“Some foods taste so much more complex when cooked on a wood fire,” Craft says. “Grilling is a universal technique so the menu reflects many different cultures but the food will be heavily influenced by the grilling mecca of South America.”
Craft’s focus on simple foods with bold flavors is highlighted throughout the menu and includes several steak selections and rotating grilled items. From grilled pickles to grilled lamb ribs in soy, lime and garlic with a mango-honey glaze, dishes feature enticing techniques and flavors.
Dine indoors with warm wood and stone interiors or venture out onto the new outdoor lounge and upbeat bar area.
We went here on a whim with our children and had an amazing experience. The food is the tiniest bit salty, but otherwise excellent. Bring your bathing suits and be prepared for some amazing views of St. Louis
The food was good, the restaurant is nice.
The ambiance is great
Some really spectacular cuisine (and some questionable) accompanied by disorganized and intermittently inattentive service. In addition to being seated and then ignored for nearly 40mi, the food was brought in haphazard order (eg a salad before the appetizer; the appetizer brought at the same time as a dinner side).
Also--a stunningly wasteful meat-heavy dish came w the remark (twice) "nobody ever finishes this": so why give people so much solid meat that it is bound to be wasted??
Although the staff and view were fantastic the food quality vs price was a def 3 Star. The broadside wine which is normally a $18 bottle was priced at $60. Way over priced. Avoid.
Great views of the Miss River and Arch. Lovely setting. Grove/Aaron was really helpful and attentive. We lingered over a long meal and never felt rushed. Would recommend the rib eye, risotto, cheese bread, puréed potatoes, and ice cream churro sandwiches. Drinks were very well executed!!Really had a great time.
Outstanding dinner services ordered Dias Bread starter followed with Little Gem Salad. Server automatically split the salad onto 2 mini plates as I was celebrating my girlfriends birthday. Ordered Lamb Rack and Seafood Stew, both of which were phenomenal. Stew was creamy and rich, but not heavy. Plenty of seafood within. Lamb was cooked perfectly medium rare and came with mole, chimichurri, and hollandaise sauce. Night finished with a birthday surprise flan! Definitely would recommend.
The Mother’s Day brunch buffet was a relatively ordinary brunch and in my opinion, not worth $95. The food was wasn’t exceptional, though this may be common for buffet type events.
The desserts, however, were impeccable, and the view, service, decor, and ambiance was lovely! I do intend on coming back for dinner and giving it a try again.
We went for Mother's Day Brunch ; it was pack !! the food was ok ; not impress for the price per person. I was expecting different type of food . I went before for brunch and they had a better selection of food and desserts than the one in Mother's Day. Overall is a good restaurant.
That Mother's Day brunch would have been embarrassing for a Holiday Inn Express. If you wanted any sort of egg- be prepared to wait 20 minutes for the 2 guys making omelets. No scrambled eggs or god forbid poached eggs Benedict. Hard mini pancakes that looked and tasted like they were cooked the day before. Your choices were: a huge platter of grocery style style cubed cheese and a little shaved meat, a minuscule selection of traditional breakfast food (pancakes, the thinnest cut bacon I have ever seen, sausage, no eggs as I mentioned, and bland cubed potatoes). They had abundant shrimp, oysters and ceviche cups which were good, and a carving station where you could get average cuts of chicken or prime rib. After dropping over $200 for two I actually stopped and got drive thru on the way home because I realized I was still hungry. This is the first bad review I have ever written in my life, but I think management at the Four Seasons needs to know how disastrous that food was.
The hostess was absolutely wonderful and our server was polite and attentive.
Lovely restaurant at the top of the four seasons. Valet parking was the easiest option, but they validate it for you at the hostess station.
An excellent family spot for a Sunday brunch!
awesome breakfast....we thoroughly enjoyed the morning
Food was very interesting, and tasty. The view could not be better and the atmosphere was great. I would definitely come back/
Lisa was my server and I must say she was professional, polite and knew her stuff. More Lisa's in this world
Extraordinary food as always! Great view, great cocktails.. try the house beer and never skip the cheese bread!
We dine at Cinder House at least twice a month.
The food, ambiance and service is always part excellence!
I highly recommend this dining adventure.
Very creative and delicious dishes, a lovely setting with great views of St Louis
Delightful food and exceptional service! Amber was exceptional, real pro.
