Cira has a unique menu and it's a lovely space. The Turkish menu items were amazing.
Service was overall very slow. When the food came it was good and flavorful. Had three in our party and two meals came out first. Took almost ten minutes for third meal. Only go if you don't mind a slow meal and waiting a while for coffee.
A really great evening was had by all- great inventive menu, no oversize portions to weigh down the evening, fantastic flavors.!
Very prompt service. Great food. Totally outstanding.
Service was disjointed. No one came to our table for over five minutes upon arrival. Our pastry came approximately 45 seconds before our entrees. Our cocktails and coffee came after our entrees. The restaurant was not busy for brunch so I’m not sure what the problem was.
Amazing food, nice decor, great service, and overall good time! Would definitely recommend to friends and going to go back and try Cabra Rooftop very soon...
Excellent food, will be back for sure!
Beautiful room. Excellent service. Delicious food. Lots more on the menu to try! Will be back.
The food was good and ambiance good, however, felt the food was too over priced for what it was and portions. Seems that it is priced higher due to being part of a hotel versus a stand alone restaurant. I would go recommend friends to go there at least once but not sure if I'd go back.
We had brunch at Cira. The noise level is high, as it is a big space with a lot of people. The wait staff seems a bit scattered - it took a while for the waiter to come to our table. However, he was reasonably helpful once he got there. The food was good, and fairly priced. So, if it were a bit quieter, I would recommend it. As is, it is too loud for me.
We enjoyed our meal at Cira last Friday night. The place is connected to the Lobby of The Hoxton and is very loud and energetic. We had three people and shared a number of dishes, all of which we enjoyed. I think the place is a good value given the food quality and the location you are at in the hottest part of Chicago.
We loved our food at lunch and the decor is stunning, but service was slow.
Awesome place, prices were good for the area. Would recommend to friends!
We ordered several dishes for a party of six. The food was okay, not remarkable. We were disappointed. We had high expectations since it was recently reviewed along with several other Chicago restaurant openings. There were 2 notable dishes that were delicious out of the 8 we were served. The atmosphere is very nice. Unfortunately, we will not return.
Beautiful atmosphere and such lovely dishes. I really liked the wine selection and modern European flavors.
Menu has different combinations, but they are really delicious... the Creme brule is AMAZING!
Dinner with a group of friends who all enjoy great food was a huge success...excellent service and we shared about half the menu. No bad choices...we'll be back.
A wonderful brunch selection, I strongly recommend getting an order of pancakes for the table to supplement each individual’s meal choice.
The service was not good, we were waiting a lot once seated. The food was good but not great.
Outstanding food in a chic ambience. One the best middle eastern restaurants I have ever been to!
I have tried brunch and dinner here. The food is amazing and the staff is wonderful as well. I cannot wait to go back.
French toast was amazing, American breakfast was average and eggs were cold. Service was very slow even though it was not very busy. Seemed understaffed.
Cira was perfect for a date night with friends. Because the menu looked so creative in cuisine, we decided to partake in the Feist of Cira. Our waitress was great in explaining the courses, and the chef's selections were creative and delicious. I would definitely recommend to friends and family looking for a fun and creative dining experience in Chicago.
Superb service. Excellent food
Very accommodating as we arrived a little late but were seated immediately. Greeted by glasses of champagne for our birthday celebration! Attentive servers, good food. Cane out a little fast but we asked them to slow it down. Fun atmosphere in lobby of swanky hotel!
Octopus was incredibly salty and very chewy. Falafel and hummus were the only good dishes out of the 7 we ordered.
Great tastes, great scene, great service!
our server Colleen was attentive and very helpful. I had a special request regarding my diet restrictions and the chef was very accommodating. I selected the octopus as my entree and wanted a double portion and was pleasantly surprised that the surcharge was comp'd. Very nice touch.
Everything was amazing...our server was very sweet and attentive. The food was delicious, the price point was great, and the ambiance was nice as well. The clam & morcilla cocido was SO GOOD! We will be back next time we are in town.
Incredible service! Our server was amazing - provided great recommendations, made sure to check in regularly, and even brought over champagne for our table to celebrate my birthday! The food was also wonderful, great place to share a few dishes. Will definitely be returning.
Truly one of my most memorable meals of late. We came for our anniversary and were completely taken care of. Can’t wait to return!
Cool and trendy. Our popularity rating instantly doubled as we sat down.
Overall was very good. Would go again
Touting itself as a new Mediterranean dining experience, Cira stays accessible for the non-adventurous diner while holding true to the flavors that we all recognize as Mediterranean. Olives, hummus, and other classic dishes dot the small plate portion of the menu - but the chef’s expertise shines through as they are reimagined to match the competitive restaurant culture of the West Loop; the olives are breaded, the hummus infused with brown butter and paired with fresh roti. The same holds true in the selection of house made pastas. Spiced lamb stuffed dumplings coat your entire mouth with rich herbaceous flavor, sticking there with a fresh butter sauce. Though there doesn’t appear to be a connection to the theme of the menu, the cacio pepe is hard to pass up as it is executed with decadent perfection. As with each other on the menu, the pasta is a perfect al dente.
By now you are welcome to be full and satisfied, however, there are still a number of large shareable dishes (calles Land & Sea) that undoubtly satisfy (we were too full by this point) varying from safe - dry aged ribeye - to adventurous - monkfish on the bone, grilled octopus. Finally, there is a hands off, let the chefs decide option that required the entire table to enjoy.
Though I am not a dessert person, the Rhubarb Pavlova was too good to pass up. The goat cheese cheesecake is tangy, not over sweet, letting the fruity rhubarb lead, with the pavlova bring the texture contrast.
The gigantic space that makes up the lobby of the Hoxton Hotel is strategically laid out and it shows; my booth felt connected to the rest of the restaurant while providing necessary privacy to have a passionate conversation. The modern aesthetic is flavored with a touch Bohemia and anchored in a elegance required by West Loop business people undoubtedly using this as their new dinner meeting place.
What can we say? It’s a Boka Restaurant. They work hard to be the best in the city. And they succeed yet again.
Great experience & beautiful space. There were 3 of us with 3 very different dietary restrictions/ allergies, and our waiter navigated them all! He made recommendations & steered us to dishes we could share.. everything was delicious! He even “gifted” us a pasta dish (cacio e pepe) bc it was the only thing on the menu all 3 of us could actually share! It ended up being our favorite dish, simple but so delicious! Awesome experience :)
Loved it! Definitely, will come back.
Great experience. Fantastic service and even better food! So well thought out and tasty, and the space is beautiful. Everyone should go as soon and often as possible.
Host stand was snobby.
I thought Cira was great! I went when they were relatively new, so they may be working out some of the kinds. I found that some of the dishes were cold/room temperature, and my guest and I each ordered salads, which had handfuls of excess parsley and dill (all on the bottom of the salad), which was a little odd. The prices seemed a little high for the amount of food received (which is not something that I ever say about restaurants). The hummus is a must have (but a little heavy on the parsley for garnish), the staff were all really nice and attentive, and the wine list had some great variety!
