This was my 2nd time dining at Cite and the food was delicious! It was my first time trying the venison and it was very tender. The host was very accommodating. We arrived 20 minutes late and we still were seated at one of the best tables in the restaurant! Wonderful place for anniversaries, Valentine's Day, out of towers, etc. Definitely will be going back!
Place was good. Food and ambiance were great. Felt like we were being rushed out the door. Asked 5x times if they could take our half eaten entrees.
Excellent food, excellent service, beautiful views of the city and lake at sunset and beyond.
Despite being a rainy and foggy day, the view was spectacular! Looking forward to going back on a clear evening.
excellent, View ,service ,location,
The view was amazing and the food was great. However, it may have been too fancy for me but I did not like that the prices were not listed on the menu, that is just my opinion.
After a tough day, My daughter and I had a wonderful Easter Dinner watching the beauty of Nature from the 70th floor. Amazing view!!! Food was delicious and service was excellent: professional and friendly. This is a very romantic place too!!! Can't miss this great place!!!
Went for my birthday. Disappointed. View was awesome and had a good time because I was with the right people. But, The food was definitely not anything to write home about and for $85 per person you’d expect a lot more or at least unlimited mimosas/bloody Mary’s. With tip, we each paid $137 for Sunday brunch. Bathroom was flooding and the exec chef came out to check on how we enjoyed the food... we told the truth and stated, “it wasn’t very good.” His response? “Ok, enjoy”. Made for a story to tell, but had higher hopes.
Great experience with awesome city views !
It's a perfect place for an Anniversary, 2nd time that I take My Wife. Last year was our First year Anniversary and we went there last year and we loved the food, the service is really good no complaints at all, Quiet place for a Romantic evening and if you're just going for a simple Meal it's just perfect. This year I propose to My Girlfriend and she said yes. I'm the Happiest Man on Earth that I'm going to marry the love of my Life.
Last minute date night with the hubby. Wonderful as always!
The food was delicious and the view was amazing. My girlfriend and I went to celebrate our anniversary and enjoyed the experience.
We were visiting from California and looked at the reviews and decided to celebrate our sons 17th birthday there because of the view and reviews, they sat us on a table with the worse view, service was slow and dragged, our Filet minion was over cooked and not medium rare, the cocktails were not good, we returned them back several times, the party next to us was being extremely loud and overall over priced for the quality of service, food & drinks / not the best experience me and my family have had. “Sorry this is my 1st time writing a review cause I felt I needed to say something”
Best Regards,

My sister and I took our husbands here for their birthdays which were one day apart! The food was delicious, and the service was nice. The view was great! We all really enjoyed our time and would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Good food and great view of the city and the staff was nice too
This was a very upscale restaurant that we truly enjoyed. The atmosphere was phenomenal! The view was outstanding!!! Truly a great place. The food was 3 out of 5. It just wasn’t that good for the price. The Wildfire steak house is around the same price and tastes way better! 5 out of 5 for them for sure. Our server was great but our busboy was outstanding so we tipped him as well! There was 6 of us and our bill was close to $500.00. I wouldn’t take any of it back! Truly an outstanding experience to be 70 stories high!
Service was BAD after a large group arrived, our section was forgotten. It took forever to get anything after the large group arrival, Food was OK, lack of taste on some dishes but overall OK. View is incredible but the lack of service mad me mad. I wont recommend to anyone even for the view.
Best views in Chicago! The food and service was superb.
Outstanding food, service, and ambiance with a spectacular view! Highly recommend!
French influenced American food. Beautiful scenic views of Chicago from the 70th floor of Lake Point Tower. Food price ranged from $30-$50 for the entrée which I felt was pretty good price given the ambiance and overall experience.
Check menu online to make sure the options are to your liking. They use lots of reductions in the cooking, so if you are not into sauces then some of the options may not be for you.
I reserved a table for myself and my boyfriend for his birthday/ date night. I requested a city view knowing it was not a guarantee, but we had a BEAUTIFUL view. The service was amazing. So many smiling faces. The food was literally mouth watering- for the price it definitely was worth it. Overall, worth every penny. Will be going again. Thank you for a wonderful treat!!! The atmosphere was romantic.
Cité was the perfect place for our first date. It had a spectactular view and the staff was beyond welcoming. It was a great atmosphere. Plenty of low lighting so you can really enjoy the night skyline.
Good. Been visiting for 13+ years!
El Restaurante Perfecto
Cite was enjoyable. We were seated with a window view of the city and our waiter(s) were attentive. The food was okay, a little overpriced, but the service and scenic view made up for it.
