Ciro's Speakeasy and Supper Club Ratings and Reviews
We had an amazing experience! My husband and I were there celebrating our Anniversary. The private booths were so much fun! The drinks were absolutely perfect! I would highly recommend Ciros to anyone who wants a quiet, romantic, intimate evening out! We loved the music as well.
I was really excited about coming here I had my reservation since the ending of November to come for Valentine’s Day. We got to the restaurant we didn’t get a booth we had Avery uncomfortable table. After waiting almost 2 hours for the actual antre to arrive all we had was steak and potato and I had the fish with potato. I was very disappointed to get the check which was shocking to me. $75 dollars each meal and 28 for drinks and I didn’t each any of the little appetizer that they bring in the beginning that wasn’t even considered an apetiser and specially not worth $75 dollars. I advice for everyone who goes there to ask for the prices because it doesn’t show it on there only drink prices. And the only reason I didn’t ask for pricing was because I was expecting the bill to be max $100 dollars. I could of went to Texas de Brazil for 100$ and would of been more satisfied. But I am very upset with my experience will definitely not be going back ever. Very upset with the whole experience. Worst valentines dinner.
Horrible! The food was good but when we got there the valet was rude and he didn’t even touch nor park our car (long story). We have been here several times and never had this issue. I booked over a month and a half ago and they sat us in a lousy loud bar where the bartenders boobs were about to pop out of her shirt every time she shook the glasses. They didn’t inform us at all that it was a fixed menu and when we requested the booth we had reserved we didn’t get one and there were a ton open when we came in AND when we left! Will not be returning! Spend your money somewhere else.
I have been to Ciro's a few times and am usually pleased. However, this experience was sub-par at best! The last time I went to Ciro's, I was greeted by someone answering the door asking if I had a reservation rather than asking for the password. This time, I was greeted by someone telling me to move back to let others out and never asking for the password again. IMO, this completely ruins the entire atmosphere from the start. Earlier in the week when I confirmed, I was told that I had a private booth but instead, was seated in the bar area. The lights were too bright for what I am normally accustomed to in this restaurant. It threw off the vibe for me. And no jazz music!! I was told that it would take a half hour for them to make monkey bread. I agreed since it is truly my favorite thing here. My 2nd fav being the cookie and spiked milk dessert. We were given an order of the Duck Fat fries for free which helped the situation a tad. Then we ordered the Arancini. It was"ok" but I was not blown away. Eventually the waiter came out with the smallest order of monkey bread I had ever seen . He informed me that he had to beg them to make these on the spot because the manager had 86'd them for the night and I was the only one receiving them. They could have at least given us something to dip in the extra cheese after what we paid for half an order! Then I went to order my favorite dessert but since we had been waiting so long for the monkey bread, they had already switched over to the happy hour menu! Thanks for the heads up! When I ordered my last drink, I was told that I would only have 10 min to drink it because it would take 10 min to get it from the bar and we were at 20 min before we had to be out of our table! I spent the whole night waiting for them, paid over $100, and left extremely disappointed.! The nicest and most endearing person the entire night was actually the valet attendant! He got a very decent tip! I'm done with this place for good!
Greatest Birthday celebration/ date night! I had a Ciro’s Burger with red cabbage and onions! My Date had the Duck Legs! Both superb! Austin (who was my bartender @ my first visit ) ended up being my server! His first night serving and he was great! I had the Flying “V” as my first drink then a California made Absinthe calmed St. George! I will definitely be spending more time here! Loved it!
Fabulous as always! Our waiter Kennan was impeccable. The only downfall was that this time when we were greeted at the door we gave the password as you are supposed to and we were greeted with someone that screamed out the door....Do you have a reservation? Kind of ruined the illusion that I was used to getting here lol. At least wait until we enter to ask if there was a reservation.
Food and drinks were delicious and service was attentive. We arrived about 30 minutes late for our reservation. The private rooms are booked on two hour increments. Our host politely advised us about half way through dinner that another couple had our booth reserved in about 45 minutes, which was absolutely fine since we were the ones late. Will definitely return. It’s a really neat place and a very unique dining experience.
