Place was great, views amazing, vibe was very elegant and private, food was alright, but very quick service. Definitely a worthy adventure
Terrible experience with a price tag of $355! Got there and our table was set up. Had to repeatedly ask for silverware. There were brown stains on the table skirt. I had a hair in my desert and the cheese cake was stale. Tried calling to complain but went into voiceMail. Properly ruined my an important introduction.
Food was generally good but more or less too "standard". Dessert was really a surprise. There was rose and candle on the table, which was nice. Scene was fantastic but make sure your seat is nearby the window.
It was beautiful great food great vibe and scenery i would definitely recommend this as a place to dine for any occasion.
Great food and amazing view. But I felt like the waiters were rushing us through our meal a bit.
I went there with my boyfriend and a friend while we were vacationing in Chicago and I thought I would like this place hence the amazing reviews but the truth is that the view is beautiful but the service was awful, the food was very bad and overpriced and they charge 20% tips automatically into the bill. If the service is so bad why am I obligated to pay 20% tips? I am more than happy to pay even 50% if the service is good, but the waitress was so annoyed and treating us so bad, they barely had wine list and the food was so awful that, NO THANKS! Save yourself from paying $500+ and being upset.
This place was a waste of time and money. They didn’t have any food that I tried to order for sides( macaroni, potatoes). The front door staff was unconcerned and after paying $125 for roses petals and candy, my table was completely empty of those items and then I was given the run around, so me and my part left. I would not recommend this place at all.
Loved it great experience!
Great food romantic vibe. Would return again. Drinks were great service was top notch
Reservations were simple to make. Information was clear on expectations. Flexibility to manage reservation was available, and responsive. 2-hour dining experience was reasonable, as service was timely. Parking became an issue if you have a large size SUV. Parking is available two blocks away, and was unable to receive validation for parking.
This special reservation was meant for my parents which I help my father to do a reservation at Cite with the beautiful view and amazing food you guys provide. But as the day arrives there were some complications which the experience was not the best.
Valentines Day dinner. One menu limited options. The duck was great the filet mignon was cooked unevenly. Lobster bisque soup just ok. Desserts very good. Did not receive the chocolate covered strawberries I ordered and paid for. Didn’t realize I had ordered and paid for until looking at my opentable reservation later. Out 45 bucks. Oh well.
Music was shut off at 9:45 pm made the restaurant very quiet which made it somewhat uncomfortable to talk without everyone hearing your conversation
Would visit again because the view is amazing and worth a second shot
Nice restaurant and food was OK. Felt like dinning on a cruise ship more so then a high end restaurant. Service was slow but I'll chalk that up to Valentine day rush and COVID. Music was broken so the restaurant was extremely quite, which made for a very awkward atmosphere. You could hear everyone's conversations......very uncomfortable. Id say try the place but seemed more like a place for high school kids to go before prom!
Maybe the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. The waiter never brought our drinks out after ordering them. We actually went 40 mins without seeing our waiter. I believe this is due to the fact that there was a 20% gratuity included.
The food was subpar at best. My filet ordered for medium rare came out nearly purple, see photo.
Overall, completely overpriced. Terrible service. Given everything is prepaid with a gratuity included, this restaurant seems like a 100% scam.
They're not too organized. Don't ever go there for the o verpriced food. Go there for the view.
Worst service I’ve ever had. Prepaid $450 for dinner package...didn’t even have a wine list (was told to google it). Overpriced low quality all around
The food left a lot to be desired. Way overpriced, you’re basically paying for the view.
Came for Valentine’s Day and enjoyed very much
Great ambiance, food and service made for an excellent evening.
This was a wonderful place to go to for a Valentines Date or any date. View was amazing and food was well prepared. Service was consistent and present when needed. Perfect place to go for a romantic night out.
Our host told us our dessert would be complimentary since it was my friends birthday. When we received our check it was included. However our server quickly removed it. I hope all employees are on the same page from now on
ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL! My man, and I absolutely loved it. The food was great, the roses on the table were fabulous and added a great touch to a perfect night. The view, the staff, it was great. Definitely going back!
The restaurant was very beautiful and inviting for couples looking for a wonderful dining experience. The decorum was designed to represent a romantic or special occasion for the evening. The food selections were both appealing & looked appetizing! The service was very personalized & professional. My husband & I plan visit Chicago again and visit this Dining establishment.
