We ordered the Shakshuka and a hazelnut coffee for brunch this past Sunday. While the food looked and tasted good, the service was poor. The server didn’t seem very interested in taking our order and was speaking very softly. Despite of telling him several times that I couldn’t hear him, he didn’t even make an effort to be a bit more loud.
None of the servers greeted us or responded when we said Hi. Overall, our experience was really ok because I have been wanting to go to Cira for a really longtime but came out disappointed with their service. Will likely not visit again.
Amazing food: flavorful and good (though not large) portions. We tried the Muhammara for the appetizer which was perfect! And the mushroom orecchiette and the leg of lamb were both delicious and bursting with spicy flavors. Our cocktails were refreshing and strong, and I specially recommend the Avalon spritz. For dessert we tried the profiteroles which was fluffy and creamy. Most impressed by how fast the entire service was. Will definitely revisit.
Best service at a restaurant I’ve had in months! With many spots struggling to find great staff, Cira is doing something right. Friendly, prompt and attentive - really great!!! Food was tasty and not over-priced. Nice evening!
Ambience is always perfect. The meal was delicious and our server was attentive.
Food was a let down. It was good, but not delicious enough considering the cost and portion size. Service was good. Was a nice experience. Better suited for a cocktail hour than a meal. Probably won’t go back.
Nice ambiance, great service. Food was good, but ravioli portion was tiny. I left hungry even after sharing a dessert. Dessert was just okay.
The food and service were both fantastic, we especially enjoyed the brown butter hummus!
Music too loud and not relaxing, difficult to talk without shouting.
The space is really cool. We went for brunch on a Sunday and they had a DJ and it was packed so it had an energetic vibe. As far as the food, it was alright. We didn't get one of the sides we ordered and I asked for a refill of my drink and never got it, so I definitely wouldn't choose this place for service.
The food is really good. Noise level is a little high.
Wife and I came here for a brunch with our two younger kids. We grabbed a time from open table and when we got there we were immediately taken to our table. The only complaint was I had to ask the manager where our server was after being seated for 10 minutes. She was professional, apologized and a server came within a minute. The rest was perfect. Can’t wait to come back.
Really beautiful restaurant in the lobby of the Hoxton! Loved all the decor. Cocktails were good; food was yummy but not particularly inventive, especially for the price (tiny stuffed dates were $3 each!!). This place is not quite on the level of Cabra (which is right upstairs in the hotel) but still a nice experience.
Celebrated the purchase of my new condo at Cira and it didn’t disappoint! The service was fantastic. We had the dates and olives to start (yum!). The mushroom bolognese was a highlight and my dad enjoyed the trout. I ordered the lamb and thought it was a bit lacking in flavor/salt, but mostly because the peaches weren’t ripe so they didn’t lend the expected flavor to the dish. We split the cookie desert and it was delicious! And our server was kind enough to bring by some celebratory bubbly for the three of us. Shout out to Carl/Karl!

For 5, we ordered everything on the food menu except 3 items we did not want (salad, bowl, lamb). Everything tasted great especially hummus, chicken thigh and ribeye!
Birthday dinner. They took care of us and made it feel special
My husband and I had our anniversary brunch at Cira and enjoyed the experience very much. Everything was wonderful from the food, the staff and the atmosphere. I would definitely go back and with friends!
The food was flavorless, we talked to our waitress maybe twice the whole 2 hours we were there, they sat us by a dj booth and it was so loud and pulsing, we had to ask to switch tables. For the price, the food was incredibly underwhelming. Super disappointing to spend $250+ on a meal that wasn’t even good.
The food was amazing, the ambience was so refreshing. Overall a great experience.
Great drinks ! Lovely atmosphere
Great place to get a drink and an appetizer, never fully dined here because after that I go downstairs to Lazy Bird, which is a great speakeasy!
Great food and service! Really thoughtful for birthdays.
Great place for a nice lunch. Fun decor. Interesting menu. Great service!
Incredible experience overall. The vibe was fun with a very cool aesthetic and great music. The menu is small but everything we got was fantastic.
The food was outstanding. The Mezze Platter in particular was a star— so many excellent flavors that complement each other well. The platter says it serves 2-4, and the two of us devoured it. It was rather loud in the restaurant, but maybe it just seemed that way because I’m used to being home alone for the last year and a half!
Really enjoyed our service
Experience was all around wonderful. Staff was friendly and food was amazing
The floor of the pace was filthy, so we didn’t have the best 1st impression. The service was great and the food did not disappoint. The beet tahini was fresh tasting and the mushroom ragu was a hearty portion. Splittable, for sure, and made a nice doggie-bag.
Nice wine by the glass list. Pretty loud, even at a later lunch time (1:15). We were seated at a nice looking round booth, but the fabric cover was rough and hard to slide to make room for 3. Pricey, not sure I would go back when there are so many choices nearby in Fulton Market.
The vibe was lovely. The food was ok. The service was far below par. The server did not greet me nor introduce himself. He did not recommend anything from the menu. Things were slow. After paying a check, he grabbed the bill while talking to another server, without looking at me, without saying thank you. I didn't expect to be treated like a prince but these lack of basic human manners (greeting and thank you) is disappointing. Unfortunately I felt somewhat ignored which rarely happens to me when dining out. Perhaps it was his bad day? Regardless of the underlying cause of his behaviors (which I won't be taking my time to rationalize), I doubt that I will re-visit this place again.
I went to celebrate my birthday, and was a little disappointed with the experience. The hostess acknowledged my birthday when I checked in (it was on the reservation), but it was never brought up again during the entire meal. The red wine was served chilled, which I found odd? My boyfriend and I ordered 2 different types, so it wasn't brand-specific. I thought the hummus with pita and orecchiette were delicious! It was just an off experience for what I consider a nice restaurant for a special occasion. The waitress wasn't very welcoming and gave us the bill quickly. We saw other tables receive something with birthday candles, so it was disappointing to know they do something to celebrate and we got unlucky. It did put a bit of a damper on the evening. Not sure if I would personally recommend to others for a special occasion.
Birthday celebration for wife. Was fantastic
Comfortable atmosphere, excellent service and quality food.
GREAT experience!!! Events staff were good with ensuring my reservations was exactly what I wanted - I started with party of 9 and then modified to 6. I also asked to be seated in the corner couch area - which was amazing and felt like our own private space. Everyone from seating hostesses (who were so nice and professional - not like some other places) to wait staff were excellent. Service was spot on, even when places was super busy. Food was delicious and ambiance was FANTASTIC! Thank you so much! I will definitely return with friends.
We enjoyed the food, the wine was delicious and approachable priced . We were there for a birthday dinner and the complimentary glasses of procecco - a great surprise! The service was well done overall.
The atmosphere was lively but the music could have been more conducive for conversation during dinner; it was good party music for later in the night I thought.
I plan to return for lunch one day to experience the setting, food and more .
Food is amazing, ambiance is 100. Overall, highly recommend.
The food and service was amazing! Will be visiting again!
Super cool vibes! Light, healthy options and great cocktails
Superlative food. Mezze, Peri Peri chicken and the tiramisu were noteworthy.
Everything was perfect. The Wine and food were all top notch. Made the birthday girls dinner the best birthday she’s ever had.
Had lunch during the week. Great service, ambiance and food. Would recommend highly.
