Our second visit to City Grill. Food and service was excellent. We were seated as requested in the reservation with a table/half booth. Our issue was with the temperature of the cool A/C air that was blowing on us continuously. We mentioned this to our server and she suggested the next table that was not any better. We were told that the temp would be adjusted and that the blower would not run continuously. My wife had a jacket over her dress and I was in typical summer "smart" clothing... we were both cold. Drinks, appetizers and mains were really good as expected and service was friendly and attentive. By the end of the dinner we were looking forward to returning to the warm Florida weather.

Celebrating my 80 year sister’s birthday! Chris our waiter was so delightful. Started with the escargot, the octopus and beef carpaccio appetizers - onto the chef’s s special - Delicious food ! I had the rack of lamb so excellent. It is the best restaurant in Jacksonville. I have never been disappointed.

I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. This hidden gem is one of my absolute favorite places to eat in Jax. This was my third or fourth time here and I walk away more than pleased every single time. The service is top notch and inviting and the food is excellent with great attention to detail. Curated oyster, seafood, and meat options but even the simple items like the broccolini aren’t looked over and will suprise you. I have had the opportunity to try the majority of the “fine dining” spots in the city and this is a clear standout by a long shot. Keep up the excellent work, thank you!

We had never been here before so I wasn't sure what to expect but it was lovely! The service was FANTASTIC. Our waiter was friendly, patient and informative. We had a great experience. Food was delicious. We are all excited to go back again.

We were looking for a place to celebrate a birthday, preferably somewhere we had not previously dined. While that can always be tricky, the menu looked good with quite a few options and the location was reasonable to reach (right after rush hour) and they had both off street parking and valet service. City Grille exceeded my expectations! Our waiter, Pasha, was excellent. He explained all the food options and explained that the chef could accommodate pretty much any food allergies, even making several dishes with vegetable stock rather than using a meat stock. The meal was leisurely and not rushed. We spent nearly 2.5 hours having dinner and to be clear, the courses were served in a timely manner, but we were able to eat each course without feeling rushed. We'll definitely recommend this restaurant to our friends and will return.
