We had a delightful time with friends and very nice meal. Sad to read today that Citrus closing.
Really enjoyable atmosphere. Great service and food/presentation was really good.
Everything has to be remade except burger. Old chairs without stuffing uncomfortable. This place was good a decade ago. Call Fonzi, shark time!
Came for lunch after the Miami Hurricanes football game. Good place, Flatbread steak was great.
Great service and food
Always reliable. Always interesting menu. High quality ingredients well prepared. Attentive staff. Moderate to expensive pricing.
great cuisine with a menu that is constantly changing. one of the great gems in orlando. a foodies delight!
Food was delicious. I had Shrimp and Grits. 4 Nice size shrimp and creamy grits. Wine selection was not bad. You could find a wine to compliment your meal nicely.
Recently dined at the Citrus with 4 other men. Food was outstanding, server (Hillary) was great, prices were reasonable for the quality. Would recommend for business, friends get together, or date with someone special.
Had chicken with a salad. The meat was terribly charred.
I travel on business frequently and look for places with great food, a quiet atmosphere, a good bar and comfortable for someone dining alone. This fit the bill! The food was well prepared and original, great mixing of flavors, thought to the presentation and side orders. The waiter was attentive and, when the restaurant didn't have my first choice in wine, was able to recommend another that was great.
My daughter-in-law joined me for a dinner prior to a concert and it was a great start to the evening. Our waiter was very pleasant and helpful in explaining the menu offerings and wine/beer choices. We both had a seafood entree which were perfectly prepared with an interesting side of Risotto, or vegetables. The restaurant is lovely and also has a nice outdoor area. They offer $5 Valet but there is free parking and easy access to the attached building garage. Highly recommend the location for a quiet dinner with friends.
Had a great time!! Food and drinks were delicious!! Service and ambience were wonderful. Will be back!!
All was great ...... I did have a Caesar Salad and would get 1/2 the dressing or "on the side" next time.
Great little restaurant north of downtown Orlando on Orange. Beautiful dining room with full glass front wall for watching the scene outside. Very open, very chic feel to the room. Fantastic lighting for dinner. Service is very attentive, as a nice restaurant should be. Brussel sprouts were huge, plentiful, and roasted to perfection, just the way you do them when you know what you are doing. Mussels appetizer was lick-the-plate good with plentiful mussels and fantastic sauce. Black bean soup was good enough. Salmon dinner had a great char on the skin and a nice topping, but alas, inside was partially undercooked although the waiter specifically asked me and I said "not gelatinous". Salmon was on a bed of creamed corn/vegetable mixture that was also unique and delicious. Vodka martini was good. Beers were very local, with a lot of interesting options to choose from, including a new favorite chocolate porter. Will go again and recommend to my friends. I'd forgotten how good this place is.
Great food, attentive service and a nice crowd. The smoked salmon cobb salad was delicious and the whole menu was filled with great choices.
This is a hidden gem for us. Of all 12 Magical Dining restaurants we visited (some were favored repeats from other years) Citrus was the best by far. The mussels were amazing with their chorizo slices in the sauce flavored with a bit of lime and just a tad spicy. The two large toasted bread slices soaked up all the wonderful juice as well. My pork chop on polenta had a rich, deep flavor while my husband's fish was delicate and very tasty. My key lime dessert was just the right amount of sweetness without the cloying taste of most key lime pies and its crust was light and crunchy. Our waiter and staff were wonderful as well. We look forward to coming back again for dinner on our night downtown.
We love Citrus, and our meals were very good. However, my fish entree (Wahoo) was not cooked through. It was raw a couple of bites in. Since I didn't see our server, I flagged down one of the hostesses walking by and asked her if she would mind having the kitchen cook it through. She asked me if I wanted it "well done" as if I had ordered Sushi grade Ahi Tuna and wanted it cooked through. Wahoo is the type of fish that is supposed to be cooked through, not raw in the center, but it seemed like she was automatically trying to push back so I didn't expect any accommodations to be made because of it. Very strange. The server came by and saw my husband eating and me sitting with no dish in front of me, asked me what happened, and apologized that we were not able to eat together because the fish had to be cooked. Long story short, when the bill came, I certainly didn't expect my meal to be comped, but had my one drink from the bar been comped, it would have been an inexpensive way for the restaurant to acknowledge what had happened. Wishful thinking. That put a little bit of a bad taste in my mouth regarding Citrus, despite the fact that I think the food and atmosphere are great, and the servers are also very nice. I now feel strange about going back there.
