Service and food was terrible. It took over 15 minutes for someone to come by and offer us water and take our drink orders. When a server dropped off some of the drinks we quickly asked for them to take our food order because we had no idea when we would see them again. After our food had arrived we wanted to order a second round a drinks but our server was nowhere to be found. The steak was extreamly fatty and the salad was disgustingly salty. I’ve been to Ciro’s many times in the past and I have no idea what happened the other night! On the bright side the drinks were amazing.

Awesome concept! Great staff. Fantastic food. But dress code was not enforced and was terribly noisy when we were seated near the bar. We would go again, just hope for a quieter seat next time.

The ambiance was great, I just wish it was as quiet as the restaurant details made it seem. Other than that, everything was great

Cool idea, but the food was nothing special. We had three different cocktails and together we liked one of them. Service was extremely slow and plates came out nearly 30 minutes apart. We probably could have ordered more drinks but nobody came to check in on us. We’re told this was a “quiet” place, but apparently all those around us did not get the message. Might as well have been in the bar at an Applebee’s or something of that nature.

The location is beautiful, the inside is wonderful and I love the private booths. However, it is beyond noisy and FREEZING!! I was expecting something a bit low key and quiet but if that's your scene, I would definitely recommend. Just bring a Jacket!!

The menu for dining has changed. The items that are left, quality, display, and taste has changed. Great atmosphere, drinks are amazing, and i love the new look.

Wonderful atmosphere and the food was amazing, one of the best burgers I have ever had. The duck fries were second to none. Our waiter was amazing, but I think he was the only waiter that night. Our service was very slow. There were 3 of us, and our food came out at different times, and some of it had been forgotten. The cocktails were very good, but we had to wait at least 20 minutes for our refills. I was frustrated when I left, I wanted a better experience.

Took an old friend to Ciro’s on our first visit. The speakeasy theme coupled with private booths alone make Ciro’s a ‘must do at least once’ place. Menu is a bit quirky with wonderful never-heard-of-it fare. All delicious but you should be at least a little adventurous. Beverage menu offers only alcoholic drinks. Teetotalers may have to settle for water; we didn’t ask about alternatives. Despite an hour drive for us, we can’t wait to take our next visitor there.

The initial reservation went well over the phone. The person on the line was very clear about directions and ensuring my arrival. The food was very good as well as the cocktails. Both drinks that my GF and I bought were amazing and well made.

It was my first time at this establishment and I indicated as such. I was not sure how the private booths worked, but there was never an indication about them. Even upon arriving, our reservation had us in the bar area. There were several booths available, but there was never a mention of this. My drink a mintjulip had a very cold slippery glass. I dropped it after only having a couple sips. Waitress never made a comment about replacing it. Its a 13 dollar cocktail. I would have expected something along those lines. Cost to business for that cocktail is small to the business. It was my 1 year anniversary and I mentioned this on the phone and there were notes in the system about other things, but never was there a mention of this or anything. There was a proposal in a booth that the waitress overheard and she wanted to get them champagne. Really was a bad experience - service especially at a place that upscale was really poor. I am very unlikely to return though like I said, food was great and the drinks were good - but not going to drive there or pay that much for such a blah experience, especially for a special occasion as I'd probable be let down.

Drinks and food were amazing! We had the duck fries, crab cakes and duck wings. The fries came with a HUGE serving, but everything else was small portions which were plenty for both of us, but it was very overpriced considering the amount of food you got. All in all we would definitely come back, but just do drinks.

Ciro's is a cleverly crafted, tucked-away gem in the Tampa Bay area, near Bayshore Boulevard. I have wined and dined at this location around five times, consistently receiving excellent service and an interesting experience. My most recent outing was about two weeks after they had finished their bar area renovations.

For those who have never been to a speakeasy-style establishment, you have to call for reservations, and they'll give you the "password of the day." Ciro's only entrance is a wooden door, nestled behind some trees and attached to a condominium high-rise, sitting at the end of S Howard Avenue, not too far from some other notable restaurant choices along the strip.

