This is a great spot of large parties -- easy to reserve the table and we could all hear each other.
We were seated in the bar section so it was a bit loud, louder than the upstairs dining room. We had multiple waiters, he first was good though v busy, he seemed to be both waiter and bartender. A second waiter seemed to take over. Both waiters brought us a check, the second waiter first. We gave him our credit card and he left with it then when the second waiter arrived it was determined we were given the wrong bill earlier. The first waiter did not believe he took our card & then for a short while it was not able to be found. That was disconcerting. Learned that first waiter charged the check of table behind us to our card. That diner “found” our card. It all took a while to get refunded and frankly was not overwhelmingly convinced by the apology. If we didn’t have notifications from the bank on the charge, and discussed, the diner next to us may not have noticed our card on their billfold. Really it seemed like the restaurant staff was just wait for us to give a new card, not really looking for it, to get us to leave.
The food was amazing, location was perfect and ambience excellent! Couldn’t afford to do often but a special birthday celebration! We did request a window and were not accommodated or request acknowledged.
Everything was fantastic! We sat in a booth by the window had a beautiful view of the city, our service was great and the food was delicious. I would definitely recommend circa and I would love to try again.
Overall, a great experience. I stopped by after the Disney on Ice show with my daughter. Service was very good. Best calamari I think I have ever had. The combination of the awesome sauce, the little fried chili peppers, and the fried green beans were a wonderful complement to the calamari itself. It is pretty spicy so be warned, but I loved it.
The food was excellent! The service was equally good!
We got the window seat, nice view of the street and the surrounding area, but drafty. The waitress took forever for simple requests like lemon, condiments, etc. Fair pricing and quality portion sizes, great taste. Wonderful ambiance and an overall great experience.
Nice place decent food
perfect spot in Chinatown to grab dinner before a game or a show. Great cocktail list. Great food. Great bourbon list as well. The ambiance is really cool but does get a bit loud.
The workers are friendly and patient. The food is good, however, the price is pricey for portion size. You would want to make sure you are either not hungry or eat before eating there as dinner. As well prepare to have enough money to spend at this place.
Great ambience and food is exquisite. The second floor window seating was perfect!
I attended with 7 other women for a Valentine's Day dinner. Shawn our waiter was excellent. He was attentive and timely. He also provided a lot of detailed menu in regards to our questions on the menu. The food was excellent. We ordered lobster ravioli, steak, salmon and fried chicken sandwich. He made great recommendation for our drink order as well.
Two delicious salads; wonderful server; and lovely chocolate chip cookies.
Circa has nice food, nice staff, not outstanding but solid and reliable. I had the barbeque chicken flatbread it was good but the middle pieces were better than the corners, the corners were tough to cut and eat. Friend had the kale with shrimp and that looked good. Servers are pleasant but lack training in the fine points of serving, for instance if someone asks for iced tea with sweetner, then bring a spoon to the table at the same time you bring the tea and packets of sweetner, how else do you stir the sweetner into the tea? Had to ask for the spoon. Just little things like that can make the difference between 4 and 5 stars. I eat here on occasion and usually leave feeling there's unrealized potential....
Gave us a great seat overlooking the mew years parade
Staff was so amazing. we came to celebrate my birthday & another friend's birthday and they made it so wonderful!! Can't thank y'all enough!!!
I went to CIRCA at Chinatown for my birthday dinner and had an amazing time! The food was excellent, and our server, Jaslyn, was attentive, knowledgeable and provided great service! I would definitely dine again and recommend to friends and family!
I took a friend there for the first time and she was very impressed with the menu. The food presentation is always good. I had the salmon with peppers, corn, Spinach and tomato purée, it was perfectly prepared, delicious. She had roasted Brussels sprouts and the fish nachos, she was very happy. It’s a great location and the food has never disappointed me.
Had a minor issue, but server and manager took care of it without having to ask. First time at the Chinatown location and we will be back.
Another great CAPS pre-gaking meal & libations!
Wife and I came here for the first time to have drinks and dinner before a Caps game. Sat at the upstairs bar. Bar staff, to include Katarina were great. Very good cocktails and draft beers. Had lettuce wrapped bulgogi as a starter. I had seared tuna as main course. Really good spinach accompanied it. Nice place and will be our go to place before going to Capital One Arena events.
The Chinatown CIRCA was relatively empty, but the servers were attentive and efficient. Would go back.
Great apps, great meals. An all around 5 star experience.
Very cool ambiance! Food is good but the service we had was average .
Met expectations -- will go back. Service was very good.
The sea scallops were awesome! My daughter had the lobster ravioli and loved it. Monday night 1/2 price bottles of wine...yay! Get the Argentinian Malbec!
CIRCA was fantastic! Went on a Saturday evening and was seated in a table next to the window where we were able to see some of Chinatown!! It was a great view and our server Amber was amazing!! She was super friendly and came around at all the right times! Additionally the food was delicious, the shotgun shrimp and lettuce wraps were a hit! I would definitely come back!
One of my favorite DC restaurants. We were there for brunch. Best French Toast! Was there with group of five, not too noisy, and everyone agreed well worth it.
My husband and I enjoyed our meals thoroughly. We will definitely be back.
It was my first visit there and I was very impressed. The restaurant week menu was extensive with a number of good options.
The general manager stopped by and was very courteous and attentive, as well as the server.
i would definitely return.
I ate dinner at Circa with my husband and my two young kids before a Wizards game. Our waitress was very kind and attentive, but the quality of the food left a little to be desired. My husband and I cook for ourselves often and our palates have become more refined. We ordered the lemon chicken and the fried chicken sandwich and the little ones ordered off the kids menu.
It's a really nice atmosphere and good service, but the food quality wasn't there.
The menu was varied and the food quite good. The ambiance was great and the service attentive. I would definitely return and recommend others.
Went there for dinner with a party of three prior to a Capitals game. Craft cocktails were very good. Shared small plates and a flatbread all of which were very good. Service was attentive and friendly. Would definitely go back.
Great food and very friendly staff who were attentive to your dining needs. Service was timely and the restaurant had wonderful options for Restaurant Week.
Much better than previous visit. It’s still a favorite place. We think they should expand craft cocktails.
We ate here with 5 teens and 2 adults. Every dish was outstanding and the menu had a great variety of food options - everyone was happy. I highly recommend CIRCA for the food. Our waiter started very attentive but seemed to disappear after dinner was delivered. I found this a little surprising as the restaurant was not busy - maybe only 5 tables dining in total. I would presume this is not a common occurrence - would definitely return.
Great service and food. Plan to come back soon. A fun and vibrant restaurant.
Great as always. Service was on point, done of the best in the city. Food was tasty, including one of the seasonal dishes, the soup. Love this spot - our Chinatown fav!
Small plate menu is awesome for sharing.
Service was great. Food was awesome! Definitely has become a new favorite!