A few of my girlfriends and I dined at Cinder House for a casual get together and absolutely loved the entire experience. The hostess staff were friendly and accommodating as I waited for my friends to arrive, even though we had a reservation. We spent quite awhile catching up before ordering and never felt rushed by our server, who was attentive but gave us our space. Our food was excellent and the ambience couldn’t have been better. The rooftop view of downtown St Louis, the live music, the food and excellent service made for a truly wonderful experience. It’s a very chic place but also warm and welcoming. We all raved about how much we enjoyed it and will definitely be back.
Somehow Cinder House remains a secret for lunch downtown. It's the best food around and the new menu is amazing. As it warms up the outside seating will be unbeatable as the views are second to none. Free parking is another nice perk.
Really excellent food, very inventive menu. Can’t wait to return next time I am in the area
Wonderful Brunch !!
We had brunch after a nice stay-cation. Brunch was complete and wonderful. And the view across the deck to the Arch cannot be beat.
Food was delicious but service was not on par with what I expected. We spent a lot of time waiting for drinks/food. It seemed to be understaffed. The food was delicious but for the prices, I would not go back.
Exceptional service and knowledge from Sommelier Anthony Geary. Hostess still need to learn to ask to take peoples coats when they are we wearing them. Cuisine is always superior.
Our service was awful. We were not asked if we wanted a drink when we were on outside patio. At dinner our waitress was rude and did not even fill up our waters. I spent over $300 on food and drinks. My wife and I were there to celebrate her 30th birthday. Very bad service
What am amazing place! I loved the patio overlooking the arch and river. Perfect for a special night out or a celebration. The waitress was great, very attentive. They even gave us a dessert on the house since it wad or anniversary. We will most definitely be coming back.
Cinder House is a great resturant and we will definitely go back. Our server Amber was very attentive and timely. My Wife and I both enjoyed a signature cocktail with our Prawns starter. After that we enjoyed our entrees, Lamp Chops for the Wife and I had the Feijoada, both cooked to perfection. To finish the meal we were presented with a beautiful desert masterpiece (see picture). If you're in St. Louis that would not be choice if you decide to go.
Excellent food and atmosphere with great views of downtown saint Louis.
Easter brunch. Food was good but not great. Service was pretty slow considering it was a buffet and we helped ourselves. The price was beyond outrageous for the quality and quantity of food and the service was weak. There are far better options in St Louis for brunch than Cinder House.
Outstanding brunch buffet!
We were very happy with our Easter Brunch. The gorgeous weather helped, but the lovely food and presentation were top notch. Perfect music & creative donut table were especially appreciated.
Easter brunch was amazing! Staff was very friendly; kept the mimosas flowing. Could have been just a bit quicker at clearing plates. This was my second time here and will definitely become a regular stop.
Great experience for my girlfriend's birthday, service was great, and the waiter was extremely attentive. The whole staff including the manager went out of their way to make sure she felt great on her special day. I greatly appreciate the service and the food, will definitely return.
Amazing food and drinks. The trout was superb. Steaks were cooked to perfection. The polenta was smooth, rich and so tasty. Our server was froendly, helpful . She nade the evening perfect. My first time at Cinder House and it exceeded our expectations. Would highly recommend this to friends and family.
Cinder House was good, but perhaps my expectations were set a bit too high based on my experiences eating in other South American restaurants (in the US and Argentina). The food was good, though the menu was not particularly interesting or inspiring. Everyone at my table ordered the sirloin, which was tender, cooked to our request and a generous cut. However, we all thought the steaks were not hot enough when served. I sent mine back and the waiter (and manager) were very attentive about this; they didn't charge us for my meal. The side dishes were good-- especially the frites and polenta --and nice size portions, but again, some had cooled down by the time they got to our table. It's located in the Four Seasons, a beautiful hotel. It's not exactly a cozy or intimate space, perhaps because it's doing double duty as the hotel's primary restaurant serving guests and those who came into the hotel from the area just to eat there.
My wife and I greatly enjoyed our meals. However our guests struggled to find anything that they wanted to order on the lunch menu. The menu was very limited and not conducive to a wide variety of tastes. What was offered on the menu, however, was excellent. This is a very fixable problem.
The service we received was the best we have received in a long time. Our server couldn't be better.
Nice place great staff
Food so so (I certainly expected better)
Will I go back - nope
For the price the brunch was very sub standard. There was little selection and low quality. The service was absolutely appalling. Rude, inattentive and completely disrespectful.
I wish that the staff would be more knowledgeable and more professional looking.
