Nul ...Pitoyable, piège à touriste..
We were very disappointed. After being seated by a frowning hostess, we had a view out into a dirty alley full of garbage. The wait staff was very nice, but the food was not very good. The pizza was tasteless and the snapper, which was supposed to be fresh, was rubbery and very unpleasant to eat. We will not go back.
This is a basic restaurant and good for families but the food is nothing special.
More salt n spices needed on soup maybe oregano and cumin with garlic. Its more apowaling for latino taste
Food was very good. Our appetizer not got ordered, but we were comped a dessert, although we didn't get to choose it. Then we were refused parking validation.
We are visiting family in San Fran and once again enjoyed fine dining, great food and wonderful service
Great food! Had crab , fettuccine Alfredo, Cioppino, and linguini. All great!
We very much enjoyed our meal . My husband had the Cioppino and I had lasagna. I was disappointed that no red blend wine offered . The lasagna was good but I would have liked additional sauce. My husband enjoyed the Cioppino. The service was excellent and overall the food was good. Price was high but in line with other area restaurants . I would definitely recommend.
Excellence all round
As many have written about, the Cioppino is outstanding!! Honestly, the best I have ever had! The atmosphere was fun and energetic, and the service was excellent! I recommend checking this place out if you are near fisherman's warf and like a good cioppino.
Extremely busy and question outside. If it wasn’t for this app we’d not been seated. Generous portions and all great fresh. Nice time between courses but timing was perfect.
If you want the classic Cioppino fish dish SF style, this is the place. A reservation is a must to skip the long lines of tourists. I am a local Bay Area resident and love this place...even if it is Fisherman's wharf. Actually, that is part of the charm. The bowls are big so split a bowl with a house salad, add a glass of pinot gri, and you are good to go! It's worth the price! Sit outside on a nice day and watch the sea of people walk by.
Excellent food, great service. A tad pricey but this is the San Francisco waterfront so it’t to be expected. Would dine at at again and will recommend to friends visiting the area.
Friendly service, good advice, nice view, tasty pastas.
Delicious seafood with an Italian flair. Also the usual Italian fare. Wonderful service.
This was our first visit to Cioppino's. Service was very good and food was delicious.
The restaurant was excellent from the moment we stepped through the doors, from the staff, to the drinks, food, service, etc. I would recommend the restaurant and will return on my next visit to Vancouver
Great bread. Great house salad. Great harbor view. Great bar. And possibly the best Mahi Mahi I have ever had. Overall thumbs up all around.
Teller wurden einem direkt
This has become a favorite stop for us, whenever we are visiting fisherman’s wharf. There are quite a few different restaurants to choose from, but every time my friends and I have eaten here, we have had great food and great service. It’s what keeps us coming back!
Our group enjoyed our seafood meal. What we were most impressed with was the fact they had the AFL playing on the tv screen on a Saturday night (that’s Australian Football) to the uninitiated.
The food was just ok and our waiter forgot to bring our highchair and condiments. Waiter never came back after we got our food, so we couldn’t get refills. So we waited a long time for the dessert menu, but then figured it would probably take a long time to get our desserts so we just called it a night. Pretty expensive for food that was just mediocre
The food was good, the room was a little noisy for my taste, but it’s a great option if you’re visiting Fisherman’s Wharf.
Great service and food at the wharf!
Our server was great. Answered questions about the menu and was willing to find out what he didn’t know.
The food was really good.
The only negative comment is about the view of the garbage bins out the window. Maybe some nice window coverings are in order.
We stopped in for a quick meal before heading back out of the city. We needed some touristy things from the shops at the Wharf and an easy dinner. My daughter has a gluten and dairy allergy and they were very accommodating. The service was friendly and fast. Our food was pretty good. Thanks for a good meal.
Great food, service and atmosphere. We had a party of 7 and our server, Brian, was awesome !!!!!
We were there for 4 th of July. It was a pretty nice. I was surprise the first glass they brought was vinegar Taste. Same as the second glass. Also they brought a wine glass the was chipped badly. I did mention it to the manager and all he said was sorry. The price was high for sharing a dish and a child meal 1 glass of wine and one glass of beer $100. I guess that is what is expected there.
Great food, friendly staff, perfect evening
Every time we eat at Cioppino's we like everything we eat. Have not tried enough dishes to do a restaurant review, but I will be happy when coming back. It is around the block from the Buena Vista for an Irish Coffee nightcap. A great evening.
It was very good Italian food lunch. Especially seafood fettuccine was amazing.
Excellent service and great food. Staff was so kind to make my daughter's birthday wish of spaghetti with syrup a reality. The shrimp scampi was awesome with about 8-9 larger shrimp.
We sat outside. Got a bit chilly. Server (Alexandro) was great. Kept the 2 year old entertained and visited us frequently. His bus team was also on-point with water and policing dirty dishes.
Chowder in a bowl was fantastic. In-house Bloody Mary has potential, but I feel bartender gave the Worcestershire sauce one too many shakes. It drowned out the taste of the seafood bits.
Aced the calamari in terms of quality and portion size.
House-made Caesar salad was FANTASTIC.
If you find yourself in Monterey, try out Louie Linguine’s. They run a very similar business.
Visited on vacation - went because they had gluten free pasta. It was delicious! The service was a little rushed (other than drinks, took a while), but I guess that is better than being slow! Would recommend and would go back.
Had a great time!
I had hope to enjoy happy hour but was informed that the dining room was not eligible. I had asked for water but didn’t get it. The waiter was pleasant. I might give it another chance someday.
Food was absolutely delicious. Lots of menu options to choose from and great service.
Nice outing. Fun location. Cioppino crab wasn't very good. Tomato flavored not as tasty as most crab places we have been to