Know what you're getting into when you come to Ciro's. Like the Speak-easies of the Roaring 20's, it is small, hidden (you need a password to enter), has a "period" ambiance, and will be an "experience". BUT, If there are any more than 3-4 (really no more than three and then the 3's a crowd adage applies) for their "booth" dining you will be cramped. Dining is primarily tapas style with food items coming out in no particular order and not meant to be privately eaten. The "booths" consist of a single curved bench that fits in a curtained rectangular space and there are three nesting tables on which ALL food, cocktails, waters, and plates, and silverware are intended to fit. They don't. If there are any more than two in a booth, you will be holding your plates and juggling. We had 5 and things spilled and got knocked over. The booths are also reserved for a limited time, so if you're not done eating or drinking or conversing, you will have to hope there is space in the VERY SMALL bar area, or the party is over. Gratefully, we were able to relocate so we could finish drinks and order dessert. The issue is timing...You're given a set window of time to eat, but you're limited by how attentive the server is, how fast the bar and kitchen prepare the orders and how fast it's served. This is NOT the place for a relaxing meal with friends. It IS the place for unusual, but classic cocktails (all excellent) and delicious food. We tried almost the entire menu, re-orderd some, and would have ordered more if the gong wasn't levied. This is not meant to be a negative, but rather an informative review. The service was not given a higher rating, only because of the nature of the set-up, and the self-limiting factors (bar and kitchen) already mentioned. The food was exceptionally good. The potatoes bravas (served alone or with the octopus) was so good we ordered it twice. The Char shiu duck (confit) was fall off the bone fabulous!e sure to have the cookies at the end.
The experience was awesome and romantic! The service was extraordinary from the moment we knocked on the door and “spoke easy”! Our waiter was fabulous and helpful! I would return here again and again when visiting Tampa. Assorted cheese platter was a winner and the cocktails hit all the high notes on our palettes. My husband really enjoyed every bite of the NY strip and the burger with the cabbage slaw was cooked to perfection! #5starexperience
I was soooooo excited to go here with a group of my friends but was very disappointed. Upon arriving we were told our reservation for 7pm would be ready asap once they cleaned out the area but we could get some drinks at the bar. After 15-20 min waiting at the bar we were seated. Our group had 5 people and we were crammed into a tiny area booth area with barely any room for our drinks on the tiny side tables provided. We all agreed that the drinks and food were excellent. We were very disappointed to find out that even though we made a reservation for our group and arrived on time, there was a 2 hour time limit on our table! So basically at 830pm the waitress came by and asked if we wanted one last drink before she brought our checks out... we would have liked to stay and would have continued to purchase drinks and food but were rudely kicked out because we had reached the time max. Disappointed because I think this place was a wonderful find but our entire group was very put off by close of our evening.
It was great ‘twas my birthday but not even a few moments in we were seated next to a very loud hooting and hollering group who became obnoxiously beyond loud that we had to ask our server to say something. It became a small horror to leave early and not being able to truly enjoy because of the company across. Although our server was amazing and the hostess was great it’s a beautiful ambience but this night went a little sour. Hope next time is better !
I absolutely loved it. Decided to take my girlfrend out for her b-day and I could't have asked for more. Even when the night started off very rocky when a curtain rod fell on top of our waitress's drink tray and knocked over everything. They not only clean everything up incredible fast, but they also took extra care to make sure we were ok afterward.
Took my hubby for a date. It was our second time there. My day was not going well and was very disappointed that a booth was not part of my reservation. As it was louder at the bar table we were given.
Kara(our server) was awesome! She was able to seat us at a better area and was on top of her game. We received our food quickly and it was VERY fresh....hubbys drinks were on point as well. Kara really “Made my day! I was VERY thankful. It’s nice to know that some people will go that extra mile. Thanks so... much! We will definitely return!
That was my first time and we considered too much the idea of a restaurant, and yes they do have some options. But after being there, now I can tell that is a really nice place for two or some friends to get together to talk, drink (nice options!!) and have some appetizer. For a real dinner I would go somewhere else. I am coming back!!!
