The food was OK, the service was lagging we didn’t get our salad that we ordered until after dinner was served. That was disappointing considering the restaurant was pretty much empty.
Wonderful risoto. Very good wines. Aproved
It was awesome. We were visiting from out of town. The twinkle lights everywhere were pretty. The service was excellent. And the food was superb. It was our first time there and every time we visit SF which is at least once a year we will make sure to visit Cioppino’s!
Very good experience. Food was great. Service was exceptional.
It’s become a family tradition. Anytime we meet up with family or friends in San Francisco we go to Cioppino’s. We met with family for Thanksgiving and so grateful our favorite restaurant available. Thank you for the wonderful food and the amazing customer service considering such a busy day our waitress was very attentive and friendly.
They added an unexpected 4.5% to the bill stating it was to help off-set employer costs. Otherwise everything was fantastic.
Great food and service.
My favorite Restaurant in San Francisco, Chris from Atlanta
The food is good and the menu is very extensive. Great for groups with something on the menu to please everyone .
Great choice of food, good service,
It was a nice place. Crowded, but nice. I had the cheese tortellini and it was the perfect dish!
Food and service ok. Long wait times. Too noisy to have a conversation around our table if 7.
First night in SF and perfect for family dining. The food was great and we were able to share dishes because portions are so large.
Enjoyed the dinner. Had a coupon to eat there but forgot to use it. Loved the Scampi Linguine!
Love the seafood. Great prices.
The Cioppino was terrific. Luis our Waiter made the experience fantastic.
Love coming here I could drink their sangria all day and the roasted garlic crab is seasoned perfectly. Everything we had was delicious. This is definitely in my rotation of restaurants I frequent.
Very nice! We even went back as it was so good!!!
While the food is consistent and hot and served fast, the taste is very average and not exciting at all. Good street food is how I would describe it. For the money I think it is a good spot for tourists with families.
Great food, great experience . Right in the hub of active. Definitely would eat here again
The food was amazing! I had the Cioppino and my husband had the Crab.
Our server was very attentive and pleasant!!
Great for fresh seafood. We ordered the fried calamari appetizer which was great. The mussel appetizer (tomato and ?prosciutto) was fresh but a bit too salty. Highlight was the cioppino. The additional $5 is worth it to have them take the crab meat out of the shell.
This was the last meal of our vacation so we splurged a bit. Food was excellent and our server was fantastic!
Best food at the Wharf. Salmon Caesar and crab Louie are my favorites.
Great service. Foods might not be the best, but pretty good. We ordered Cioppino’s, clam chowder, seafood pizza, and seafood pasta. If the restaurant was located at the Union Square, I would revisit it.
Signature dish was excellent, many reasonably priced dishes. Good service. Enough alcohol in drinks. Not as fancy as some other choices, but that can be a plus.
Came here for my bday after coming here for a friend's birthday 2 weeks prior and thoroughly enjoyed myself. The garlic crab, sangria and good service did not disappoint. Our server Nuno was great!!! Will definitely come back often.
Went there as a big group. The staff was extremely attentive and patient with us as we were really taking time ordering and it was a long meal. My friend said their signature Cioppino was good. Crab fries were pretty good but they might be better off making it smaller as an appetizer instead of a meal, which none of my two friends could make it even half way. Seafood Risotto has plenty of seafood. Risotto was a bit undercooked but still edible. Great value as it is less expensive than the other restaurants in the area, but taste wise, it was just ok. One would think they would validate the parking across the street, but nope, it is the garage a few blocks down. Paid $60 for our share (2 ppl with non-A drinks) but $45 just for parking.
We tried it on a whim and were very much surprised and pleased with the results. We had a table of 10 which they handled easily. The service was great, the food was great, and my only complaint was that it was a little loud. Not terrible, but enough to make conversations a little tricky. I will definitely be going back the next chance I get!
Food was mediocre. Service was not great. Had to ask for water several times. No ambiance at all.
Jazz music was a nice addition but a little too loud. Maître d' was pushier than we like and deliberately vague regarding pricing in his suggestions - trying to sell us a third entree while couching it as an appetizer. Presentation of entrees were not as expected. The restaurant and restrooms were clean and pleasant. Liked that we could be casually dressed and they encouraged disuse of electronic devices.
My favorite place to eat in San Francisco!!! Had a cup of the clam chowder and the Cioppino, of course. Great service, as always!
I always enjoyed whenever we come to dine at Cioppino. Food came fast and it is delicious as expected.
Good food and service. Accommodating for our 3yo granddaughter with an individual kids size pizza.
Came highly recommended. Service was awesome and the location was great. Loved sitting on the street. I just wasn't impressed with the food. Maybe I didn't get the right thing. Probably should have had the cioppino. We had the crab cakes (really great), shrimp/crab cocktail (basic) and bacon wrapped shrimp (too much bacon, something I never thought I'd find myself saying) . I might go back but I also might just try one of the man other italian/seafood type restaurants in Fisherman's Wharf
Good seafood, we take their flagship play, was really good, and we Italians are very critical about food
Great food and our server Mark was attentive, friendly, and checked on us often. We love coming here whenever we’re in town- it’s one of our favorites!
Pre theater at the aquatic park (Eugene O’Neill)
Too touristy...everything was average. Only good thing was it was near the hotel.
