Cinque Terre Ristorante
For more large party availability, please call the restaurant.
Cinque Terre is a beautiful area of the Italian Riviera which is comprised of five villages. The towns are connected by medieval style walkable paths. Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore are set on steep rock formations at the water's edge. These villages are a favored destination for travelers to Italy where seafood is prevalent. Pesto, a condiment made of fresh basil, is the flagship of tradition in the region. At Cinque Terre, we make our pesto every day from the freshest and top quality ingredients. We always have on the menu, Muscoli (mussels), Polpo (octopus), Gamberi (shrimp) and a variety of seasonal seafood, artisan pizzas along with house-made pastas. You'll also find an oyster bar that serves raw oysters on the half shell with fresh horseradish and

Consistently excellent food. Have enjoyed Happy hours twice with a very good range of appetizers at discount pricing with good selection of wines as well. Decided to try dinner and was very pleased with the quality of food. Appetizers with prosciutto and balata was delicious with a very high quality meat and cheese and the beet appetizer was also very fine. All four entrees were well presented and perfectly prepared and ranged from pastas to seafood. Don't miss dessert--cannoli and pear tart were worthy of repeat performances next time. The noise level can get a bit high, but you can still carry-on a conversation. With a small party, you can sit at the counter and watch the chefs cook--quite entertaining.
Kitchen is exceptionally slow. Portions are also very large. Food is pretty good though.
Family gathering , food was great but it was too loud to hear the other side of our 8 person table
Food, service, ambiance was outstanding! Definitely a place for a date, special occasion and/or business meeting.
Excellent all around. A step above. All the pastas and the excellent breads are made in house. The Branzino was exquisite. Rigatoni with wild boar was another winner. Tiramisu, the best I’ve had. Extensive wine list, non of the nonsense that we’ve been encountering lately in restaurants that offer ten wines. I’m fluent in Italian. Three Italian brothers run the place, it shows
Great place for a date. The food was fresh and delicious.
Service was lacking in speed and was subpar when it came to checking in with the table.
Great happy hour, definitely worth trying the apps and the Veuve Cliquot. The dining experience left a lot to be desired. Some entrees are better than others. The pizza was okay but they need a wood fired oven. There was no sommelier or wine steward and our waiter was very helpful but not experienced with the wine list. I would only return for the HH.
Kind of blah, blah food,
As this is a great place within walking distance for team lunch, I would suggest you to put some round tables so that it is easier for your customers to chat with each other. Also, you have some private rooms or some dividers between tables to have some level of privacy.
Lovely salad, pleasant ambience and decent prices. Our plans for timing and number of guests shifted and they were pleasant and accommodating.
This was our second time dining at Cinque Terre and it was delicious. The only small problem was the one pasta dish at our table of 6 was nearly raw. We know and expect pasta to be al dente but this one was raw and even a bit crunchy.
We went for a special dinner. The food was ok. Not great. Definitely not worth the price. Prawns on.Pasta were overcooked. Waitress was so pretentious- you could tell she was rolling her eyes after she waited on her tables. The busboy was lovely. The restaurant itself was nice inside. There are so many fabulous restaurants in Seattle. This is not one of them. Don’t bother going.
Great place! I’ll be back. Great food and service. I certainly felt like I was back in Italy!
We had a wonderful time. The food was wonderful and the staff were great. Well he going back!
We've eaten at this restaurant multiple times with a great feeling of pleasure. This time the dishes arrived a bit quickly, so that we felt a bit rushed. Maybe we were especially slow, I don't know. No one does octopus like Cinque Terra, so we'll be back.
I arrived a early and had a seat at the bar. I ordered a bottle of wine while I waited for my partner. The wine list is significant, but I thought a little light on value priced Italian wines. Not a single barbera, for example. I decided on a 2015 San Felice il Gregio Chianti Classico that was $58 (about $20 at Total wine, so a bit steep on the mark-up).
My partner arrived a few minutes later and checked in with the hostess when she arrived. We had about 30 minutes before the reservation so we enjoyed our wine. We were expecting the hostess to come and get us in the bar when the table was ready, but no. My partner eventually walked back up front and inquired. The hostess was "ready when we were". So, we collected our glasses and bottle of wine (no offer of assistance) and headed back to the hostess station. Not a great start from a service perspective.
Fortunately, things improved from this point. Our server was very good. We started with excellent Sigoku oysters. Tasted amazingly fresh and briney. Next was grilled octopus - spectacular. Whole-leaf Caesar salad was also excellent. We finished by sharing a crab spaghetti. Subtle flavors that grew on my with a few bites. Overall a great meal. We would return as there were other interesting dishes on the menu to try.
gluten-free pasta was AMAZING!!!!!!!!! I heard it was good here, and it is worth ordering!