The restaurant is advertised as an intimiate, quiet atmosphere where one must "speak easy." However, this is rarely enforced - if ever. The atmosphere is dark and sultry, and oftentimes gets loud, unfortunately. Prior to the renovations, they did have light-up menus which was helpful, because it is quite dark.

Every server I've had has been extremely knowledgeable about the food and drink choices. I've only ever had the duck fat fries which are quite good and come with an assortment of dipping sauces. Their cocktails are cleverly crafted and equally expensive and, arguably, overpriced, considering the quantity.

In any event, I think this would be an impressive first-date venue for the lad to keep in mind. There's an initial air of exclusivity when you first enter, but that's somewhat washed away quite quickly when you hear the noise that can sometimes be distracting.

I thought the benches were a bit uncomfortable....I wish the menu had more of a selection....waitress gave me the feeling that I should order their drink vs the drink that I wanted....I'd recommend this spot for its creativity and vibe...I'd visit again...

Will definitely be back! Food was amazing as well as the waitress Jessica! She was very kind and knowledgable on her drinks and food. My fiance and I got the Chefs Special which was Chorizo stuffed Quail and the Milk and Cookies and I definitely will be coming back for those fresh baked cookies!! I am not a drinker but my fiance enjoyed their Mai Thai and Pernod Absinth served French style. Only reason for not making this a 5 star was because I found it to be a little too loud for "speakeasy" environment.

Great place, fun and relaxing, especially the booths, we had a somewhat loud person next to us that kind of ruined to vibe, must of had one to many, Duck fat fries are addicting, chicken and waffles & burger was great, I dont have any negative comments, will definitely be back, Dont forget your secret code to get in.

The drinks are outstanding and harken back to the 1920s. Food and service were spectacular. A little difficult to find but I suppose that also is reminiscent of a speakeasy. The booths were very cozy and romantic.

Drinks were great food was good but wasn’t happy with the seat location I was not looking for a table by the bar I wanted to be in the semi private booths and they said it had to be by request but yet no one asked when they confirmed reservation. This was our first time I thought we could have been treated better with the seating.

Very good time overall. Both my wife and I ordered something new off the menu. Only caveat was that we waited a good half hour for our first cocktail (in spite of it not being busy) The staff recognized this without mention, and comped our first two cocktails which was outstanding.

Great food, good ambiance. Went to celebrate a birthday, waitress was great but the hostess was none accommodating to small yet special request. She tried arguing the situation which made it overall uncomfortable . For such an upscale place, it’s little things like this that take a good good experience to a great experience.

The rating for the food was actually for the drinks. The cocktails are top notch, bar staff is amazing.
They advertise food until 1am on the menu but fail to tell you the kitchen makes last call at 12:30am.
Also, the music selection was rap. Rap in a speakeasy?!?!? Made comments to staff and they agreed it was not good but the manager makes the music selection. I guess he doesn’t know rap was not around in the 1930’s.
Apparently, they play other music at different times and depending on the day, there is no day for rap music in a speakeasy, just saying.

I have been to Ciros many times and they have always been a great restaurant. But this time going back after the remodel left a terrible taste in my mouth regarding handling customers. The hostess shut the door as we were walking up I guess that’s policy. Once inside I asked for a booth, the hostess said we don’t have one at the moment but I can seat you and I said I’ll wait for one to open up while seated. While I was seated our server came over and I just simply stated we were going to get drinks but we were waiting for a booth. He said those are all reserved, and I stated I have reservations then he said everyone does. I stated I understand this, but I’m sure someone is bound to get up and we are waiting for a booth. The server right away had a poor tone and attitude and went on to say that I seemed to have animosity towards him. We order two drinks, and as the server walked away the two women next to us said he is terrible and explained to us how he had come over earlier as they were still eating their meals and stated to them that they have 20 minutes left to eat. I was shocked by that what kind of establishments thinks it acceptable to tell customers how much time they have left to eat it is absolutely unacceptable. I wanted to make sure we got a booth, while waiting for our drinks I waited by the hostess stand to make sure it happened which the hostess didn’t seem to eager to help, it wasn’t until I noticed two people leaving and I said well look there is a booth open. We were seated and server Cara was much sweeter than the server near the bar. Where it went bad was when we ordered dessert she so sweetly tried to tell us how much time we had left. Absolutely not, and I stated to her you do not tell us that. I guess this is a new policy that the owners think acceptable to tell people the time left and you may be busy now but in the long run telling people who are paying good money how much time they have left is unacceptable! And will lose business fast.

