Very good food, good service and good portions

I always say a restaurant is successful by the cook because food is what brings people back but the combination of the service and the food was outstanding in your restaurant and will recommend to my friends.

I get annoyed when Mexican restaurants charge for chips and salsa… I guess I am just used to bottomless chips from most places. It’s only $3, but still… we had a $100+ bill, just annoying.
We ordered the chips and salsa as an appetizer and it took 20 minutes for it to arrive. We had to remind our server twice. In my opinion, part of a Mexican restaurant experience is drinking margaritas and eating chips and salsa for a while before ordering main course. Not possible with the timing / service at this restaurant.

Besides the chip issue, the margaritas and food was good. Nothing spectacular, but good. We did enjoy happy hour pricing on the margaritas, $6/ glass. Pretty good deal.

I wouldn’t go out of my way to return to this restaurant, but if we were going to a movie and wanted to grab a bite afterwards, would probably give it another shot because of convenient location to the theater.

Horrible experience.. drove all the way from Goodyear and totally regret it. We couldn’t even enjoy our food because our server had the worse attitude and customer service. With that service I’m not sure how the restaurant is at top 10?! It was soooo bad. Manager was super nice and sorry for our experience.

We have been to this restaurant numerous times, and no complaints. However, yesterday I had no idea what was wrong with the kitchen especially. My husband got someone elses meal and my shredded pork was burnt . Our waitress never came back to the table so I had to ask another waitress to procure my husbands correct meal. I could go on, but suffice to say, we are reconsidering should we go back. Perhaps their chef was not in, and someone else was trying to fill in. Just not sure, and perhaps our waitress was new. Just very very disappointing.

Great atmosphere ... even better food!

I was disturbed servers weren’t wearing masks and we were nickled and dimed for anything extra. Wanted sour cream and they charged us .50. Wanted more Carmel sauce on sundae and she said she would have to charge us. There was hardly any Carmel sauce on the sundae. The sundae was also mostly whipped cream. Not very much ice cream. It just been there’d me that everything we asked for we would be charged for.

Well as you can see our reservation was for 7:00 pm after we arrived the hostess said she contacted me twice and I didn’t respond and she cancelled our reservation. I showed her on my phone my confirmed reservation as the only one contact at 6:48pm saying we were still driving. She claims we were longer than 10 miners well yes from 6:48 but my reservation was for 7:00 not 6:48 so we would have to wait 25 minutes. What was the point in making a reservation then I had a movie booked next door at 7:40 that wouldn’t work. Disappointed and the hostess was beyond rude.

Everything was great! Tried a couple different types of margaritas, but the prickly pear one was definitely the stand out. Came for happy hour so only ordered drinks and appetizers, but the green Chile queso dip and the ceviche were amazing!

Have never been disappointed with Cien Agaves. Friendly staff, food amazing, always a great gem after a movie at Harkins.

Our server was so kind and attentive as well as helpful. The food was AMAZING and I would definitely recommend it to everyone I know!

Fabulous chicken fajitas. Unique and super flavorful. You will never eat anyone else’s fajitas again. Food is really good. Service leaves a little to be desired but is not bad. I eat here regularly and will continue to do so.

Staff was very friendly and great accommodating our family.

Service was slow and the place wasn’t busy. I could tell the margaritas sat to long because the salt rim glasses were 1/2 dissolved. Also, it looked like the food died on the pass under lamps for to long. It wasn’t terrible. It was fair. I didn’t have high expectations so I’ll go again.

Food was just okay, sports bar type vibe! We couldn’t taste the tequila in our margaritas!

Great margaritas, tacos and service!

Tacos were good, but the veggie taco was fantastic.
Sides, esp. the guac and street corn, were amazing.
Staff was very knowledgeable about the tequila selection and helped us pick a flight.

Celebrating a birthday

The food was excellent. The shrimp tacos were exceptional. The service was really off. It was over 10 minutes before a server came to our table. It wasn't busy at the restaurant, but I can understand if their was miscommunication. We ordered food and I ordered a beer. The beer came after the meal came. Mind you, this was my original drink order. When the food came, we were asked if we wanted more chips. I said yes. The chips never came. We liked the place and the food was good, just bad service this night. We will give it another chance though.

Food was fresh and very good. My pollo tacos were a little dry. Fajitas were excellent. House margarita on the rocks
was tasty. We had an excellent server. Enjoyed dining here!

I don't recommend the fried mahi or hawaiian shrimp tacos. Maybe it was an off night but I should have known better than to order something called a Hawaiian taco. I
think the Old Town Scottsdale location is better than the North Scottsdale location.

First two times I went food was amazing, this time it was kind of cold. Most of the group got tacos and one got fajitas. Fajitas came out sizzling but tacos were just warm, snd the rice and beans that came with it were dry and just warm as well. I’d expect the food to come out hot like the fajitas. Kind of disappointing.

Service was pretty slow, food was ok. We waited a long time for everything we ordered. Including the “bottomless” chips that ended up not being bottomless..no one refiled them lol

The menu on open table was not menu at the restaurant.
