Everything was wonderful, it was a little hard to find but with the help of the hotel we were quickly able to locate it. The menu is very different but once explained more thoroughly we loved everything we ordered. The desserts could be bigger ;-)
So this was a planned date night for my girlfriend who was visiting me from Miami, FL & man did I choose the right place; it was perfectly executed. From my Girlfriends perspective, she states that the food was excellent. From walking into the hotel, it was old fashioned but at the same time still new and intriguing. Once we found the restaurant, we were very surprised to see what we saw. We weren’t expecting a view like City Hall Bistro, then again we didn’t know what to expect. It was elegant, beautiful but not too loud considering the color scheme of gold and white. We enjoyed it very much. We sat down and my girlfriend enjoyed “Lily’s Tonic” so much she had to have 2 glasses.
As an up and coming chef in the world doing my best to make it up the ranks in the kitchen brigade and open my own restaurant in the future, I loved the restaurants idea of a “Clipboard” menu. It gave that feel as if I was in a city hall and we had an agenda to follow through in the next two hours that we stood there and dined. I really wish next time we can possibly dine in front of the kitchen staff and observe how things get done, that’s where I get lost in time! Getting back to the dinner, everything was beautifully executed from the hummus all the way to the churros. Her favorite dish was the grain salad, while mine was my main dish in the gnocchi. I want to say that the purée at the bottom of the plate was a foam from how airy it was; and whatever it consisted of, BRAVO from the both of us. That was amazing. I had a bite and I was in so much awe of that precision and effect you were able to get in bringing that dish to life. The churros were also amazing and the floral accent you were able to get on the saffron ice cream was TO DIE FOR! At least in my opinion.
Overall; we both enjoyed our dinner very much. I hope that City Hall Bistro opens a restaurant in Miami, therefore I can possibly work for you in bringing your caliber of food to life in Miami, FL.
All of the food was amazing. Great value and quality for the price point.
Food was so well seasoned and cooked to perfection
This is an incredible place to eat! It’s absolutely beautiful inside. The chefs definitely know what they’re doing, and the service is phenomenal! I would recommend City Hall Bistro to anyone!
Was very disappointed - went for Father’s Day brunch and they were out of waffles, French toast, lamb sausage and sourdough bread.... were very few people there so not sure why they didn’t have any of their main items. Won’t return.
Ordered an omelet with grilled chicken sausage - omelet comes out without the sausage, so I wait. 8 minutes go by and I ask where is the rest of my order and he say 2 minutes- I waited 30 seconds and left. Incomplete meal
Reasonably priced for a restaurant of this caliber, excellent service. Even better food. Eat here.
Awesome food, nice ambiance. The offerings are unique and different from most Dallas restaurants, which I found really refreshing. Our server was excellent. The interior of the Adolphus Hotel is additionally gorgeous. I think this place will become much more popular pretty quickly!
Amazing food! Grilled octopus, scallops, and the pappardelle are must haves!
Cocktail was too sweet.
The food was delicious!
We had a lovely dinner and the service was excellent!
HORRIBLE. The food was absolutely terrible. I'm not sure if it's because it was Memorial Day and they didn't have their chef in the kitchen. The "Pita bread" was shameful. It was thin and floppy and yellow. Really bad.
The food was amazing! We loved everything we had. The flavors of each dish stood out. A definite return to this restaurant is a must
Love City Hall Bistro! It’s gorgeous the staff is lovely and the food is delicious for an excellent price. We’ve enjoyed City Hall for lunch and for dinner both visits were wonder. Would highly recommend!! Not to mention it’s at the GORGEOUS ADOLPHUS HOTEL!
This was our 2nd visit to City Hall Bistro and we hope it was just an off night. A few of the things we enjoyed on our first visit a few months ago were no longer on the menu- we miss the Mezze board and the pine nut tart. Our server was spread too thin and wasn’t interested in helping us with the menu. He was kind enough to recommend a wine to go with our short rib though. We thought the charcuterie board was good, the crab and pimento dip was just ok, the wagyu short rib was delicious but small and the roasted carrots were wonderful! The supporting staff was very friendly and helped to save the day, but we were looking for a special dinner with our stay at the Adolphus and didn’t really find it at City Hall this time.
Best New restaurant in Dallas!!!
Tucked away in the Adolphus Hotel, City Hall is a dining gem. The menu selection has an innovative, modern sensibility thanks to a top notch Chef. The result is food that is truly delicious and not pretentious or fussy. Upscale comfort food is the best way I can describe the experience. We have eaten here for dinner and brunch and both times we were wowed by the freshness of ingredients and the sublime combination of flavors. If you haven't eaten at City Hall yet, come out from under that rock and make a reservation. For Brunch or Dinner, I'd put this on the top 5 list in Dallas. Enjoy and don't eat there too often or I wouldn't be able to get a reservation.
Fantastic meal, amazing service, great experience. Beautiful space
Very good appetizer, lackluster main course (big eye tuna was just Ok in quality).
Absolutely impeccable waitstaff.
Food was very slow: it took over 45 minutes for steamed fish, on an evening with maybe 10 patrons in the restaurant.
The atmosphere was a bit stark and bright for dinner. Service was slow and not friendly. Food was good.
Wonderful food and ambiance! Classy without feeling stuffy.
Excellent place for a first date or business brunch.
The menu is so limited that you either walk out or choose something because it's the best of poor choices. This is a Bistro in a hotel and the menu seemed as if it came from a chef who was trying to impress other chefs in a foreign country.
My steak was very good and cooked to perfection, but it came on a plate surrounded by onions, no sides, and the a la carte sides were also ridiculous.
I asked the manager why the lights were so bright for dinner and he said because we are showing off the subway tiles. The decor as nice, but there is such a thing as a dimmer switch.
We came to the Adolphus for a weekend getaway for my wife's birthday. We ate breakfast at City Hall Bistro. We were warmly greeted by the hostess and were seated in just a few minutes. Our server,
Heather did an excellent job of taking care of us during our meal. The bistro has a great vintage vibe, unfortunately the food was mediocre and lack luster.
Very beautiful restaurant, great seating and service, prices reasonable. We had the seafood paella with roasted vegetable gratin, tasted very good, but toast was slightly burned. Wine service was good.
This has been my first true good best food and service experience in Dallas, where people do their job because they are passionate, and such good food thinking on balancing every flavor and using the best quality. I just can say this is my favorite restaurant in Dallas and congratulations!!!
The coffee was great, and the french toast delicious. Service was attentive without being a nuisance.
This place was beautiful and friendly. Host knew who we were before we arrived and sat us as requested on reservation. The food was phenomenal. Great place will be back.
Good not great.
Friendly staff. Flavorful food. I had a the roasted cauliflower, the pimento toast with crab, and a quartino of Sardinian grenache. Would definitely return on my next visit to Dallas.
Great spot and really enjoyed our meal. Will definitely come here again.
Great, lovely service, beautiful presentation
Excellent cuisine, wonderful staff. So good!
Amazing! Great atmosphere and food
Start to finish - Not a good experience.
I will admit that the service was good and I was pleased with the wine but my dinner was AWFUL. The"Duck Salad" had about 4 tiny slices of what may have been duck. The rest was cabbage or something red drowning in olive oil. One of my guests ordered the fish and that was all there was in the middle of the plate.
We went there for my wife's birthday. They knew why we were there and many of the staff stopped by to wish her a happy birthday. The food was creative and delicious. The bartender knew how to make a great Manhattan. Parking is valet but the restaurant validates.
Gorgeous atmosphere and beautiful presentation!
