Citizen Rail features regional American classics and contemporary riffs. The concept of grilling over a wood-fire resonates deep within the American culture, and our guests have a firsthand view of the show. An impressive wood-fired grill that incorporates the use of native hard and fruitwoods is the anchor of the restaurant space, kitchen, and menu. At its core, Citizen Rail is a restaurant that connects with the soul and fulfills Denver’s desire for restaurants & bars that are genuine, authentic and reflect the true passion of the artisans behind the stoves.

My favorite steak house, awesome atmosphere and everyone is always so nice and accommodating
The tomahawk ribeye is outstanding.
Food was good but way too expensive
Great staff!!! Super helpful and accommodating to a large party. Thank you!!
Our Server Elliot was perfect! Really made for an enjoyable Saturday morning
Very friendly bar staff with amazing cocktail creations!
Service was very slow. Pork chop was very good. Aged ribeye was definitely not worth the price.
Super tasty brunch... Dutch baby and chilaquiles on point!
Food and service was amazing! Great location and highly recommend visiting!
Great friendly service. Music is loud. Food is nicely prepared and nice presentation.
My husband and I visited for my birthday; for the special occasion we ordered the tomahawk steak for two for our entrée. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed in our meal. The flavor was fine but the chewiness of the steak was extremely unsatisfactory for the price. The service was lovely and the hostess was friendly but the steak was unforgettably bad. We were sadly very put-off by this experience.
10/10 would be back for the steak and cocktails!
Food was awesome. Drinks were rad. The service was amazing. Definitely coming back here.
This place is underrated for sure.
I feel like they had something for multiple price points. So you could get a burger for 17 bucks or a steak for 65.
For a restaurant that specializes and ages their steak in house we had looked forward to a good meal. It was by far the worst steak I’ve had at a restaurant. We left very disappointed.
Service was amazing, drinks were great! Menu is small but very creative and delicious.
Went for Easter Brunch, they had a buffet with huge pieces of roast beef, raw bar, and lots of fresh stuff. Servers made the whole experience safe and friendly. Great upbeat music.
Easter brunch was amazing. Definitely coming back in 2022
Easter “brunch”
Food was perfect!!!!! Service is good. A little bit pricey but totally worth it!!! Best aged rib eye in Denver.
Great food and great drinks! Who does steak better in Denver than a place who dry-ages, butchers and cooks the steaks over a wood fire grill?! No one is the answer.
They fit us in slightly after closing because our train arrived late. We kept in touch over the phone. The food and service were great.
Wait staff courteous, masked, attentive. Tables spaced appropriately. Delicious food in a safe feeling environment. Very modern, bare decor, music a little loud, but would definitely go back - the food is that good.
The food was absolutely delicious and the restaurant beautiful and clean. They did a great job with social distancing too, so my friends and I felt very safe as we enjoyed brunch. Great Mimosas!
The Citizen's Rail experience was great!! Everything was as one would expect. Great menu with combination of vegetarian and non-vegetarian group members. Service was excellent.
Excellent service, wonderful atmosphere. It was a lively bar but we could still hear our own conversation and the drinks were delicious!
Great restaurant for a date or special occasion. The food never disappoints and staff are always very friendly and accommodating.
Breakfast is always wonderful. Great menu, well prepared and all of the dishes are very unique.
We love their breakfast/brunch selections and the homemade donuts were a real treat!
The drinks and atmosphere were great, but the food was a little cold and lacked seasoning. Additionally, service was slow. Overall it was a good experience, but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat there again :(
We made a reservation, cancelled and then an hour later rebooked and the staff was super accommodating, even when our group changed from 7 to 9 on the spot! The food was delicious, just a little slow coming out, but I expect they were scrambling to accommodate our large party. The egg white omelet was amazing.
Pork chop was bomb
Excellent artichokes and mussels
Great food and service. Would definitely recommend Citizens Rail to anyone who will be visiting Denver.
Server was attentive and provided excellent service. The food came out fast and was delicious.
I highly recommend the muscles! My daughter and I went in on a snowy Denver night and we shared the muscles and the huge ribeye steak. It was more than we needed, but super delicious! The hostess and our server had the best attitudes! We will definitely go back!
We went with some friends to try this new restaurant. The staff was wonderful and the atmosphere is good. However the food is overpriced for what you get. Two guests had steak and they were not worth $65 each. The bone in pork chop wasn’t that great either. The drinks were good so this is a great place to get some drinks but the food is overpriced.
The mussels were outstanding, but the baby red oak salad was gritty, as though the lettuce had not been washed thoroughly. This was a bit of concerning let down on an otherwise innovative and delicious salad.
Modern chic atmosphere. Excellent service. Delicious food. Table spacing for COVID precautions was ample and greatly appreciated.
The ambiance was really great! Service was okay, we waiting for over an hour for our brunch but had good company so it wasn’t a huge deal. The food was pretty expensive for what it was. I got the American breakfast and the scrambled eggs were very overdone, the potatoes had a really good flavor but were also a tad burnt. For the price and quality I would not go again.
A little disappointed. Foo
