Will definitely be back! Food was amazing as well as the waitress Jessica! She was very kind and knowledgable on her drinks and food. My fiance and I got the Chefs Special which was Chorizo stuffed Quail and the Milk and Cookies and I definitely will be coming back for those fresh baked cookies!! I am not a drinker but my fiance enjoyed their Mai Thai and Pernod Absinth served French style. Only reason for not making this a 5 star was because I found it to be a little too loud for "speakeasy" environment.
Great place, fun and relaxing, especially the booths, we had a somewhat loud person next to us that kind of ruined to vibe, must of had one to many, Duck fat fries are addicting, chicken and waffles & burger was great, I dont have any negative comments, will definitely be back, Dont forget your secret code to get in.
Service was great, both the waiter and bartender were very knowledgeable and friendly. Offered their suggestions and were spot on.
Super experience! Felt being back in the 20th again. Amazing food! Thank you, Jessica, for the fantastic service!
The drinks are outstanding and harken back to the 1920s. Food and service were spectacular. A little difficult to find but I suppose that also is reminiscent of a speakeasy. The booths were very cozy and romantic.
The ambiance was amazing, the service and food were great and the food was relatively priced. All in all an awesome experience and a place we will return.
Drinks were great food was good but wasn’t happy with the seat location I was not looking for a table by the bar I wanted to be in the semi private booths and they said it had to be by request but yet no one asked when they confirmed reservation. This was our first time I thought we could have been treated better with the seating.
Very good time overall. Both my wife and I ordered something new off the menu. Only caveat was that we waited a good half hour for our first cocktail (in spite of it not being busy) The staff recognized this without mention, and comped our first two cocktails which was outstanding.
Great food, good ambiance. Went to celebrate a birthday, waitress was great but the hostess was none accommodating to small yet special request. She tried arguing the situation which made it overall uncomfortable . For such an upscale place, it’s little things like this that take a good good experience to a great experience.
The rating for the food was actually for the drinks. The cocktails are top notch, bar staff is amazing.
They advertise food until 1am on the menu but fail to tell you the kitchen makes last call at 12:30am.
Also, the music selection was rap. Rap in a speakeasy?!?!? Made comments to staff and they agreed it was not good but the manager makes the music selection. I guess he doesn’t know rap was not around in the 1930’s.
Apparently, they play other music at different times and depending on the day, there is no day for rap music in a speakeasy, just saying.
I have been to Ciros many times and they have always been a great restaurant. But this time going back after the remodel left a terrible taste in my mouth regarding handling customers. The hostess shut the door as we were walking up I guess that’s policy. Once inside I asked for a booth, the hostess said we don’t have one at the moment but I can seat you and I said I’ll wait for one to open up while seated. While I was seated our server came over and I just simply stated we were going to get drinks but we were waiting for a booth. He said those are all reserved, and I stated I have reservations then he said everyone does. I stated I understand this, but I’m sure someone is bound to get up and we are waiting for a booth. The server right away had a poor tone and attitude and went on to say that I seemed to have animosity towards him. We order two drinks, and as the server walked away the two women next to us said he is terrible and explained to us how he had come over earlier as they were still eating their meals and stated to them that they have 20 minutes left to eat. I was shocked by that what kind of establishments thinks it acceptable to tell customers how much time they have left to eat it is absolutely unacceptable. I wanted to make sure we got a booth, while waiting for our drinks I waited by the hostess stand to make sure it happened which the hostess didn’t seem to eager to help, it wasn’t until I noticed two people leaving and I said well look there is a booth open. We were seated and server Cara was much sweeter than the server near the bar. Where it went bad was when we ordered dessert she so sweetly tried to tell us how much time we had left. Absolutely not, and I stated to her you do not tell us that. I guess this is a new policy that the owners think acceptable to tell people the time left and you may be busy now but in the long run telling people who are paying good money how much time they have left is unacceptable! And will lose business fast.