The only problem I had was that the restaurant was dark and reading the menu was difficult.
party of 5, each of us LOVED our unique meal... delicious
Great food, big portions, and the happy hour menu was such a good deal!
This was my first time here and I had made a reservation for my boyfriend’s birthday. Everything was great, however, the server forgot to bring out the birthday dessert which was very disappointing because I had wanted it to be a surprise.
Great service, great food. Music was a bit loud, but great experience overall.
I would not go back. Our waiter brought our drinks and got them backwards (gave me my wife’s drink). We ordered a half dozen oysters. He just put in the order and didn’t ask us if we wanted a mix of the two special oysters or one or the other. My fish was supposed to be deboned but they left the boney structures around the gills. These are not small bones. They are big ½ moon pieces. The spinach was very acidic and cooked in vinegar. Both my wife and I found it inedible. Not worth the $200 we spent or even ½ that.
I’m really curious if this is how the chef de cuisine expected the food to be prepped.
...fabulous! we enjoyed everything! I liked that their cream soup wasn't loaded with cream. They got the flavor, but not with excess fat. Very thoughtful in everything. Highly recommend!
We came here for our 5th-year anniversary on a brisk November night - I mentioned in the note that we would be celebrating the above. I arrived before my significant other to a table with menus that read "Happy 5th Year Anniversary" at the top and table away from the others so that we could enjoy each other's company. In addition, we were greeted by Carrie, our waitress; she was outstanding. I would go back just for her service! Then the food! OH, THE FOOD! Everything was delicious and timely. I ordered the Steak and she had the Salmon. Both were so fresh and well prepared. We dabbled with desert too; for me the cannoli, and for her (both of us) the tiramisu. Both to die for!
All in all, these guys did an outstanding job and they know how to make a special night even better. Thanks a ton!
Food was very good, but the service was sub-par! The wait staff were pushy and impatient.
When we told our server we were there to try out the restaurant for Seattle Restaurant Week, he seemed to lose all interest in serving us. He rushed us through the three courses in about 45 minutes.
The menu places an emphasis on being fresh and local, but our entrees seemed like they were precooked and re-warmed, not fresh. The salmon saltimbuca was hard and dry. The tiramisu was pretty good though.
I really feel like the experience could have been improved if we had a different server. I don’t need a server to be obsequious. Just don’t act like you’re disgusted to be serving us. We had high expectations for this place and we really wanted to like it, which is too bad because with so many excellent dining establishments in town we are unlikely to go back
Good clean food, great service, comfy booth. Perfect for a special occasion.
Next time we go, we will ask to be seated in the alcove where it should be quieter. We enjoyed our meals. The salmon could have cooked less. It was very tasty but a bit dry to our taste. The steak was perfect.
No one loved their food- everyone thought it was just ok.
Had a great meal!
Our meal was wonderful and the server was attentive.
Got one order wrong. The Steak that was brought back to replace wrong order was raw, cold, & mostly grizzle. The rest of our meal was good. We know things happen. Our server was very pleasant.
We went during the Seattle restaurant week. We picked Wagyu. It was served with POWDERED mash potatoes. That's not how you serve Wagyu even if it is a cross breed. It was a low grade wagyu so basically prime /prime plus steak with wagu dna.
Anyways, it was drenched in sauce and put on top of powdered instant mash potatoes.
When I asked her questions about the grade, she said she will be back and never came back.
I buy Olive A5 Wagu and A4/A5 Wagu from Japan often so I know...
Dear guest, we are very surprised and saddened to read your review. As we appreciate your patronage, we object to several statements you've made. Our mashed potatoes are NOT powder, that's actually a compliment because we are able to ULTRA-STRAIN it so well that they appeared to you to be powder. Our menu clearly states that the meat is Snake River Farms wagyu sirloin. This is a northwest family owned operation with many employees that put a lot of VERY HARD work. They are offended, simply
Very hip restaurant. loved the look and the food was fantastic.
The food and atmosphere was great. Though the booths in the corner (where we were seated) were very close to each other. The service could use some improvement though. Our food took over an hour to come out, while other tables that arrived after us got their food much faster, and the waiter did not come to check in the entire time we were waiting, to the point where I had to go seek him out to ask what the status was. Overall, a pretty good place, but could use a few improvements.
Our first dining experience at Cinque Terre was great. Our server, Darco, was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and wines. Our pasta dish was perfect and the pizza was wonderful as well. We'll be back soon.
