   The food was good but there were some issues with the size of one diner’s steak but the server brought another small steak and a mushroom appetizer in the house. Very appreciated. There was a crab gratin that a few purchased to go on top of the steaks but it was inedible because of over seasoning and no crab flavor. It was an up charge and was very disappointing. Overall the food was good but not great as anticipated.

   Food was shoved at me. Had to eat my salad holding my plate in my hand so they could put my steak on the table. Awful timing. Carrot cake was among the worst I’ve tasted.

   We celebrated my husband’s retirement. Excellent service from our Server Lexi! What an asset to the restaurant. The food and drink were as delicious as we’ve come to expect! Bravo!!

   One of the steaks was supposed to be Filet Mignon; but my husband felt like it was something else. Stringy, and not the tender filet he usually gets. Very disappointing considering the price. Also the room was very noisy.

   My husband & I went to Citizen Kane's for our Anniversary. Always love the filet mignon! The prices are getting a bit higher, but so is everywhere I guess. Service was great! I was facing a mirror that showed right into the wait station, so the ambiance wasn't the best. But, all around I would recommend this place to everyone & we have.

   My steak was excellent as were the mushrooms and salad with Mayfair dressing. However, my friend meal was disappointingly over done. Having said that he may have failed to specify the way he wanted it prepared and he did not attempt to have it corrected.

    We had dinner on a Sunday night so the downstairs was pretty low key. Our waiter was covering ALOT though as there was a large party in the main room then we sat in the smaller room which had another group. He did well keeping up and we were certainly understanding :-) CK is always awesome!

    Everything is top notch. Absolutely the best steakhouse in the country. As far as I’m concerned. My only issue with Citizen Kanes is that they need valet parking. This is especially important if you have a handicapped diner in attendance. It’s a real problem.

    Everyone talked about this place and we are foodies!! We both were not impressed! Food just didn't have no overall taste, bland and no seasoning. Steaks were ok, I have had better at cheaper steak houses. Glad we tried this place, but definitely wont be returning. Very loud upstairs, and for the price just expected better. Everyone has their preferences, so I say go try it , you may just love it!

    Went to dine before a concert. I ordered the ribeye and creamed spinach. Also had the house salad with Mayfair along with beef cheddar soup. Everything was delicious and I highly recommend this place

    Two steaks were ordered Medium Rare, but came medium well. The server, Kit fixed the problem immediately, but we felt bad because we spoke so highly of the steaks. Kit offered two desserts. The other problem was with the Shrimp Cocktail sauce. We've had this many times, but this time it was so spicy we could not eat it. When I got home I woke up at 2:30 feeling very sick and my mouth was on fire. I'm hoping that they just put too much horseradish in this time.

    Steaks are the best and price includes salad or soup and a side dish. On our visit the Mayfair dressing had too much garlic and soup too salty but other than that everyone enjoyed their meal.

    Citizen Kane's serves the best steaks & pork chop (hands down) in St. Louis! The appetizers are very goo. They have a great selection of wines. The service is excellent. The only negative we had was the loud group of people at the table behind us. Definitely no fault of Citizen Kane's. More, the way people have become disrespectful to others trying to enjoy an intimate meal. (We were celebrating our 42nd wedding anniversary.)
