Cinnamon - Ranelagh
First time to Cinnamon and loved it! Very friendly and efficient service, fab food, great choice and excellent value. Will definitely return!
Really enjoyed food and atmosphere. Highly recommend it to anyone.
A lovely chilled venue for a midweek work dinner would highly recommend. Friendly staff, nice wine and delicious fish dishes. We had a very enjoyable evening!
It was a quite Tuesday nite so only a handful in the restaurant, food was excellent !
All excellent. Only 3 tables occupied so no ambience. Staff were lovely.
Food was excellent and staff very nice. Lovely restaurant with relaxed vibe. Excellent location right in the heart of Ranelagh.
We were given a lovely window seat. The back of the restaurant looked pretty dark.
Mushrooms on sourdough toast is really divine! Nice interior and ambience
This was my second trip to Cinnamon and it did not disappoint. The staff are always very friendly, the food is delicious and unique + good value for money. Thank you!
We have dined in this restaurant a lot recently so obviously we think it’s pretty good, however Sunday did not live up to the standards of Saturday evenings. Some regular dishes tasted different, so I wonder if the chef on Sundays puts his/her own style on things. Good variety on the menu and server very helpful. We will be back but will give it a break for awhile.
Excellent mushroom on sourdough starter. Nice large succulent burger. Very friendly staff
Went we for a family meal , two kids ate for free with the adult meals and we had a two course early bird. Lovely quality food for us and the kids, great service and a relaxed atmosphere. Perfect for an early Sunday dinner.
We asked for table beside window and we were so sorry we did. It was freezing. I had to wear my coat for the entire meal and couldn’t relax because of the cold. Goats cheese salad starter was lovely. Chicken curry unremarkable. Other dishes were enjoyed by my companions- burger, pasta, fish.
Cinnamon is one of my fave places to eat in Dublin. I used to eat here quite a bit. However in the last few months I was recently diagnosed as Coeliac and this was my first time eating here since then. I was v disappointed with the knowledge about my GF options. The menu didn’t indicate any allergens on it so you are at the mercy of the staff. She was as helpful as she could be and did check with the chef but it made it v awkward for me and her uncertainly made me wary. Unfortunately I’d have to think twice about eating here again as a result.
Great food, great service and the interior was great. Lots of interesting design choices. There were a couple of unruly kids there while we were and the decibels got a bit too much but would genuinely recommend cinnamon as it was probably just an unlucky coincidence.
great service and value...above average fayre. The early bird menu is particular good value.
Slow and inattentive service. Enjoyed the starters but found the range of main courses uninspiring.
Waiter wasn't great at all, he forgot one of the starters, was very slow bringing drinks down.
Service was awful - had to flag someone down anytime we wanted drinks or to actually order food. Water was dropped off and never refilled. Never got a second round of drinks. Food was ok, nothing fantastic and chicken tasted like it had been freezer burned and then cooked. Dessert tasted spoiled and inedible - one was removed from the bill. The staff was too busy doing end-of-shift prep to actually wait on customers.
Lovely food ! Great menu
Just wish they could get the lighting right as it’s very very bright in the evening and makes for a better atmosphere if lighting were not so full on!
Really great food though.
Service was absolutely fantastic- v accommodating and just pleasant in general!
Altogether good - food, service, decor, atmosphere and price
Food disappointing. A prawn cocktail in glass served minus serving plate, appropriate cutlery & brown bread. 2 sizzling prawn dishes lacked sizzle, had 6 vine tomatoes included with a tikka type sauce - weird.Mains of hake, chicken special & burger all served with lukewarm potatoes / chips and presentation plates of hake & chicken totally overcrowded with diced tomatoes & more. Off putting.
Our reservation was for 8.30pm and shortly afterwards a family group with 3 under 5’s were seated next to us . When the inevitable screaming & weeping occurred, I wondered why that party had not been seated elsewhere in the by now almost empty restaurant.
The initial service was very good & a little wine tasting facilitated.
wide ranging menu options and generous portions. presentation spot on and staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely come back again :)
Lovely restaurant. Food was good. Service was terrible.
I went with my family to Cinnamon restaurant in Ranelagh for my birthday. The food was delicious great menu and some good options if you are ceoeliac. The service couldn't have been better and each member of staff was friendly and efficient. This was my first time to visit I will certainly go back.
Food was nice, service was very slow nearly an hour before we were feed and no bread to the us over.
We went for bottomless prosecco dinner on Tuesday evening. The staff were outstanding, the food was delicious! Can't wait to go back.
Great with kids!
Very disappointed with everything ;service was very slow food was tasteless we had one guest that was gluten free ordered 3 starters before she could get one that had no wheat in it even though the said gluten free on menu ordered burger which cane between 2 slice of bread and burnt and tasteless ;asked for bill 3 times and when it cam they had added 2 table together waited another 15 mins and then they has added 20% service change to hole bill including drinks 👎
Top, last minute decision.
We had a very pleasent experience for dinner and will be back again.
Food was fantastic and the staff were superb despite being very stretched due to how busy it was. Only negative I would give is that this is the second time I have been and both times they were missing a number of things from the menu, not reliable from this point of view!!
This restaurant is one of the best in Ranelagh.
Family environment and great decoration.
Service started slow so first impression was weak - this was as we entered - but it was good when we were at the table. Food was very good and was brought to us in a reasonable time. Overall the decor and look and service are very good and the food was excellent.
Found our meal very disappointing, as we have been regulars of the Ranelagh Branch. We were booked for an 8p.m, which obviously did not particularly suit the the staff on the night. There was no atmosphere, quality of food was poor, I ordered Chicken Korma, the chicken very tough and rubbery, my colleague found the scallops poor also. By 9.30pm it was obvious we were the last people sitting and in the way, only offered teas/coffee.s after our mains, so we felt we had no option to pay and go next door for a drink. Very disappointing, won't be back.
The burgers were so overdone, they were black and gray. Sizzling shrimp starter was lukewarm. Pasta with shrimp and a tomato fennel sauce had red chili in it. No mention of chili on the menu and overpowered the taste of the sauce and shrimp. Sticky toffee pudding was stodgy, dry and just not very good. Was left basically uneaten and staff never asked if anything was wrong with it. While it was New Year's Day and they may have been short staffed which is why we had to wave a member of staff down when we wanted something. On the plus side, goats cheese salad was good, chicken wings, and Moroccan vegetarian tagine.
Excellent choice on menu.Place was really busy with a real good atmosphere.Staff very helpful and friendly. First time to have dinner here had been there for brunch one Sunday morning.Worth the visit and would go back again
We were very happy with the whole experience for our Christmas party
Had a lovely evening in Cinnamon with friends, food was very good & reasonably priced & staff very nice too. I had prawn starter & hake on a bed of mash for main course, both very tasty & good size portions.
