About
So sad to hear they closed. I was just there and met some wonderful Texans from back home! The atmosphere and decor absolutely stunning! The food and service were amazing!
We were with a friend from Dallas. We had a great experience, and he loved it!
Amazing! Great experience. I would highly recommend.
This is a fairly new restaurant in the theatre/shopping district. The décor is lovely, very elegant and upscale. The service was excellent. The handcrafted cocktails were top notch. However we felt the food was just lacking a little. It's hard to put a finger on it, but it just felt that while it was good, it wasn't GREAT. Except for the Hamachi sashimi appetizer, that was phenomenal. I don't know. While I wasn't unhappy with the meal, I'm not sure I'll be back. There is a lot of good competition in the area.
This restaurant is gorgeous! The service, food and experience were all top notch. I love that we visited and will definitely be back!!
It is a convenient spot and the food was OK. They are trying a bit hard to be something they are not or need to up their game. Love the white table clothes but the decor needs some adjusting--and attention to the details. Using a butter server instead of a butter knife for each butter plate??? Curtains that are meant to be flowing and just look like no one has paid attention--then wadded up in the window on Olive? Strange coat situation. The staff was nice.
Ambiance and decor and service were awesome. Food was awful. All style and no substance.
Great food, beautiful and edgy decor, service just ok
Bad food, bad service and in general inattentive staff. Overpriced but good wine selection
Food did not disappoint, but the service definitely lacked from the first time we went.
We went to Circadia for a date night and it did not disappoint. Beautiful dining room, fantastic service and an outstanding meal. We will be back.
Great ambience, decor and hand-crafted drinks that enticed me to pass on wine in favor of a second cocktail. Imaginative menu with ordinary ingredients taken to a whole new level. Whether you've given up bread, going gluten-free or just don't like bread, the pretzel rolls are a must. You won't be disappointed.
It was an early birthday enjoying Dine Around Seattle
Circadia is a beautiful establishment and taking advantage of the Dine out Seattle event made it an affordable way to check it out. If sat at the banquette vs the booths, it makes for awkward seating and conversational comfort (chair much lower than the banquette, can't hear your partner's conversation over adjacent tables' conversation). Staff is very amiable (not rated higher for a reason to come below). The majority of the food was quite good, especially the pretzel buns that come as your table bread. The entrée was problematic, though.
We both ordered the waygu. It was extremely unpleasant. The tasty bone marrow emulsion couldn't help what the chef did to the meat. The "char" was an intentional mix of herbs and ash. Yes, that's right: ash. All you tasted was ash and the consistency in the mouth was the definition of unpalatable. Tried scraping it off the meat but that ash was dug into the meat like a deer tick. Contemplated dipping it in the water glass to get the offensive blackness off but thought that too uncouth to do at a nice restaurant. The knife we were given was not sharp enough to cut it off to at least try to enjoy the inside of the protein that was put to shameful waste. One was left 1/3 eaten, the other was swallowed down completely with much effort.
The staff gets a ding for not asking how the meal was going until after it was clear we were done. Had they done so, we might have been saved from one of the worst pieces of waygu ever (and "worst" and "waygu" should never be said together). We were left wondering who authorized this concoction of herbs and ash. Was it a case of the emperor's new clothes where people were too embarrassed to admit it was a terrible idea? We got $20 knocked off the bill for the unfinished waygu, which was appropriate. The rest of the menu items were very nice - just don't order the waygu. At least we laugh about how bad it was instead of being angry about it.
Wonderful food and equally as wonderful service. Beautiful new restaurant. The dessert left something to be desired.
Friendly and attentive staff. Enjoyed the ambiance and locally sourced food
CIRCADIA blew away all my expectations. Right from the start it was obvious how unique the experience would be: complimentary valet parking, an innovative and adaptable menu, and supremely detailed service. The wine paired beautifully with the food. The hamachi rillettes are an absolute must order-- one of the best first course items I've had anywhere in the city.
At the end of the night, the staff made us feel appreciated and welcomed us back; they are a special group! In summary, we will definitely be back and bring friends as the decor, the cool bar, food, drinks, and service were all phenomenal.
This was our first dining experience here. The staff was very kind and helpful. The occasion for us was more private which the restaurant was unable to provide too well. The food was higher priced ($50.00 each and higher)...though the food amount was adequate, the quality of the preparation could have been better and quicker (meats were cool and time was an hour). Parking was not too bad and again the manager and staff were very friendly.
The food reminded us of a Michelin restaurant in Italy. The value is amazing! Every bite was delicious! Consistency from first course to desert was solid. A Seattle gem! Don't miss this!
Had a wonderful time. Won't be our last visit. Service was awesome
Excellent food, great service and beautiful decor, all with attention to detail.
