Rittenhouse cider/sour bar and artisanal pizza kitchen features ciders and wild ales on the 32 taps and 70+ bottles.

Pizzas, mussels, salads and small plates in the open kitchen focusing on local ingredients. Creative and classical toppings that are prepared in a custom-built wood-fired pizza oven. Beer is poured from our full custom design system housed in copper pipes.

I was very disappointed with the service at Cinder. We went to this restaurant for my best friends birthday and the experience we had was extremely disappointing. Not one of our courses came out at the same time so we were all eating at different times. The server was also very rude. And I called ahead of time to tell them to put a candle on her dessert and they did not do that either. Very disappointing.

Stopped in for Restaurant Week and were not disappointed. The menu had four courses and they were all regular full size portions of items on their usual dinner menu. We tried to hush puppies, brussel sprouts (AMAZING), cheese, mussels (HUGE portion), scallops, pizza, and desserts. Will definitely be back for those brussels and make sure to pass along the good word.

My sister and I went for restaurant week and most of the dishes we ordered were VERY salty. The taste was fine, unfortunately the salt was over-powering. We both needed to chug a lot of water later that night!

Although I went there for restaurant week, which is my own mistake, it left a lot to be desired. First course was good, fries and brussels. Charcuterie, I would pass on, cheese was good. Pizzas were bland. We got the sausage, truffle mushroom, and brussel/potato. Sauce on the sausage tasted like it was straight from a can, truffle was barely there and tasted like an alfredo sauce pizza with lackluster mushrooms, brussel and potato was fine but let's be serious bacon makes anything good. Desserts, at least on the restaurant week menu, were probably the worst part. All in all, it was fine, but didn't make me want to go running back.

Cool atmosphere, went with girlfriends and plates were good to share! Prices were reasonable. It was tasty and a bit salty. Music didn't match the place.

We went for restaurant week and it was better than I expected for a bar. The drinks, food and service were all great. The portions were more than enough for the cost and there was lots of variety. It was a very good night.

We went for dinner before a friends surprise party and the waitress was very polite and understanding of the situation. The mussels were phenomenal and the cider and beer list were also very good. I will be returning to cider very soon!

Pizzas are amazing, service is good. Biggest complaint is that it seems to be getting louder every time we get there.

*i love the drink selection there but my partner, who is a bit more traditional, sometimes scoffs at the beer/cider list. That being said he always ends up loving everything he tries.

Flights are a great choice!

Place was totally empty at noon on a Friday in December. 5 of us dined. Food came out very staggered, which was not pleasant. Some waited way too long to receive their meal. Food was good when it finally came out. Love sours, so I’m happy this place exists.

The atmosphere is great! Beautiful wooden tables, steal beams, interesting lighting, open kitchen, mosaic bar! Very clean but exciting look. The food was also delicious. Went for brunch and got the waffle. It was crispy and absolutely delicious. Fiance got the breakfast pizza - ratio of toppings was great and I loved the pizza sauce. Their beer and cider list is unique in offering local and hard to find beers and cider. My only complaint would be the timing and pacing of food. My entree came out a solid 5 minutes before my fiances - I didn't want to be done before him, but I also didnt want mine to get cold. Likewise, I noticed the people next to us also got their food at all different times and seemed to also grapple with the dilemma. Overall though, I would definitely recommend and will absolutely be going back to try the rest of the menu!

Cinder has an amazing beer selection, but the prices are outrageous! $ 8-24 for a beer is just nuts. And the food was bland, pizza was expensive and had almost no flavor. But the worst part was the noise level, I walked out with a headache. I definitely won’t be coming here again.

Flights of beer and cider were great. Wide variety and a decent price. Device was a little distracted even though the place was not full at 7pm on a Saturday night. Pizza was warm, not bubbly hot, when it was placed on the table. Crust was thinking but chewy, not crisp, as one might expect for a thinner crust-style.

Cinder's brunch was amazing! The food was so good. I highly recommend the Cinder omelette, Margarita pizza and pepper vodka Bloody Mary. The atmosphere is very laid back and nice and the service was great. You cannot go wrong with Cinder.

The gastropub didn’t meet expectations based on other reviews. The atmosphere was so so. The mussels in cider were good, but not great, although definitely better than the mussels with chorizo. The margherita pizza was ok, but needed a bit more seasoning and should have been baked a little longer. Overall, not the great Pizza and tapas we were expected. Service was ok, not extremely professional.

The food and drinks were very good and rather cheap for being in the area it is. Unfortunately, it was so loud that we were not able to have any conversation. If something needed to be said it had to be yelled which just increased the noise level.

Would definitely recommend Cinder and will return. Entire wait staff was friendly and helpful. Menu had a good variety, prices were reasonable, and had good portions. We had mussels and pizza. All good. I’m not a beer or cider connoisseur but apparently they are known for their ciders. Our son had a flight and we all enjoyed trying the variety. Give it a try!

Everything was good! No complaints. Will definitely go back. Would be even more awesome if they offered flights of the beer/cider. Since they are uncommon types and styles, would be great to sample several.

This was my second time at Cinder, and ... so far, so good! The pizzas are very good, with a tasty crust and quality ingredients. The house-pickled, breaded and fried jalapeno poppers are pretty outstanding!

The only detractor for my group was the noise level - it is quite energetic in the dining room during prime hours, and it can be very difficult to hear people sitting across from you.