Absolutely AMAZING experience...drinks were on point, atmosphere was perfect, service was above and beyond. The monkey bread pretzel bites, my husband’s steak dinner, and the chopped beef appetizer were mind blowing amazing. The only disappointment of the night was my octopus dinner...it should be called a potato dinner with a hint of over cooked octopus accent...my plate was literally full of potatoes with 4 teeny tiny pieces of over cooked, dry, hard to chew, tasteless octopus. Even with my dinner plate disappointment, the experience was nothing short of amazing, I can’t wait to go again, and we’ve already referred tons of people!! This was the perfect venue to celebrate our 15yr Wedding Anniversary.

I was really excited about coming here I had my reservation since the ending of November to come for Valentine’s Day. We got to the restaurant we didn’t get a booth we had Avery uncomfortable table. After waiting almost 2 hours for the actual antre to arrive all we had was steak and potato and I had the fish with potato. I was very disappointed to get the check which was shocking to me. $75 dollars each meal and 28 for drinks and I didn’t each any of the little appetizer that they bring in the beginning that wasn’t even considered an apetiser and specially not worth $75 dollars. I advice for everyone who goes there to ask for the prices because it doesn’t show it on there only drink prices. And the only reason I didn’t ask for pricing was because I was expecting the bill to be max $100 dollars. I could of went to Texas de Brazil for 100$ and would of been more satisfied. But I am very upset with my experience will definitely not be going back ever. Very upset with the whole experience. Worst valentines dinner.

Horrible! The food was good but when we got there the valet was rude and he didn’t even touch nor park our car (long story). We have been here several times and never had this issue. I booked over a month and a half ago and they sat us in a lousy loud bar where the bartenders boobs were about to pop out of her shirt every time she shook the glasses. They didn’t inform us at all that it was a fixed menu and when we requested the booth we had reserved we didn’t get one and there were a ton open when we came in AND when we left! Will not be returning! Spend your money somewhere else.

I have been to Ciro's a few times and am usually pleased. However, this experience was sub-par at best! The last time I went to Ciro's, I was greeted by someone answering the door asking if I had a reservation rather than asking for the password. This time, I was greeted by someone telling me to move back to let others out and never asking for the password again. IMO, this completely ruins the entire atmosphere from the start. Earlier in the week when I confirmed, I was told that I had a private booth but instead, was seated in the bar area. The lights were too bright for what I am normally accustomed to in this restaurant. It threw off the vibe for me. And no jazz music!! I was told that it would take a half hour for them to make monkey bread. I agreed since it is truly my favorite thing here. My 2nd fav being the cookie and spiked milk dessert. We were given an order of the Duck Fat fries for free which helped the situation a tad. Then we ordered the Arancini. It was"ok" but I was not blown away. Eventually the waiter came out with the smallest order of monkey bread I had ever seen . He informed me that he had to beg them to make these on the spot because the manager had 86'd them for the night and I was the only one receiving them. They could have at least given us something to dip in the extra cheese after what we paid for half an order! Then I went to order my favorite dessert but since we had been waiting so long for the monkey bread, they had already switched over to the happy hour menu! Thanks for the heads up! When I ordered my last drink, I was told that I would only have 10 min to drink it because it would take 10 min to get it from the bar and we were at 20 min before we had to be out of our table! I spent the whole night waiting for them, paid over $100, and left extremely disappointed.! The nicest and most endearing person the entire night was actually the valet attendant! He got a very decent tip! I'm done with this place for good!