Absolutely AMAZING experience...drinks were on point, atmosphere was perfect, service was above and beyond. The monkey bread pretzel bites, my husband’s steak dinner, and the chopped beef appetizer were mind blowing amazing. The only disappointment of the night was my octopus dinner...it should be called a potato dinner with a hint of over cooked octopus accent...my plate was literally full of potatoes with 4 teeny tiny pieces of over cooked, dry, hard to chew, tasteless octopus. Even with my dinner plate disappointment, the experience was nothing short of amazing, I can’t wait to go again, and we’ve already referred tons of people!! This was the perfect venue to celebrate our 15yr Wedding Anniversary.
Great “speakeasy” experience!!!
Excellent food and drinks as usual. We are never disappointed at Ciro's!!
We had an amazing experience! My husband and I were there celebrating our Anniversary. The private booths were so much fun! The drinks were absolutely perfect! I would highly recommend Ciros to anyone who wants a quiet, romantic, intimate evening out! We loved the music as well.
I was really excited about coming here I had my reservation since the ending of November to come for Valentine’s Day. We got to the restaurant we didn’t get a booth we had Avery uncomfortable table. After waiting almost 2 hours for the actual antre to arrive all we had was steak and potato and I had the fish with potato. I was very disappointed to get the check which was shocking to me. $75 dollars each meal and 28 for drinks and I didn’t each any of the little appetizer that they bring in the beginning that wasn’t even considered an apetiser and specially not worth $75 dollars. I advice for everyone who goes there to ask for the prices because it doesn’t show it on there only drink prices. And the only reason I didn’t ask for pricing was because I was expecting the bill to be max $100 dollars. I could of went to Texas de Brazil for 100$ and would of been more satisfied. But I am very upset with my experience will definitely not be going back ever. Very upset with the whole experience. Worst valentines dinner.
Horrible! The food was good but when we got there the valet was rude and he didn’t even touch nor park our car (long story). We have been here several times and never had this issue. I booked over a month and a half ago and they sat us in a lousy loud bar where the bartenders boobs were about to pop out of her shirt every time she shook the glasses. They didn’t inform us at all that it was a fixed menu and when we requested the booth we had reserved we didn’t get one and there were a ton open when we came in AND when we left! Will not be returning! Spend your money somewhere else.
I have been to Ciro's a few times and am usually pleased. However, this experience was sub-par at best! The last time I went to Ciro's, I was greeted by someone answering the door asking if I had a reservation rather than asking for the password. This time, I was greeted by someone telling me to move back to let others out and never asking for the password again. IMO, this completely ruins the entire atmosphere from the start. Earlier in the week when I confirmed, I was told that I had a private booth but instead, was seated in the bar area. The lights were too bright for what I am normally accustomed to in this restaurant. It threw off the vibe for me. And no jazz music!! I was told that it would take a half hour for them to make monkey bread. I agreed since it is truly my favorite thing here. My 2nd fav being the cookie and spiked milk dessert. We were given an order of the Duck Fat fries for free which helped the situation a tad. Then we ordered the Arancini. It was"ok" but I was not blown away. Eventually the waiter came out with the smallest order of monkey bread I had ever seen . He informed me that he had to beg them to make these on the spot because the manager had 86'd them for the night and I was the only one receiving them. They could have at least given us something to dip in the extra cheese after what we paid for half an order! Then I went to order my favorite dessert but since we had been waiting so long for the monkey bread, they had already switched over to the happy hour menu! Thanks for the heads up! When I ordered my last drink, I was told that I would only have 10 min to drink it because it would take 10 min to get it from the bar and we were at 20 min before we had to be out of our table! I spent the whole night waiting for them, paid over $100, and left extremely disappointed.! The nicest and most endearing person the entire night was actually the valet attendant! He got a very decent tip! I'm done with this place for good!
We booked a table in the bar which you get for a two hour slot. The cocktail menu is great. Food good especially the truffle oil popcorn.
Quiet and sexy. Fabulous drinks and a discreet staff make this a date night to remember!
Great little hidden spot in South Tampa! Low lighting, and quieter atmosphere make it a great place for a date. Great cocktails, very knowledgeable and friendly bartenders.
