Brian was a great server, Brian was very friendly and super kind! food was fast! everything was perfect, we stayed and talked a long time, we enjoyed ourselves very much! The special was amazing it was the surf and turf with Salmon and Sirloin- the tomato bisque was unreal it was so flavorful and delicious! I could eat that soup all day!!!! The service was so good and they gave us space to visit and talk with our friends and didn’t disturb us at all. We loved the sides and we were very happy. Can’t wait to come again.

Disappointing visit. We have loved this restaurant in the past. Last night, there was a very loud group at the table next to us. Their behavior was more befitting a sports bar than a nice steak restaurant. Management made no effort to tone this group down. Ruined the experience for us.

We ordered two filet mignon medium rare. Received them 100% medium to medium well. My wife didn’t even eat half of hers. Service was absolutely great but food was very disappointing. No we did not complain. Thats not us. Very unfortunate for $150.

The food was unbelievable. Best mushrooms appetizer), mashed potatoes, steak, salmon, and soup i've ever had. You will pay a sporting price. 6 of us, with alcoholic drinks, tip and appetizer was $500. Service was phenominal.

First they wanted to put us at a two top in the hall way. The waitress didn’t tell us about the special, onion rings where over cooked. When the meal came the food runner set it in the middle of the room and left it after five minutes the waitress served it and walked away my steak was to be rare and it wasn’t they recooked a new one my wife had a medium hers as overcooked we had to ask for a new baked potato because it was cold when my new steak came out.

Went to celebrate anniversaries and the staff/kitchen couldn't have been nicer and more accommodating. We requested first floor table as two of our participants are on walkers. There is a full staircase to the second floor. I do recommend to always make a reservation. This is a POPULAR place! The steaks and main dishes were fabulous. Pasta and sides veggies needed a little help for the cost of your meal. But I would wholeheartedly recommend this place again to anyone!

If red meat is your thing, Citizen Kane’s is definitely worth a visit. My friend and I each ordered their ribeye and it didn’t disappoint. The steak was generously sized, fork tender and prepared exactly as requested (rare for me!). Salad with Mayfair dressing and baked potato were excellent complements. Our server was attentive without being cloying, checking back only occasionally. My one concern — while Citizen Kane’s vintage house atmosphere is charming, the volume level was annoyingly high in the small room where we were seated. Made conversation difficult. Overall, however a memorable meal and experience. I highly recommend!

Sorry, CK, you lost us. Soup was a congealed mess that looked like an undiluted can of Campbell’s Cream of Celery. My filet was fine. My husband’s pork chop was too big, overdone, and flavorless. The shrimp scampi went untouched. Too bad, because this was a special occasion dinner we shared with family who had not dined here before. CK used to be our favorite. Don’t know where, when, why it fell off.

Great local Kirkwood restaurant. Steaks top notch. Onion soup was delicious. Mayfair salad was really good. My guest ordered off menu. Pasta chicken in a modified Alfredo sauce. So good, so she said. Service was great. Very charming venue.