Hardly any cellphone coverage
Need a wifi repeater or something
Love this place! Went there four years ago when visiting from out of town for a soccer tournament. Now our daughter goes to college in Orlando and we couldn't wait to get back there! Food was as great as we remembered. Thankfully we can visit more often!!
We LOVED Citrus! Visited during Magical Dining month and all the food items on the menu were delicious! The restaurant was nice and quiet with an open floor plan and beautiful glowing lighting. We were seated in a large comfortable booth facing the window. The bar area looked comfortable as well. It was quiet enough for conversation and we enjoyed ourselves from beginning to end. I'd definitely recommend this for a date night or celebratory meal :)
We went during the Magical Orlando $33 per person program, but have been there a number of times. Service very good. Food good, except my fish sat under a light for awhile before being served - still good. Wife's porkchop was excellent. I like dinner there better than lunch. Staff seems more relaxed.
We hadn't been to Citrus for a while and wanted to re-visit. Had excellent attention from Tim and in addition to good service, he made excellent recommendations on food and wine. We were very pleased with the tuna crudo which was a large serving and of high quality. We will return.
Lunch feels like all business. Tables are far enough apart that private discussions can happen. The wait staff is informed but not intrusive. Ambience is quiet elegance but not stuffy. If you've made reservations before you are greeted by name. Make reservations for lunch BTW. Outside of summer, this place is busy. The food goes from normative to adventurous. So, look carefully at the ingredients: like there was pickled okra on the Mayor Dyer Cobb Salad. I like pickled okra, so it was not a problem. I thought the whole salad was delicious. Everything is always well prepared. No bad food here! I've been several times, and this time won't be my last.
Great food and service as always!!! Easy to get in and out on my lunch break!
Was great food service and ambiance. Restaurant was nearly empty on a sat night though.
My drink was so bitter it was undrinkable, and my pork porterhouse was so salty it was inedible.
This was our second time dining at Citrus and we were again blown away by both the service and the food. We will become regulars now and bring friends along in the future.
Try the octopus--great smoky flavor and so tender you can slice it with your fork. It was so delicious that we ordered a second appetizer portion! We split the mahi main course and it was the best preparation of mahi we've ever had. The okra succotash served alongside was perfectly prepared as well. Everything was so fresh and perfectly seasoned. Really outstanding.
If you are a fan of fresh, farm to table ingredients, this is your place! Best and most memorable meal we've had in quite some time. And our server, Stephen, was perfect.
The location of this restaurant is ideal if you have an event at the Amway or Dr. Phillips; however, we will gladly drive from Windermere just to dine here. A nice change from the Sand Lake "chain" type restaurants and the ambiance is nice, too.
Great food, Great service! Wish I would've tried it sooner!
We overordered as the portions were much bigger than expected. We ended up taking half of lunch home. Two of us ordered two appetizers and a flatbread. The mussels alone were enough for two ladies to share. The carpaccio was ample as well with 4 good size slices. The brisket flatbread was crispy with balsalmic glazed brisket and grape tomatoes carmelized in the oven. Our server was professional and personal, bringing out each appetizer and the flatbread in succession.
All good ... as usual. Great for lunch and not to crowded.
I loved the open feeling of Citrus. The wait staff was knowledgeable and friendly. The menu is full of wonderful choices and the Smoked Salmon Salad is unique!
Food and everything was excellent including server Amy T.
Asked for a more private table for conversation with client but not available so a little noisy to be able to hear conversation for 6 and be able to engage and add value to discussion.
The Citrus Restaurant was an elegant and relaxed experience. The atmosphere was topped only by the delightfully robust execution of the main courses. Even after many days, our flavor palettes are still singing the praises of each bite of food we ate. Well done Citrus Restaurant!
Incredible food and service. Everything very flavorful and unique. Cocktails were also very good.
Went to Citrus last Friday night before going to performance at the Dr. Phillips Center. Let staff know and had fantastic service. Food was also excellent-don't pass up the venison if on the menu!
Food was spectacular and we couldn't have had a nicer server. We'll be back for sure.
The food was so good. They were running a special that included your choice of two different burgers and two different bourbon drinks. We got one of each as did the couple we were with. All I can say is Wow!! Two of the best burgers I have ever had.
Great for lunch and our waiter was amazing. It was an amazing hidden spot in Orlando.
Amazing mix of cocktails that are fresh, Octopus app was great , best Tile fish I have ever had !! One of my favorite places.
