   We were blown away by the service and quality of food at Cilantro on the Lake. We stayed at Emerald Lake Lodge for our first time and enjoyed the cozy rustic feeling of the restaurant. The lamb shank and chicken (which apparently has been on the menu for years) were some of our favourites! We can’t wait to come back!

   The mountain and lake setting of the restaurant was gorgeous. The staff were courteous and attentive. Kudos to the kitchen staff who prepared a delicious meal and dessert. The roaring fire, great retro music, and rugged interior made for a relaxing and enjoyable dining experience.

   Emerald lake lodge is a beautiful place however the Cilantro restaurant was a major disappointment. For how empty the restaurant was, it took 30 minutes for the food to arrive. The Ribeye steak meal was laughable compared to how it was described on the menu. Matchstick potatoes AKA shoestring fries with no seasoning and roasted brussel sprouts that look barely cooked, left us no choice but to send it back. I would not pay $68 for that meal. However the manager was understanding and accommodating.
