Amazing all around. And I highly recommend it for all occasions
This place had the perfect lighting and nicest staff.
We had a great time on Mother's Day. They were so pleasant, friendly and accommodating given that I have 2 under 2. The place is cozy but they offer great, friendly service and quality food (taste, portion and ingredients). I hope they continue to find success and people do not realize what a gem we have in the liberties.
Their "Amazing Stir Fry" was truly amazing. That peanut sauce is delicious. Pad Thai also very good!
The host was so nice and attentive. We actually tipped him when we left because he paid more attention to us than anyone else by far. The steamed vegetable dumplings were just not good - very thick and doughy with a chemical after-taste. The coconut soup had a good beginning taste, but about halfway through just could not be tolerated any longer. The pad Thai was tasty but the added tofu chunks were much too big. The crab fried rice was good, wth a lot of crab. Our waitress paid almost no attention to us and the restaurant was only 1/3 full (9pm reservation). We will not be going back.
I have gotten takeout from Circles countless times. It's a little pricey in comparison to similar takeout cuisine, but they have large portion sizes and its delicious. They have the best green curry that I've had in the city. If there is better out there, please tell me!
Most recently we dined at Circles for Valentine's day. We went for a casual Valentine's date and accidentally had a romantic one. The staff put in extra effort decorating the place with roses and candles, and they included a large, complimentary carafe of wine with the meal. It was very nice.
Always great food, never disappoints. Always worth the trip though tough to park on a Saturday night.
Service was very slow; there was only one waitress working the entire dining room. When we arrived, there were dirty tables and people looking around seemingly desperate to order or receive their food.
However, there were at least 5 other employees running take-out, which was annoying to watch as they ran through the middle of the dining room tons of times and were a constant interruption.
Circles, please get another server to speed up the service and please find a way so the takeout orders don't get run through the dining room every 5 minutes...we're trying to enjoy our meals.
Food was excellent.
Always very, good never great.
Very affordable cute place with amazing food. BYOB and good service just leave yourself some time to park.
It is BYOB and the service was not efficient but overall very nice. The food is what takes it to the top
Super slow service. After service us water, they come back until 15 minuters later to take our order. And then we get our appetizers until 40 minutes later and main meal come out until another 30 mins after.
After i started to mix my noodles, i found a RUBBER BAND in my noodles. I was so disgusted and told them. All they did was make me a new one (another 25 minute wait) and said "just charge you half for this". Umm.. that should have been on the or something. I definitely don't recommend this place after this experience.
The food all in all was cold to luke warm and bland.
Loved it! Great Thai food and everyone's dinner was amazing.
Great food at very reasonable prices. We enjoyed our dinner despite the extremely hot temperature in the restaurant. The air conditioning should have been adjusted to accommodate all the patrons, who also appeared to be rather uncomfortable.
Our first time here and it was Saturday night. Big mistake. We had a reservation and were seated promptly, but then began the agony of trying to get some attention to order and then to get our food and then to get a check. They do a booming take out business and put priority on that over the diners in the restaurant. They seemed to be short staffed in all ways and disorganized. Plus, they kept running back an forth in front of us nonstop bringing out the take-out orders so the atmosphere was terrible and terribly noisy. The food was good--though one duck dish was overcooked, but we waited a very long time for it. Then we wanted some of it wrapped because we hadn't consumed it all. Took 15 minutes just to wrap it--and then they gave us one of the wrong wrapped dishes and corrected that. We gave the waitress our credit card with the check and she just set it down on our table and walked away to do something else. Finally, after several minutes we walked up front to the manager/owner and said "We want to pay" and he ran the bill for us. Our companions who frequent this place said they had never been on a Saturday night and they won't go again on that night. On weeknights they said it's much different and much better.
I've been to Circles multiple times. Food is consistently good and service is efficient and friendly. This time we got the pan fried vegetable dumplings (so good), then chicken pad Thai and the crab fried rice (both excellent).
After several visits we didn't have the best experience when we went on Sunday evening. We each ordered an appetizer, I got the cheese steak spring rolls, and my wife always orders the steamed dumplings, which we were told they didn't have. No steamed dumplings? That would be like McDonald's not having hamburgers. BTW, the cheese steak rolls were very good.
We shared an entre, which was a chicken curry dish. The chicken turned out to be a barely-cooked leg/thigh cut, which was not tasty and was a lot of work. Not the right cut for this dish. The dish was not the one that was described on the menu. The ingredients were different and not well-prepared. I think it's because we got the "Sunday" cook and kitchen.
We wanted to finish the meal, as we always do, with a Thai Coffee, but they also didn't have that item. Strike three. We won't be hurrying back to Circles, although I might be willing to write this trip off as atypical and give them another chance. Maybe. We'll see.
The food was outstanding. Best crab rangoon I've ever had to start, along with some amazing dumplings. Entree was awesome too (although I can't recall what it was without the menu). 3 things - 1) it's loud so be ready to say "huh?" at least 75 times. 2) it's BYOB so don't forget your "B" (although there is a craft beer store on the same block that sells do-it-yourself mix and match 4 or 6 packs. 3) "Spicy" is really quite hot. I am afraid of what "thai hot" means. Overall, amazing and priced well. I'll be back.
Best Thai in Philly. We almost always get a few of the same dishes even though we've sampled most of the menu. The Amazing and cashew stir fry's along with the green curry and are some of our favorites. You can sub brown rice at request or extra vegetables for white rice at a small up charge. You can also go Philly style and get some cheesesteak spring rolls. Getting hungry now just thinking about it!
Both solid and creative Thai food