Greatest Birthday celebration/ date night! I had a Ciro’s Burger with red cabbage and onions! My Date had the Duck Legs! Both superb! Austin (who was my bartender @ my first visit ) ended up being my server! His first night serving and he was great! I had the Flying “V” as my first drink then a California made Absinthe calmed St. George! I will definitely be spending more time here! Loved it!
So very romantic the only thing that would have made it better is if the table across from us was less obnoxious and there was a dance floor. Food was outstanding and can't wait to go back
Fabulous as always! Our waiter Kennan was impeccable. The only downfall was that this time when we were greeted at the door we gave the password as you are supposed to and we were greeted with someone that screamed out the door....Do you have a reservation? Kind of ruined the illusion that I was used to getting here lol. At least wait until we enter to ask if there was a reservation.
Fun experience, and great for date nights! My visit was perfect low key night with good drinks and on point service.
Reasonable Happy Hour prices
Seating/tables (while the small booths were cozy, the small tables don't leave a lot of room for food and glasses.)
Very fun, unique speakeasy, I like the difficulty in just locating the front door! Awesome privacy for dates.
The restaurant actually double booked our table by accident but Matt was very gracious and handled it perfectly for us. We had a great time and will be back soon!
Food and drinks were delicious and service was attentive. We arrived about 30 minutes late for our reservation. The private rooms are booked on two hour increments. Our host politely advised us about half way through dinner that another couple had our booth reserved in about 45 minutes, which was absolutely fine since we were the ones late. Will definitely return. It’s a really neat place and a very unique dining experience.
Incredible first time for my guests
This is one of my top ten dining experiences ever in my life. Get they scallops and an old fashioned. The attention to every detail was amazing.
We really enjoyed the experience and looking forward to going back. The food was great, the drinks we superb, and the Staff was amazing. Thank you for making last night a memorable experience for my wife and I.
Great place for drinks and food. Had the truffle popcorn during happy hour for only $3!
Fun and delicious! Great creative drinks, beautiful glassware. Everything top quality!
A little upset we weren’t given a booth even though there were a few that remained empty for the two hours we were there.
Best cocktails I've ever had in the Tampa Bay area. Cosy, dark atmosphere. Service is on the slow side because cocktails are crafted so precisely, but worth the wait.
Ciros was a gem recommended to me upon my arrival in Tampa. I loved the ambiance and set up. Great drinks and service. Food didn't impress me, but it was worth the visit.
Know what you're getting into when you come to Ciro's. Like the Speak-easies of the Roaring 20's, it is small, hidden (you need a password to enter), has a "period" ambiance, and will be an "experience". BUT, If there are any more than 3-4 (really no more than three and then the 3's a crowd adage applies) for their "booth" dining you will be cramped. Dining is primarily tapas style with food items coming out in no particular order and not meant to be privately eaten. The "booths" consist of a single curved bench that fits in a curtained rectangular space and there are three nesting tables on which ALL food, cocktails, waters, and plates, and silverware are intended to fit. They don't. If there are any more than two in a booth, you will be holding your plates and juggling. We had 5 and things spilled and got knocked over. The booths are also reserved for a limited time, so if you're not done eating or drinking or conversing, you will have to hope there is space in the VERY SMALL bar area, or the party is over. Gratefully, we were able to relocate so we could finish drinks and order dessert. The issue is timing...You're given a set window of time to eat, but you're limited by how attentive the server is, how fast the bar and kitchen prepare the orders and how fast it's served. This is NOT the place for a relaxing meal with friends. It IS the place for unusual, but classic cocktails (all excellent) and delicious food. We tried almost the entire menu, re-orderd some, and would have ordered more if the gong wasn't levied. This is not meant to be a negative, but rather an informative review. The service was not given a higher rating, only because of the nature of the set-up, and the self-limiting factors (bar and kitchen) already mentioned. The food was exceptionally good. The potatoes bravas (served alone or with the octopus) was so good we ordered it twice. The Char shiu duck (confit) was fall off the bone fabulous!e sure to have the cookies at the end.
We went out for our anniversary/ second visit. We really enjoyed both of our Happy Hour cocktails and our meal. Garrett was attentive and helped start our night off well.
It was fantastic!
