The food/drinks/service was good but unfortunately, I became violently sick a few hours after eating. I ordered the ribeye and it was extremely undercooked, not wanting to say anything because the rest of the meal was great I ate it. The next day we contacted the manager to inform him and all he had to say was sorry. At over $100 a head I would expect a little better customer service than that.

Was excited to go downtown for the first time in several months. This restaurant was recommended to me by friends. We were sorely disappointed.
Service by Shelby was sad. Food was mediocre. We were outside in a loud tent. Covid is one thing but other servers actually cared about their tables. Ours was MIA and got order wrong more than once. Wine was way late to table. Check was wrong. What the hell?

The food was very unique and tasted good. My husband got the 30 Day Dry Aged Ribeye and it was superb! The staff was very attentive. We went for Denver Restaurant Week and thought it was a great price. However, I don’t think I would be willing to pay the usual prices for the amount of food we received.

It was a fun evening out enjoying Denver Restaurant week. The food was very good, however we asked for our burger to be medium and it came out very raw. Aside from that small issue, our prime rib and strip steaks were excellent. Great food presentation! Our server was great too!

Where to even start. Came here for restaurant week with my partner and was so disappointed from start to finish. For starter we got the beet salad and chowder. The beet salad was fine but very basic. The chowder was watery and not good. For the second course we got the burrata salad and the twice baked baked Yukon potato. Potato dish had good flavors but was cold, burrata was watery and bland. For main course I got the hickory Boulder lamb rack and this was just awful. It was Impossible to cut through because it was so fatty. Barely ate any of it. And, realized on my way home that they didn't include the kale or the Italian sausage that it was supposed to come with......giving it Two stars only because the server and drinks were great!

Sadly disappointed by the food especially for the price. Some items were cold when arriving to the table. I got a filet and the grill must have been way uneven. One end was well done while the other was rare. Guess that equates a medium rare temp?

This was our first time back here since the COVID changes. Same amazing quality of food and great service! Everything always tastes great and you can't replicate the taste from the wood fired grill they use. The mussels are the best - its a dish we get every time we are there! We also had the ribeye this last time which was amazing. If you want good steak this is the place to go in Denver.

When we reviewed the menu we were concerned about the variety of choices. We did choose the fish and the porkchop. The waitress fired the main course early as we had not finished our appetizer and wanted to bring it out. We requested that we have time so that we could enjoy our meal. Instead of producing new food, they held the items and then brought them to the table cold. After taking our first bites, we sent them back. The second time, it was better, but the porkchop which was supposed to be medium was well done and tough. My dish was most likely re-heated and served.

For the price, this is not what one should expect. We were the last customers of the night when we left and our waitress was not to be found. We understand that it was a Sunday night and during Covid, but all customers should be treated with great food and service.

The reservation included a note that it was my girlfriends birthday. During our meal, there was no mention or consideration towards this occasion.

If you are looking for a meal near union station, go to Mercantile. They got it completely right down to every last detail.

Super loud group next to us-drunk drunk and kept being served. Cussing and discussing inappropriate things so loudly a family near us had to leave. Outside traffic noise is above average. Need some type of trees or barrier to street noise. We were overcharged on our bill which they quickly changed once brought to their attention but felt like we just wanted out of there!!

Citizen Rail is a very yummy restaurant in a really cool part of downtown Denver/Union Station area. The biggest downfall to my visit is the portion size of the halibut entree. For $38, you get a bleak 3-4oz filet on top of a bed of creamed corn. The flavors were amazing but I was left wanting more and still quite hungry, which was the biggest disappointment for me. Would I be back? Potentially but not for dinner. Maybe brunch or just happy hour.

The food and service here was absolutely amazing. The issue we had was a table of 3 women sitting across from us speaking extremely loudly about how terrible white people are and this made the night extremely uncomfortable.

It was great to be back. I have loved this restaurant since the first time I tried it several years ago. It’s just as good as ever. The wood fire grill makes everything taste wonderful! I had the chicken liver toast and a beet salad to start. I followed it up with a perfectly cooked ribeye! Great dinner, great restaurant! I will be back

A very good experience. The service was excellent as were the cocktails. The food was very good but fell short of the rest of the experience. However, pricing for the food was pretty well on par for the experience. Overall, I will certainly put it on my places to return but it isn't a standout for me.

The chilaquiles brunch item was disappointing. Too many boring chips. The wait person said it was a spicy dish but it was not at all. Would have been better with less chips and more chix, eggs and quacamole. Have been here many times and they seem to be inconsistent. Sometimes great and other times a disappointment.

Our service was spotty. It took forever to get our drinks which were brought to our table after our first appetizer was served. I ordered halibut. It was tiny for the cost of the entree. I asked for a slice of lemon and it took another 10 min to have it delivered. I know things are difficult with Covid. This was my first date-with my husband- since Jan. I will not return.i was very disappointed.

The steak was AMAZING. We had the Tomahawk Ribeye. It's 48 oz and served for two, but the bone takes up a lot of that weight, so it's not nearly what you're expecting. The flavor was phenomenal though! At $140 for the steak, we wish we had gotten two of their ribeyes instead of the tomahawk. UMM>>> BRULEED BANANAS are incredible. Get the fries with the seasonings. Yummy. We'll be back next time we're in Denver!

Wonderful brunch on the patio. The poached eggs with avacado toast was perfect! My husband had the traditional breakfast and couldn’t eat it all. A mimosa or two and we were happy campers. Definitely will go back.

Hard to evaluate in these odd times. My pate and mussels were good, my friends burger and salad were just regular. The service was very slow and the second glass of wine that she asked for never showed up. With all the restaurants we like we probably won't return.

The $56 steak that we ordered medium rare was completely cooked through and not even a touch of pink the 2nd try was raw and cold in the center 3rd was good but at that point everyone else was fine eating. The rest of the food we ordered was mediocre. We won’t go back.

Had a great time catching up with a friend. Several great mezcal cocktails, and the bartender was gracious enough to make us some variations of classics from her excellent skill set. The burger was everything I wanted.
