My only concern was they don't automatically serve bread. You can get an order of toast which I did though I didn't see it on the bill. It was sourdough toast and was really good. My friend and I both really liked the restaurant.
Liked the outdoor area and food was good, but didn’t care for the music.
Service was very bad. The waiter was not attentive. After 15 minutes we finally got his attention to order drinks at which point we told him we had an hour. He said there wouldn’t be a problem. Drinks and appetizers came out but 10 minutes before we had to leave we still hadn’t gotten our main course. We got his attention. He sent the manager over who apologized and said 5 more minutes. After 5 minutes the manager came back and told us our meal was cancelled because we were in a hurry. We never got our dinner!
Friend’s birthday. Nice ambiance. Decent food. Little over priced.
Took 20 min for anyone to come to our table (and the place was empty). I had to go up to the hostess to ask for help and she ended up taking our order herself. Poor service aside, the meal was DELICIOUS. If they can just get their staff in order this would have been an excellent experience.
Menu was good, but not too inventive and without much variety. Most importantly, the menu did not indicate which items were gluten-free or could be made gluten-free.
Love it! Would definitely come back.
I am conflicted, because I have been to City Mouse for drinks and have had a great experience. Unfortunately, my dining experience was awful. We had three different servers, had to chase them down to be able to refresh our drinks and had to go up to the hostess and ask if we could order a burger. Despite the poor service, I gave a 20% tip. I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt that this was an off night.
Great place for brunch. The healthy food options are plentiful and delicious. This visit was so loud that it made it hard to talk. Keep that in mind when looking for a place that’s conducive for conversation with soft spoken people.
Love the place Love the service!
Good food and experience. A little loud given it’s a big room
This place was great! The ambiance is nice, the patio is fantastic, the food is good and service-wise, we were well taken care of. The avocado toast was delish and the roasted cauliflower was quite tasty. I would have liked more yummy sauce with the cauliflower and the carrot appetizer but I always want more sauce. I was delighted with the veggie, vegan options.
I thought the rigatoni bolognese was a bit rich, but my fiancé loved it!
The flourless chocolate cake was fantastic.
City Mouse is located in the Ace Hotel, which is apparently dog-friendly. It was so adorable seeing the dogs, but no worries if you're not a dog fan, there is a separate entrance to the restaurant.
Have already recommended City Mouse to friends.
Great food and service
A beautiful room, the food started off outstanding, but soon because bland. Everything was prepared perfectly, just not a lot of flavor in some really simple dishes. Disappointing given the pedigree of the chef. And the wines were all served at too warm a temperature.
Having said that, the burrata was outstanding, the burger and fries excellent, cocktails were lovely, and the coffee creme brûlée fabulous.
Perhaps we will give it another shot.
Great food and service, great interaction with our server!!
I felt mixed about my visit to City Mouse. The location is fun and the patio was great. Service was very good. I felt the menu lacked. We were there during happy hour but did not get any information about it or get to see what the specials were. The server just said oh, btw, we have a happy hour special drink if you're interested. They also did not seem to want to divert of the drink menu for cocktails. I was not impressed with City Mouse.
Awesome. Love this place.
Our server was amazing!
The waiter disappeared without notice.
Breakfast with friends. Second time here for breakfast. Limited menu but nice choices. Great bacon and sourdough bread.
Great food, fast service...lovely patio seating
Salmon Bagel and Corned Waygu beef sandwich for brunch was amazing, would have liked more attention from server. also brought the check before we were done. Made us feel a little rushed.
Simple menu, excellent quality. Can’t beat that it’s dog friendly.
Great Burger! Excellent Service!
Went there with colleagues from the office after a meeting. The waiting time to get our waiter to take our order of food is longer and getting our food is much longer. The food taste is delicious.
any restaurant with pancakes this good AND an electric organ playing in the background deserves five stars every day. hashbrowns were excellent as well.
Fresh, clean, and relaxing! The service was great and the atmosphere was perfect for a Saturday brunch with friends.
This is the perfect place for a birthday celebration or a regular night out. Great service, food and atmosphere!
Great wide Open space that can accommodate large groups easily. The vibe is pretty casual, so casual in fact I was surprised with how refined the menu was. Everything was delicious, I’ll be at expensive, and the drinks were great to match. Will definitely return.
Energetic atmosphere with a simple, clear menu with a multitude of flavours to suit. Attentive staff that strives to ensure we were take care of.
This is for brunch - It was weird Bc I had a reservation but I was put outside the actual restaurant and it seems like walk ins were going into the main area. The hostess was very nice though. Burger was great. The service was slow. The main area was a bit loud. It felt too much like sitting and eating in a lobby/hallway not in the main area
Food was good but didn't realize that entrees didn't come with any sides at all. I would have ordered a side salad (or something) had I known.
Sunday brunch was excellent. Food was fantastic and the Bloody Mary is killer! All in all, a great spot with plenty of room for big groups.
Everything was delicious
We really enjoyed our dinner at City Mouse. The patio was so comfortable and relaxed. Even though it was a bit cool outside, the heaters were great. The noise level there was much better for conversation than the lobby, which was a bit noisy when we arrived. The service was outstanding, with a very knowledgeable waiter and several friendly others bringing various dishes and drinks. The Country Mouse is fabulous- but very tiny. It is a taste sensation in one bite. Other dishes were more traditional but well-prepared. I really enjoyed the chicken and we loved the brussel sprouts salad. My husband had a very good burger. The accommodations for his "keto" needs were made without question. We will go back!
Service was very mediocre. Upon arrival, no one was at the inside host stand, so I went outside. The waitress outside at a computer told me that a hostess would be right with me. Three minutes passed and the same waitress came up to me and gruffly said, “You know the host stand is inside, right?” I was eventually seated at a table for two where we had to share a small bench with the table next to us. We were basically on top of each other. My girlfriend was running late so I was sitting alone, and it took 10 minutes for someone to take my drink order. Mind you, with respect to both my seating and drink order, this place was not busy. There was no reason for any delay. The service staff just seemed poorly trained. Food was okay, but definitely trying too hard to be hip. Wouldn’t recommend it or return.
So happy to have found this place. Beautiful patio with excellent music and vibe. Dog friendly outside, as well as inside in the lounge area! I was meeting friends I hadn't seen in a year so we stayed long past our meal time (which I acknowledge was not cool), but the wait staff was still nice and didn't throw any daggers our way. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town!
The service and cocktails were excellent! Meal portions could be improved.