Except for the bartender Evelyn , It was a disaster
No wine list , no a manager ... people totally rude and incompetent.
We left before eating
My Fiancé was very surprised and very happy It was an outstanding experience
Food is delicious, I don't think you can go wrong with anything you order here, although the menu was reduced from its original version, limited to only a few options.
The food is not worth the price.
When we arrived and walked off the elevator and saw the city lights mixed with snow it was breathtaking I wasn't expecting the views to be as dramatic as they were, the view was quite spectacular, almost surreal. I couldn't help the giddy feeling I had, I felt like a child and wanted to skip around the restaurant to feel it all, silly I know, :) but it was exciting me coming from burbs. We were cordially greeted by Manuel and was promptly seated. The restaurant was quiet, a weekday. The music was pleasant and fitting for the restaurant... jazz standards that matched the views. The mood was sophisticated and it felt like I was about to have dinner with James Bond :) But my date was better :D The menu was 3 course prix fixe which was perfectly fine with us, post covid. Pricey but the whole experience merited it. Our server Manuel was attentive and friendly. The vibe was old school fine dining charm without the stuffiness. We appreciated that. We could RELAX and Enjoy... that was important to us. The food was delicious -- Loved the salad with strawberries - Main course Salmon (very tasty) and NY Strip both cooked perfectly... Chef Oscar greeted us after dinner, he was exactly what you would expect from an old school fine dining French/ American restaurant....Absolutely delightful. :) we chatted for a while and I was amazed at the longevity of the restaurant, almost 50 years POST COVID!! That certainly says alot and once you experience it you'll know why. Don't expect contemporary, this place is all about charm and romance and be ready to pay for it. My grade? A+
Waited too long for the service
Very disappointed 😔. It was our marriage anniversary. I will never return. Waited 30 min for server and 30 min more for the server to let me know that they messed up with my order . Me and my husband left very confused and angry ! They barely cared that they messed up .
Absolutely OUTSTANDING EXPERIENCE! WE LOVED IT!! So thankful they were open!! I could not have asked for a more beautiful view of the City! It was STUNNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We were able to enjoy a wonderful 3 Course prix fixe menu with choices of Wild Alaskan Salmon (which is what I had, YUM!) NY Strip and Roasted Amish Chicken. Even though, it was not on the menu - they gave vegetarian choices when we asked of Vegetable Risotto and Linguini and Marinara Sauce - they were very accommodating <3 -- my friend had the vegetable risotto, DELISH! It was a quiet intimate setting :) the music was very nice and the service was TOP NOTCH!! I really liked the fact that everything was paid for and was all inclusive. We left an extra tip anyway. We understand that prepayment was necessary because of the very limited seating, we were perfectly fine with that. We got the BEST SEATS with Package #2, they were JUST AMAZING!!! Kind of pricey but worth it and the drink package was included!! The restaurant is Round and we almost had it all to ourselves, we walked around took some amazing photos, they were there to help us with that too and enjoyed doing it!!! The whole experience was one to never forget for sure. It was NOT cold around 67-68 degrees?? Very pleasant to us but may be cool to others? Bring a jacket if your cold natured, at least we were not outside in a tent! I want to thank Chef Jose and our server Manuel for such an amazing experience dining on Top of the World with a view to die for!!! True Elegance without the pretention! GO!
This place is a sad shadow of its former self. No heat on the 77th floor. It was inhumanely cold! Food choices were extremely limited and the waiter couldn’t even properly describe what they had. Drinks were terrible. This is life during Covid lockdown but in the case where you are charging a family of 6 more than 1300$, get a space heater and have some universally appealing food and drinks. And clean the restrooms! This place was really an insult to the consumer.
The view was nice but I was very disappointed in the service. The restaurant was cold, the waiter was more of a bartender and was just filling in. My soup wasn’t hot, the bartender didn’t have access to the wine we wanted, and this overall wasn’t worth the amount of money they charged. The only good thing was the view and salmon.
Everything was perfect. Food was very good and the steak was cooked perfectly. Service is amazing, Pablo did a great job in service.
Would highly recommend.
It was a beautiful place with such a beautiful view.
The service was satisfying.
Birthday dinner for my fiance' and it was AMAZING. The view, the food, the service- outstanding. Will be returning for a date night soon.
The view is gorgeous and the food was delicious. It's a great date night spot
Wonderful good memories