Probably would have had a better experience if the view wasn’t blocked by all the fog but the food menu is very limited also but it was good overall!
Had a great time and dinner at Citè , the restaurant it’s beautiful with an amazing view
Food and wine delicious and service speechless!
Way to celebrate my birthday!
Loved it! Loved it! The staff were very nice and attentive🤗
Absolutely perfect. Couldn’t have asked for better service, or more attentive staff. Highly recommend this restaurant.
The view is spectacular, our food was perfection, but we didn’t get our drinks till a half hour later. Service was slower than normal, but sometimes I feel they think we want it that way to soak in the view. I would go back
Cite is located on the 70th floor of the iconic Lake Point Towers with sweeping 360 degree views over our fabulous city, the Gold Coast, downtown, the beaches and parks along Lake Michigan. That is what drew me to the restaurant, and the creative menu. We took the private elevator to the 70th floor opening unto the Maitre'd station. We were given a great table along the window and grand piano with a fabulous view of Lake Shore Drive. Hovering above the rush hour traffic as far as the eye could see. We chose Cite to celebrate the selling of our home. And the staff made it a night to remember. Service was impeccable, lovely china great wine and the food was exemplary. We started with a fresh romaine ceasar salad with fresh white anchovy and shaved parmesan cheese. Then the center piece of the dinner arrived. A 32 ounce ribeye steak to share, de-boned and sliced artfully laid out and topped with a fresh homemade peppercorn sauce. The flavor was outstanding and meat tender as could be. Just when we thought it couldn't get any better, our server surprised us with a complimentary bananas foster arriving on a rolling cart and presented with a whoosh of rum flambe! I highly recommend Cite. It is very fine dining and prices are high.....BUT you get what you pay for. Great for romantic night or a celebration.
The bar was quite nice too.... maybe stop in for a cocktail and appetizer sometime!
Great time, delicious food and great service. Took my girlfriend for her birthday, she loved it.
Our server was amazing! All our expectations were meet
The food was very good and the service was super good and the view was great. Seen chicago at night while dining was amazing.
the food was great but the service was quite slow and unattentive for how small, not crowded, and pricey the restaurant was.
1. Was initially seated in back over the roof. We joked about this on the the way there as "every time" we have been to this restaurant (5+ times) they always attempt to seat us there.
2. The chair had to be swapped out from the 2nd location we were seated at as the chair legs were noticeably loose such that there was a very high probability the chair might have broke.
3. No one approached us for about 5 min. upon seating.
4. We had to ask for the tasting menu.
5. Seafood tower was good. Soup was good. Salad had too much dressing. Wife's seabass was good. Ribeye prepared medium was horrible - tough, chewy and visually not appealing. I had to sent it back and choose Seabass instead. Mushroom side was good.
6. Wait and table staff was very nice and understanding yet a bit slow. Hostess was very nice and engaging.
7. Worst experience of all the times we have dined here, so much so that we talked about whether we should continue to dine here.
8. Not what one would expect from a restaurant of this stature. They can do (and in the past have done) BETTER.
My wife and I have been to Cite a couple times when we visit Chicago. This time I brought my Daughter and Granddaughters. Great experience. Treated my Granddaughters like any other patron. I have been to restaurants with comparable food, but never one with the food and the view.
So I just wanted to start off by saying Cite was very good last year when me and my girlfriend went there for Valentine’s Day. We loved it so much that we booked a table for this year. Unfortunately, we did not experience the same service. It was two completely different services and it was upsetting. When we got there we got seated fairly quick, but did not receive our menus nor get greeted for about 25 min, but the table behind us, which was seated after us had already received their menus and met their server. Our first course was bought out to us after our second course was served, which they didn’t even realize until I pointed it out. Our server did not check up on us until the third course was received. When our third course was received it was incorrect. We ordered two soups, but got one salad and one soup which caused us to wait even longer. The soup was ‘tableside’ but when we told them the order was incorrect the soup was bought to us already made. The whole experience was prolonged to almost two and a half hours. It took so long and we got so impatient that we asked to take our main courses to go. This was completely different than our first valentines there. I would love to book with Cite again, but the expectation that was set the first time was not even close to being met. Very unhappy with our visit and hopefully this feedback is taken into consideration.
It was Valentine's Day, they need more on the menu! Paid 175.00 a person and we didn't have any sides. The only seafood choice was salmon which was wack. The view is amazing and the waiter was great !
It was very nice the preset menu was well put together the ambiance was fantastic for our first experience. It is definitely a perfect place for dates and romantic special occasions. I am very pleads with dining at cite.
