Cindy's Backstreet Kitchen Ratings and Reviews
I was so excited to check this place out with my husband! The space is beautiful, and the service was great but the food was just ok. My entree the fish and chips, was so soggy that I was only able to eat a couple bites. The restaurant was pretty busy and by the time a server came back to check on us, my husband was almost finished with his meal and didn't know if it was worth saying anything at that point. I had such high hopes for this place but unfortunately left a little disappointed.
I had to ask for a menu to start. waiter was not knowledgeable of menu. The ceasar salad was loaded with way too much dressing. Dressing tasted bland. We ordered the dinner scallops. The puree of potatoes was dry. The califower was not cooked at all. The scallops were tasteless. It was like lukewarm. The vegetables of the evening we're dry. Oh sooooo dry and tuff. Chewy. Then after dinner waiter brought a candle on plate. My sister birthday. Nothing with the candle!! We were sooooo disappointed in the food.
My husband and I along with another couple truly enjoyed Cindy’s. I had the haddock special which was very nicely prepared and juicy. My friend got the meatloaf which was a surprise but Alison extremely great. She took home the lemon mousse dessert and it was heavenly. We have been to the restaurant before and it did not disappoint!
Dined out at Cindy's after a late late much at farmstead. Both my husband and I were relatively still full and looking for a lighter fare. No appetizers. My husband ordered lamb I ordered chicken. Both were delicious. I requested desert to go lemon buttermilk cake. When we got back to the inn. I ate my dessert. Nummy. The best dessert during our trip!
I love Cindy's and have for years! Great staff and drinks and interesting food choices. I must say this is the first time I have been disappointed. We took guests from out of the valley. The fish smelled fishy and wasn't fresh. The duck was dry. The tacos and burger were wonderful. The side of green beens was overcooked. I'm just hoping it was a bad day, we'll give it another shot.
Brought my sister here for lunch after having eaten here three years ago while on vacation. Loved it so much I wanted her to experience the exceptional food and service. It is definitely out of our normal price range for lunch, but we wanted to treat ourselves while in the Napa Valley. The leg of lamb special was divine, as was the dessert (double chocolate creme brulee for me, lemon souffle for my sister). A very special culinary memory for us both.
First time at this restaurant and I definitely will be back! The food was terrific, the tomato salad and oysters for our starters was worth it alone but I had the adult grilled cheese and side salad which was indulgent and delicious. Service was very good our server was very friendly and knowledgeable. Parking is a bit challenging but there are spots if you don't mind walking a little.
WOW!!!! We love Mustard's Grill and couldn't wait to try Cindy's Backstreet Kitchen. We were absolutely thrilled at how terrific the food and service were at CBK. We will definitely return. We both had the burgers and the stuffed peppers. It was hands down the best burger ever and the fries were wonderfully hot and crispy. I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant!
A very nice meal at one of Cindy's lesser known locations. Understated menu and decor. Very solid food. This was our third visit. We will keep going back. The fish dishes are so fresh and flavorful!! Every course we had was solid. Not among the most pretentious of Napa venues but the Backstreet will deliver well balanced and deftly seasoned dishes that are perfect at end of day enjoying the treasures of the Napa Valley.
