   This restaurant offers fresh oysters and prawns, constantly replenished food for the buffet. The hardworking waiters ensure that our needs are fulfilled. Overall, it was an amazing experience.

   Service was friendly and attentive. Half chicken dish was rubbery and had little flavor. Was unhappy with meal.

   We went for breakfast. It was quiet, yet meals took a very long time to arrive. Several portions of the "big breakfast" were missed from the plate. Bearnaise sauce was requested, but when the meal arrived we were told it could not be served as it had to be made from scratch. Omelette was bland and overall the food was just very underwhelming. This was a disappointing a la carte experience

   The food was great together with the experience. I was quoted and booked at $99 per head - considered a most reasonable and value for money. When the bill arrived it had an additional tax of $20. When questioned I was advised that this was GST. This was not stated on the confirmed booking. Most disappointing. GST has now been around for some 30 years and inspite of regulation, this tax is being used as a an add on. legislation states that prices must be quoted net of GST. An excellent dining experience left with a bad taste.

   I have written reviews about Citrique on many occasions and never had a bad experience ever. The seafood is always fresh and plentiful but once you’ve moved away from the section there’s a delight to suit every palate from Asian to Italian or just an old fashioned roast if that tickles your dance. The beverage service is vast and our waiter Max did a fabulous job making sure we were well looked after. 10/10 once again for Citrique.

    We have been several times, the food is outstanding and the service, we have been to all of the buffet restaurant on the coast, the Marriott is the best but I do have a grip, both times we were celebrating a special occasion, you do ask that when we book but you don't follow thro with maybe wishing my partner a happy birthday or a complementary drink,the crown plaza did..so not all 5 stars for me.