This is the most beautiful restaurant that I've been to in Seattle or Bellevue. A mustctry! The food was absolutely delicious and our server was great! Even the water glasses were crystal. Not a single detail was over looked. I can't wait to go again.
Amazing food in great atmosphere.
I found a new favorite Seattle restaurant tonight. From the warm greeting at the door (we were 45 minutes early, and they smiled an said "we're happy to get you seated") to the beautiful décor (crushed velvet and crystal chandeliers) to great wine and cocktails, and even better food this place is the real deal. Started at the bar with a round of cocktails (brandy crusta and a crazy old fashioned that was delicious and like nothing I've ever had). Then sat down for dinner and had the best Foie Gras I've had in Seattle (a mousse with burnt almond and tonka bean? oil). Then had the best chicken dish I've ever had (called CIRCADIA chicken, with coconut, fenugreek, burnt cream and black trumpet mushrooms) and a vegetarian mushroom dish that was beyond delicious (if I was being nitpicky I would say it was too mushroomy, but my date said it wasn't fair to complain that a mushroom dish was too mushroomy, and I really did like it). And throughout, our server Lacey was super on it, and very friendly, but never got in our way or even pushed us for anything. I am super excited to go back and try the Chef's tasting menu.
Small portions, big prices. Didn't feel like I got what I paid for. Food was good, but way overpriced.
Unpretentious elegance and an excitingly varied menu.
Fantastic ambience and service. Lovely food that was creative without being pretentious or self-indulgent. A great place for date night, special occasions, pre-theatre, or to entertain important clients.
I was hoping the Circadia would add to the high end dining experience. The menu showed hope. But alas, it just was not up to high end dining that went with its high end prices. The 'salad' was miniscule and tasteless, the beef tartare was ok, the goose liver was ok, the 'cream of mushroom' soup was excellent but the portion was very small, and the souffle was good but not great.
and for a high end restaurant the service was perfunctory.
Went here for our anniversary, and they greeted us with two glasses of sparkling Rosé, which we thought was a nice touch. Little did we know that they would bill us for it!? The service was good, but the food was far less than superior for the cost. The restaurant was empty and there are definite and seemingly obvious improvements that need to be made for this restaurant to charge it’s exorbitant prices and demand the clientele they hope for... let alone survive.
oh. my. word... from the Brandy crusta hand crafted cocktail to the Fois gras, this restaurants is fantastic. The décor reminds me of the Cosmopolitan in Vegas but the staff are all Northwest; friendly, helpful and fun! unbelievable dining experience!
It was amazing. Our server was fantastic, accommodated special requests. The food was superb and the atmosphere was stunning! We loved it!
On Valentine's Day, l wait for my table 48 min on door and no body apologize and didn't offer anything.Really disappointed food was very bad, service was very lazy nobody ask how is my dinner even manager.
The atmosphere was great for a date, I wanted to say that the food was amazing if it wasn't serve a little cold. It seemed that the server forgot to bring our main dish and sat for a while, that when it came to our table it was already cold.
We came for Valentine's Day and heard great reviews about this place. The restaurant is beautiful with about 20 chandeliers hanging all over creating a romantic atmosphere. The food was rich in flavor and the drinks were pretty good too. Expect to have a smaller portion for each choice. We thought the food tasted great but didn't get as much as we expected. Service was excellent and always on top of checking up on us. Great pick for a date night or special occasion.
The wagyu steak was cold 😣 I could only eat half it as it became chewy!
Food was terrific. Service still seems like it is working out the kinks - For a restaurant this nice, would be nice when you walk in to be greeted. We waited for a few minutes while the staff members finished their conversation - was a little awkward. With the bathrooms, the servers should let diners know about the code. I wandered around for a long time before someone could tell I was looking for something and gave me a slip of paper with the code. Seems like it should be easier. When we were checked on, that was fine / nice, but the staff in suits could have done a better job drawing our conversation. All little tiny things, but wanted to let you know - I think you are striving to be a really nice restaurant and the service should reflect that too.
The food was wonderful. Everything else was good, but not what I would expect in a fine dining establishment for the price of the evening. I will start with the restrooms. You have to leave the restaurant and enter a code. This is not fine dining. We had the pre fix and they graciously substituted a dish we didn't want. The service was attentive but sometimes slow and, again, not what I expect in a fine dining establishment. They have only been open for a few months so I expect it to get better and I will try it again in the future.
We celebrated our anniversary and couldn't have been more pleased. Attentive service, great food and drink. A unique and delectable earl gray tea souffle capped the perfect meal. we'll be back.
Finally – a gorgeous and beautifully designed restaurant for urban adults. Creative and delicious food. Attentive service in a stunning setting. A place where you can feel good dressed up!
I really wanted to like Circadia. Beautiful atmosphere, Fun concept on food but not well executed...
