Brewery
Located in Lower Lawrenceville, Cinderlands Beer Company is a craft brewery and scratch kitchen. In a self-made city like Pittsburgh, rebirth happens through every citizen's decision to start something new, and pursue progress right here at home. At Cinderlands, we make beer and food that reflects the diversity of our community - both contemporary and familiar, high quality and inventive, serious and fun. We capture the evolving spirit of the IPA even as we hearken back to the lagers and ales that took the world by storm. And we invite you in to share in the warmth of that fervor. We're thrilled to be part of a generation of small breweries and independent restaurants with their finger on the pulse of what makes Pittsburgh one of the grittiest, hardest-working, and yet still-shining cities in our country. With our small contribution through the making of beer and food, we believe our cinder-dusted town's brightest days, and best beers, still lie ahead.

This was fantastic. We are currently working through a list of sustainable restaurants in Pittsburgh and we have both delicious food and drink here. The spent grain chicharrones are not to be missed.

The beer here is great. I got to eat the delicious spicy chicken sandwich and definitely do not regret it. I'm excited to come back next time I'm in town!

Fun atmosphere, not congested. There were board games in the loft area to occupy ourselves with while the food was getting ready. Interesting menu layout. The main big dishes were sandwiches but you could definitely get full by splitting all the For The Table food options. Not loud, we had a screeching baby so we were probably the main source of the noise haha!! Fries were good but a little bit the salty side. Same with the falafel. The chicken and donuts are definitely the largest portion on the For The Table list. Would recommend. Overall, a good time.

Great food, mine was a little cold hence the 4 stars but the Scottish Egg was delicious and the biscuits and gravy tasty. Service was exceptional this time around. Consistently my favorite brunch spot.

Booth was too cramped for 4 people. Service was slow and disjointed. Too many people coming and going to our table and they never smiled. They were way too matter of fact. Tried to joke with them to get them to smile. No luck. Food was just average. It was our first time there so it was disappointing.

Waitstaff were friendly, but slow. Food was great except fries were saturated with salt... not inedible, but sure drank a lot with meal. Food came out fairly slow too, but staff apologized and took drinks off the bill to compensate which was nice. Overall atmosphere was fun and enjoyable, but probably go somewhere else next time in Lawrenceville

It's mainly a brew pub, so one doesn't expect much in the way of food, but is instead there for the beer. True though that may be, it's not unreasonable to expect edible food. Nothing of the kind available here. I ordered what seemed a safe choice, a burger and fries, because what else would one get at a brew pub? First sign of trouble: it is not possible to specify the extent of cooking, rare, medium, etc. The plate came. Second sign of trouble: the fries were completely inedible rubbish potato strips fried in what must be months-old oil, utterly repulsive. Third sign: the burger was similar inedible. A double thin patty, greasy as hell, stacked inside a crap bun. I tried separating out the burger and eating it with knife and fork. Forget about it, completely garbage. The waitress came to collect my leftovers (almost all of it) and didn't even ask whether it was acceptable, the answer being entirely self-evident. My companion had a lamd concoction that looked even worse than my burger, but I didn't try it. The beer, a saison in my case, was acceptable. Nothing else is even close.

Roommate reunion - food was excellent! A friend had told me to request my seating in the front room, but no one mentioned those booths are really for 2 people and not 4 so we were a little cramped! But everything was really great!!

Normally our service is outstanding but this waitress seemed very out of it and was unfamiliar with the menu and couldn't keep our simple coffee orders straight. Otherwise food was great though my boyfriend preferred when the potatoes were not whole.

Food & cocktails were amazing. Despite having a reservation, we had to wait 30 min for our table to be ready. The bar area is tight, so waiting/standing room isn't the most comfortable and/or conducive to waiting around for a table. With that being said, the food was so good that we will be back. Loved the energetic playlist.

Crab toasted cheese was great. The service is spotty and they should explain the beer selection. There didn’t seem to be any coordination to the staff jobs. I’ll go back for the beer and food. Hamburger was excellent

Beer & food is always on point! The only recommendation I have is to make sure you make a reservation ahead of time or else plan to wait because this place is always busy. Nice atmosphere for a date or friend get together but is more of a place to dine and have a drink than to just have a drink. The bar area is quite small but there are plenty of tables to dine in. All in all, a wonderful place that keeps me coming back for more!

The food was good, but nothing was exceptional. The sauces on everything was great, but they could definitely tweak things to make them a bit better. For example, the sweet potato tempura and sauces were great, but I thought the sweet potato was a bit undercooked. Similarly, the hummus and cucmber salad was great but the falafels lacked texture and were a bit bland. The venue is cool, and I would recommend for a drink and maybe some apps.
