Cien Agaves Tacos & Tequila – Old Town
Tue, Fri, Sat 11:00 am–12:00 pm
Great atmosphere. Good food.
Great food...poor table
Excellent tacos and desert sundae was wonderful.
This was my first time and I will definitely be back and would recommend. My friend and I sat down and our drink order was taken right away. It was happy hour so the server advised us on the house margarita as well as other specials. The house margarita was fantastic! We were chatting so we were a little slow to order food. In that time, the manager came over and informed us that the kitchen had made an extra carnitas cheese crisp and asked if we would like it. Absolutely! It was SOOOO good! I loved that the edges were a little extra done, exactly how I like it. The carnitas flavor was amazing and she told us that it was a previous chefs grandmothers recipe! We ordered the chips and guacamole which reminds me a little bit of Barrio Queens guac with pomegranate seeds on top. Such a delightful addition. You could tell when happy hour kicked into full force because the noise level did too. It wasn’t too bad though and it died back down. Food, drinks, service, atmosphere, and price were all amazing.
An overall fun dining experience as always.
We found this by chance and what a great spot for our group!! Loved it!
We love authentic Mexican food in an authentic atmosphere. This is by far the best spot in the valley.
Birthday but they took the reservation and called me 30 minutes before to say they only had a table outside. It ended well with a high top for 10 inside but they should make sure when a reservation is taken they set up the tables.
We met some out of town guests here and had a great time. I would come back again.
We went here because the one in North Scottsdale was awesome. This one has a tiny patio, no sun but nice and quiet so we could visit with friends. Music inside restaurant was really, really loud and need to yell at your table mates! Happy hour is a good value . We all ordered the house margaritas . The table outside had ridges that tipped my glass over and spilled my drink. Told the waiter and he said” oh thats too bad!”. Sooo his attitude was not what i expected! Disappointing. Food was good.
They have the best margarita! The skinny rita and the prickly pear are my favorite! Very good energy and the food and service is amazing! My favorite Mexican food in Scottsdale!
Best food and service! Love, love their Tanga Taco’s and Prickly Pear Margaritas! Best staff ever. Definitely going her again.
Great place for happy hour and they take reservations for some of the year which is a real plus!
Great time, friendly service, very good food with a variety of selections to the menu, the men’s room sink was overflowing all over the floor into the hallway glad I was not downstairs eating! Other then that fun place to have dinner
We loved this place. Very casual, Arizona vibe. Food and drinks are fantastic. Would definitely return!
The cheese enchiladas were amazing! Definitely will be back!
Great food and margaritas! Loved the quiet outdoor patio seating.
Went to Cien Agaves with a group and had a good time! Good food but service was kinda slow even though almost no one else was in the restaurant. Reasonable prices and lots of options!
Excellent, consistent Mexican food. Fun place! The Old Town location is better than the North Scottsdale location.
Great place for food, Mark's, beer, Mexican food. Only downfall is that it is very noisy
Prompt service table was on time and the food was great !
I definitely would go back !
The margarita's were almost pure sweet and sour mix and ice. Had three of them. Felt nothing. Went to the bar to sit down and order another one after we ate and told the bartender and she literally could care less instead of saying she would make us a good one since we are sitting at the bar. So much for customer service. Food is not that good to put up with that. Server was at least good.
We were invited by Rocky the owner to join in a celebration of their anniversary. Great buffet and sampling of tequila. Had a wonderful time at long share table with people we had seen at previous tequila samplings.
The food was delicious, server was very attentive. Nice location in old town Scottsdale.
Service has been slowing down lately. Margaritas also didn’t taste the same. Food good
Food and drinks were food. Our waiter was very nice.
The tables are so close together. You are packed in like sardines. So, I had datd night. Not a good date place and for sure no large parties. It was just uncomfortable. The food and service was good. But not a place I would go out of my way for
Super slow service; really bad. Must have been an off day, normally I have no complaints. We were a group of 6 with reservations; unfortunate experience.
Was very loud and hard to have a conversation without feeling like your shouting at times. Great food and drinks. Friendly staff. Small tables for app and 2 entries and drinks.
Was great overall but the loud noise level really prevented our group from socializing easier. Just wasn't the right fit for our needs. However, the service was great, food was good and economical (happy hour prices).
Outstanding food. Overall a very noisy bar scene even at 6 pm on a sunday evening. We had a reservation but when we came in they were telling everyone there was over an hour wait. Very loud, partially because it is in a two story building like a warehouse with nothing to absorb sound. Everything fresh, best nachos and mahi tacos ever. Many different and unusual kinds of tacos. I would have just preferred to be able to sit somewhere less noisy but that was not an option. I would NEVER try this on a game night or on the weekend.
Overall it was good. A little loud to have a conversation. The tacos were pretty good. It was good to try.
Hosts didn’t know what they were doing basically. It wasn’t just us several people around us were having to ask for the managers because of the poor service. I go there all the time I don’t know what the heck has happened.
Good food, good drinks, great service. My only complaint is the noise level. It’s always very noisy. Not a place to go to have deep conversation over dinner.
Enjoyed the Enchilada Special and the Fajitas. Delicious guacamole to start!
It was fabulous!
Great happy hour food specials and flavor is outstanding too. Bottled beer was not very cold. Happy hour value was good
Cien Agaves is a great happy hour restaurant for Mexican food. Happy hour goes until 7!
Value was excellent food was great . Service was awesome 👏
We were given a table right by the front door so every time the door open we got a blast of the 116 temperature. There were many available table so I dont know why. It was the worst table in the place.
Sat for over 20 minutes waiting to be recognized. Were ready to leave when the server approached us. My husband decided to stay. food was ok. Nothing to write home about. Would not go back again
Stopped in for Happy Hour about 4:45 and place was rather empty, but it did fill rapidly. Really good margaritas and 1/2 price appetizers until 7:00. We shall return!
