They made our anniversary dinner very special. Our waiter Tommy was very attentive and well versed in the food and drink menus. My Cioppino had just the right amount of spice and the Argentinian Malbec was the perfect accompaniment. My husband had the lamb and risotto. It was creamy, cheesy and probably some of the best either of use ever had.
We were treated to a glass of Processo and ice cream cupcake, which made the evening even more special. We will definitely go back.
Grapefruit/rose cocktail was amazing. Good summer drink. Scallops were great! Dessert sampler not worth it just get one of the better ones !
It was half empty - per Covid rules. Made the atmosphere quiet, not lively. Service was excellent. Food was good. Ordered the scallops with lobster risotto & the sea bass. Tequila with BlackBerry drink was delicious. Went to cigar bar afterwards to have dessert. It
Food was amazing! Service was great! Could not have asked for a better experience. One of my favorite restaurants.
We had a wonderful delicious dinner. Cocktails and wines were great. Drew our waiter was very attentive, knowledgeable and cordial.
To say the food was outstanding does not even begin to do this restaurant justice! I cannot wait to dine there again!!
Great service & amazing food!
We had a fantastic meal accompanied by a great bottle of wine! Restaurant has a great wine menu which we loved! We also went over to the cigar bar afterwards and relaxed with an after dinner drink.
Cool,
But the server was a bit off for the ambiance.
Should have someone better spoken, and more up on they hygiene.
great food and service. drinks were delicious. will definitely be back
Rachel did an outstanding job, but was stretched very thin by being the only regular waitstaff who also had to do all drink orders for her tables since there was no bartender. Also several larger groups came in without reservations. Not her fault, and she was so sweet and positive despite her difficult circumstances We definitely will come back; food was awesome.
Good service, food was ok but in my opinion there are many better options in this price point.
Lovely birthday dinner
It was fine. The server gave us the wrong bill, but she rectified the issue immediately. Food was great.
Great night. Our server was OK. The chef was awesome the evening was very good. Our meals were good. My wife and friend had a vegan menu and they loved it.
Th staff was absolutely lovely, easy to work with and accommodating with an issue I had. The food is amazing, cocktail delicious, and wine list extensive and well priced compared to other Restaurants in the area.
I ordered the oysters they where very good for my main course I had the short ribs. In my opinion they needed to slow cook for a lot longer. My wife had the Chioppino and she thought it good.
This is not the Cioppino’s experience we’ve had in the past. We’ve been faithful guests since 2015 and I don’t believe we’ll be back. The ambiance is no longer fine dining. The food was not very good. Our server did a great job. I’m not sure if it’s new management, new chefs etc. I hope they can get back to the standard they once had.
Wonderful. Great food and everyone is very friendly.
Was an amazing experience for the entire time. Took advantage of their special weekend menu for the past weekend. Was very please with the food, the service and how well I was taken care of.
The cigar bar part was nice and quiet. I liked I could bring my own cigars in and had great service in there too!
We have been eating here for about 3 years or so and every time we go they seem to get better! When we started going here they were outstanding and 3 years later they are outstanding+++! Our server Drew was extremely knowledgeable on the food and wine and Robert the cook even came out to the table to ask how everything was. The food has yet to disappoint (I honestly believe it never will), the wine and whiskey/bourbon selection is second to none, and the service is impeccable! Please for the love of God don't change anything!
My wife and I haven’t been out together, sans kids, since February. Cioppino is our favorite date night/special occasion place to go, so it only seemed right to have a special evening out there. The hostess and waitstaff were incredibly accommodating, sweet and attentive. We felt safe and at ease. Thank you Cioppino!
Amazing service from Drew and great food. Cioppino is always one of my go to places for a special occasion, date, or get together with friends.
A very nice place to have a bite, a few cocktails and a cigar.
Our waiter was so nice and the food was incredible!
The staff was kind enough to open the restaurant slightly early to accommodate my best friend and me. Once there we were treated like ROYALTY! Food wonderful-wine suggestions and selections-wonderful-service-wonderful! An overall amazing experience!
