South American
The Four Seasons St Louis is partnering with James Beard Award winning Chef Gerard Craft to bring you Cinder House. The menu centers around the kitchen's wood-burning hearth. Located on the iconic 8th floor of Four Seasons Hotel St. Louis, Cinder House showcases sweeping views of the Gateway Arch and downtown skyline.

“Some foods taste so much more complex when cooked on a wood fire,” Craft says. “Grilling is a universal technique so the menu reflects many different cultures but the food will be heavily influenced by the grilling mecca of South America.”

Craft’s focus on simple foods with bold flavors is highlighted throughout the menu and includes several steak selections and rotating grilled items. From grilled pickles to grilled lamb ribs in soy, lime and garlic with a mango-honey glaze, dishes feature enticing techniques and flavors.

Dine indoors with warm wood and stone interiors or venture out onto the new outdoor lounge and upbeat bar area.

Great views of the Miss River and Arch. Lovely setting. Grove/Aaron was really helpful and attentive. We lingered over a long meal and never felt rushed. Would recommend the rib eye, risotto, cheese bread, puréed potatoes, and ice cream churro sandwiches. Drinks were very well executed!!Really had a great time.

Outstanding dinner services ordered Dias Bread starter followed with Little Gem Salad. Server automatically split the salad onto 2 mini plates as I was celebrating my girlfriends birthday. Ordered Lamb Rack and Seafood Stew, both of which were phenomenal. Stew was creamy and rich, but not heavy. Plenty of seafood within. Lamb was cooked perfectly medium rare and came with mole, chimichurri, and hollandaise sauce. Night finished with a birthday surprise flan! Definitely would recommend.

The Mother’s Day brunch buffet was a relatively ordinary brunch and in my opinion, not worth $95. The food was wasn’t exceptional, though this may be common for buffet type events.

The desserts, however, were impeccable, and the view, service, decor, and ambiance was lovely! I do intend on coming back for dinner and giving it a try again.

We went for Mother's Day Brunch ; it was pack !! the food was ok ; not impress for the price per person. I was expecting different type of food . I went before for brunch and they had a better selection of food and desserts than the one in Mother's Day. Overall is a good restaurant.

That Mother's Day brunch would have been embarrassing for a Holiday Inn Express. If you wanted any sort of egg- be prepared to wait 20 minutes for the 2 guys making omelets. No scrambled eggs or god forbid poached eggs Benedict. Hard mini pancakes that looked and tasted like they were cooked the day before. Your choices were: a huge platter of grocery style style cubed cheese and a little shaved meat, a minuscule selection of traditional breakfast food (pancakes, the thinnest cut bacon I have ever seen, sausage, no eggs as I mentioned, and bland cubed potatoes). They had abundant shrimp, oysters and ceviche cups which were good, and a carving station where you could get average cuts of chicken or prime rib. After dropping over $200 for two I actually stopped and got drive thru on the way home because I realized I was still hungry. This is the first bad review I have ever written in my life, but I think management at the Four Seasons needs to know how disastrous that food was.
The hostess was absolutely wonderful and our server was polite and attentive.

Lovely restaurant at the top of the four seasons. Valet parking was the easiest option, but they validate it for you at the hostess station.

An excellent family spot for a Sunday brunch!

A few of my girlfriends and I dined at Cinder House for a casual get together and absolutely loved the entire experience. The hostess staff were friendly and accommodating as I waited for my friends to arrive, even though we had a reservation. We spent quite awhile catching up before ordering and never felt rushed by our server, who was attentive but gave us our space. Our food was excellent and the ambience couldn’t have been better. The rooftop view of downtown St Louis, the live music, the food and excellent service made for a truly wonderful experience. It’s a very chic place but also warm and welcoming. We all raved about how much we enjoyed it and will definitely be back.

Somehow Cinder House remains a secret for lunch downtown. It's the best food around and the new menu is amazing. As it warms up the outside seating will be unbeatable as the views are second to none. Free parking is another nice perk.

Our service was awful. We were not asked if we wanted a drink when we were on outside patio. At dinner our waitress was rude and did not even fill up our waters. I spent over $300 on food and drinks. My wife and I were there to celebrate her 30th birthday. Very bad service

Cinder House is a great resturant and we will definitely go back. Our server Amber was very attentive and timely. My Wife and I both enjoyed a signature cocktail with our Prawns starter. After that we enjoyed our entrees, Lamp Chops for the Wife and I had the Feijoada, both cooked to perfection. To finish the meal we were presented with a beautiful desert masterpiece (see picture). If you're in St. Louis that would not be choice if you decide to go.

Easter brunch. Food was good but not great. Service was pretty slow considering it was a buffet and we helped ourselves. The price was beyond outrageous for the quality and quantity of food and the service was weak. There are far better options in St Louis for brunch than Cinder House.

Cinder House was good, but perhaps my expectations were set a bit too high based on my experiences eating in other South American restaurants (in the US and Argentina). The food was good, though the menu was not particularly interesting or inspiring. Everyone at my table ordered the sirloin, which was tender, cooked to our request and a generous cut. However, we all thought the steaks were not hot enough when served. I sent mine back and the waiter (and manager) were very attentive about this; they didn't charge us for my meal. The side dishes were good-- especially the frites and polenta --and nice size portions, but again, some had cooled down by the time they got to our table. It's located in the Four Seasons, a beautiful hotel. It's not exactly a cozy or intimate space, perhaps because it's doing double duty as the hotel's primary restaurant serving guests and those who came into the hotel from the area just to eat there.

My wife and I greatly enjoyed our meals. However our guests struggled to find anything that they wanted to order on the lunch menu. The menu was very limited and not conducive to a wide variety of tastes. What was offered on the menu, however, was excellent. This is a very fixable problem.

Amazing brunch, but for this price point all drinks should be included. As far as the brunch menu, although the rice and beans were lovely and delicious, these being two of the 6 burners made me also think that the price point was not worth it. The old brunch at Ceilo was well worth it with all inclusive drinks and amazing sea food options. Restaurant ambiance, views of the Arch, and wait staff were all top notch!

We’ll try again when the hotel/casino adopts a full NO SMOKING policy. The smoky environment (with air freshener attempts to mitigate) is evident even on the eighth floor restaurant. No thanks!
