Cinema Bar 1950, Old San Juan is the only place in Puerto Rico where you can be served your typical puertorrican dishes, surrounded by this beautiful Island’s artistic history from the 1950’s and of all times; and at the same time enjoy excellent local, as well as international, films. Experience the variety of local flavors in a delightful scene in one of the most historically rich spots in the capital of the city, Cuartel de Ballajá. Facing the spectacular view of the Castillo San Felipe del Morro, among other prominent monuments of this wonderful metropolis.

Tourist trap. Entree portions small, especially seafood salads. Tostones were tasteless and hard Probably frozen. Food was mediocre. We were seated inside but on a walkway to a building in the rear. People kept walking thru They online description is deceptive. Drinks were water down

Greeter was uninterested in seating us despite having a reservation. When I finally got her attention (when she returned to the abandoned front desk, and managed eye contact) she said we'd have to wait 20 minutes. What's the point of the reservation? This restaurant either needs to provide better customer service training or hire additional help for the staff.

The fish of unknown origin was only ok. I can’t eat garlic and I had to have a salad w oil and vinegar. My boyfriend had skirt steak and sweet plantains. The were very good. The interior was eclectic and fun. Most people ate outside on the sidewalk with a view of the El Morrow Fort.

We absolutely loved Carli’s. The atmosphere was very Old San Juan. The service was excellent. The food was very good. Actually, one of the best we had on our trip. Carli and his Jazz trio played which added to the atmosphere and enjoyment. I would definitely go back again.

Excellent food and interesting decor. Ate here on vacation on a Sunday night, which may be reason it was almost empty? Drinks were very good too.