Drew was our server and Carrie was the manager on staff. It was our anniversary dinner and the entire staff made it so special and eventful! The food and service were above and beyond. Love having a special event treated as such. Thank you for making our second only date night this year something extraordinary!
The Tomahawk steak was overpriced and didn’t have enough eatable meat to enjoy it. The oysters were good.
Cioppino is always a big hit. The food is just excellent. Calamari appetizer was cooked to perfection. The scallops small dish was also fantastic. We had the grilled mahi mahi, lamb shank, duck ravioli and the linguini with prawns. Each dish had such a different flavor. We enjoyed all of them. Service is top notch. You cannot miss when visiting this restaurant!
We had a great time at Ciopinno’s lounge. Service and drinks were excellent. The music by the Contenders was great!! The manager Melissa did a wonderful job with the arrangements including wishing me a happy birthday on the menu!!
This is a go too for me. I have a gluten allergy. The kitchen made me special gluten bread to not feel left out. I love anyplace that does that. Appetizers, all of them, and my meal was awesome! I love that after dinner if a band is playing you can extend your night and relax at the bar.
The ownership staff of Cioppino are good people. I could tell they wanted to make it a good experience. Food was OKAY. Everything needed more seasoning. And I think they are a bit overpriced based on the quality.
I know they are bringing back their old chef which would do a world of good of creating a better dining experience. But the service alone is worth going back there.
My husband is interested in going to their cigar lounge as well.
In the past, I really enjoyed Cioppino. The cigar bar was and still is a highlight. However, the new menu seems to have been developed to improve margin and I found the meal underwhelming. The meat and cheese board in particular was disappointing as they removed all the variety from it. The main dish selection really did not excite me - everything seemed either too plain or too exotic. I settled on the gnocchi and it ended up being mostly kale covered in cauliflower cream sauce- very sulfurous and unbalanced in flavor. I did enjoy the steak salad, bread, and drinks.
Despite these changes, its still quite expensive. For what a meal costs here I expect to fully enjoy it, but it was only “OK” at best. I did not feel like I got a good value from my recent visit.
For the ambiance and price point, I expected better in terms of service and food quality. We were celebrating an anniversary and the host called me earlier in the day to see what we were celebrating so they could plan accordingly. When we arrived, we were seated at an extremely small table. The service was fine. Our server could’ve been more friendly and outgoing but he did a fine job. The food was just not up to par. We ordered the grilled squid, oysters, and a half of the ciopinno to start. The squid was overpowerly charred so you could not taste the squid itself. The ciopinno was completely off. It could not be called ciopinno, rather, seafood cooked in broth. The only positive to the ciopinno was that the seafood was cooked well. My husband ordered the ribeye and for $55 it was very disappointing. It was fatty, not marbled plus tough to chew. No one ever brought up our special occasion and we left disappointed with the experience.
This restaurant was not for us. The quality of the food was sad; meat was not seasoned, service was nice but rushed. Charcuterie board was sub-par. They gave a dessert for my husbands birthday, which was nice, but we should have known what we were getting when it was dead on a Friday night. Complimentary valet and scallops were the highlight.
Food lacked flavor and server forgot three different things we ordered. Likely will not return.
Valet parking a big help. Room is quite pretty. Limited options for vegetarians. Dessert sampler was a winner. Main courses good but not great.
Hated the small table
Squid appetizer was very good, but beet salad was undercooked. Cioppino was chock full of seafood, very tasty even if the broth was thinner than expected. Sole meuniere was a perfect classic preparation. Overall a very good dinner.
I think maybe we just ordered menu items that were not their specialty, but my husband and I were underwhelmed. The beef cheeks were tasty but nothing special, and the “duck” ravioli had like maybe 6 small shavings of actual duck on top, though I enjoyed it; just felt a bit misleading.
We got the giant squid and some pink lady oysters as apps, and that was the best part. So again, I think maybe we just didn’t order the right stuff since it was our first time there. But it felt overpriced for what we got, regardless.
The ambiance and service were excellent, so I’d definitely be willing to give it another try.
