City Council is a restaurant that focuses on healthy dining. The restaurant is a unique blend of restaurant and bar, with creative entrees and unique cocktails this eatery is just as much a nightlife spot as it is a restaurant. The most striking feature of the interior is the lighting. City Council is primarily lit with bare hanging Edison bulbs of varying heights throughout the dining area. City Council's menu is an interesting mix of international influences. The menu is split into starters, pizzas, entrees, irons and desserts. The irons are the signature item of the house and come in several different varieties. The two most popular variations are the Texas, with roasted seasoned potatoes blended with jalapenos, red onions, pico and avocados and the Far East served with Asian slaw spicy peanuts, soba noodles, hoisin, broccoli, mushrooms and roasted peppers.

Service was awesome - definitely a great and relaxed/casual atmosphere. Only other comment I would make is that the menu is a little too varied - and not consistent. Doesn’t know whether to be a bar menu, Tex Mex or modern American... choosing one cuisine and doing it well would be a good move for this place vs. trying to cater for everyone and not getting it quite right.

Terrible service. It was very slow that day so there should not have been any issues. Side dishes did not come out with the food. Server was nowhere to be found for at least 20 minutes.

Drinks are tasteless. I have never had a worse bar drink. The Frose tastes like a snow cone with no syrup. Service was a joke. BUT the food was really good

Menu on Open Table barely resembles the actual menu on the website and what is actually offered in the restaurant. Then, they were out of or substituted a few things from what actually WAS on the menu. More of a bar with food than "gastropub". Probably a good place for a patio and to watch sports but overall just "meh".

I don't blame our waitress for this, but rather management, but she was the only one serving the entire place and it showed. She was stressed and there were delays. I commend her commitment to getting the job done.

I rarely if ever complain about bad service after being in this industry but Lordy, Terrible terrible service here. Plan on getting your own silverware, getting your own drinks(soda and liquor). If you’re lucky the food will come out together so people aren’t eating separately. Overall terrible experience I wouldn’t recommend to anyone unless mgmt trains these servers on how to work. On the positive side, Food is actually really good.

Would not recommend. They were out of so many menu items we only had a couple of items to choose from. Once we received the pizza ordered, it was even missing a topping. Server was nice but did not make up for horrible experience.
