Absolutely awful. Terrible service. Bad food. It was as though none of the staff knew what they should be doing, and no one knew how to cook. After waiting 20 minutes to be acknowledged at our table we should have left, but we made the mistake of staying. Was there a chef in the kitchen? Was it the first day for all of the waitstaff? I cant believe this restaurant can operate like this on a regular basis and expect to stay in business.

Staff was attentive. Food was good although requested an everything bagel, toasted, and got a warm plain bagel with my Lox main course. Don’t spend 5 minutes describing the bagel choices if you’re going to bring something else to the table. Same with one of the other in our group. Just a couple of tweaks and a solid 4 stars, however, the view will only get people coming back for so long.
I didn’t realize this was part of a resort. It was really nice but I pictured the outside dining area to be a little bigger than it was. Food was good and service was very accommodating.

Exceptional service from the moment we exited our vehicle. Food was very good--one guest had the salmon sandwich and she raved about it, another had the turkey sandwich and it was enjoyed, they both had the sweet potato fries and both loved them. We will return and with more lady friends.

We visited on a Thursday afternoon and then returned on Sunday afternoon; sat at the bar. The bartenders, Kyle and Travis, were absurdly knowledgeable about agave spirits in particular, and made us some awesome drinks with ingredients we have never heard of. All fabulous. And the queso blanco and ceviche were just great food. Best Mexican we have had in the Valley and we eat out frequently.

Cielo excelled again! They deftly handled a wedding outside and still provided stellar service and food in the dining room. It was a joy to see a wedding taking place while we enjoyed the view and dinner. Jean provided us with his usual excellent service. We were staying at the Adero for a few days and had dinner at Cielo one night and breakfast there everyday of our trip. The staff is amazing - kudos to Jean and James! James already knew what I wanted for breakfast in the AM and Jean was great during dinner.

well, to say the least our experience was pretty disappointing, the place alone has the best view ever, but that is about it. The food was disappointing a piece of lettuce sprinkled with little bacon bits, and have no idea what dressing, it was very boring.
Our server, Ellesse , sp?, was a twit, first of all, I can handle "Mamam"(sp) but the tone of voice was condescending. the uniform was a not very well put together, white blouse tucked into jeans. I realize that maybe she cannot control her weight but give her something that she could pull off! We think Ellesse was not happy and did not try to engage with us.
At a bigger table, there was a male waiter that was laughing and having fun with his guests. We did have a delicious dessert, but I asked for a Mexican coffee, which she said, we do not have that. I told her how to make it, she never did bring me a little straw? Needless to say, this was reflected on her tip, from all of us, which was pretty poor. thank you for reading this. Linda Moyer

We love the relaxed feel of this place – like a comfortable dining room in a friends home. I definitely would return to try more dishes. The French onion soup was amazing and the Salomon dish were delicious. Everyone loved the flat iron steak. Service was well-timed and friendly, wines were a perfect touch to our evening

Cielo at Adero is in a beautiful location. We have been going to this resort for many years and have experienced it's many remodels, name & management changes. I think I liked the look of the place more, prior to this latest acquisition by Marriott. Possibly, the new look is just retrofitted for Covid conditions but I find it less cozy & comfortable and more sterile looking. The menu is VERY limited and everything is priced VERY high for what you get. We have been there twice now, mostly because we enjoy the view and getting out of the house, but I think they need to extend and/or change their menu so people don't get bored with the same limited items. Also, I feel the prices are out of line and will discourage visitors.

Our reservation was for 8:45, We didn't get seated until 30 minutes later. That was the first part. Second, For it not being that busy or having that many seats, the service was very bad considering what your spending and the service they are aiming for. I understand it was Valentines day but the place was not packed and no tables were full. Didn't seem like anyone knew what we got or what our order was and for the most part and everyone was scrambling or rushing, everything took a little longer to get (appetizers/salad included). The food was okay, it was bland for the most part and nothing that would make you go back for seconds. The setting of the restaurant was 10/10 and it was romantic setting. Very nicely designed and set up.

Location was okay. It was high up there and felt a sense of romantic feeling. Service was okay too. The major thing that failed was the food. We were there for valentines and had a four-course meal. Crab cake was a bit too dry. Salads were good, we liked it. The main course which was lobster stuffed beef tenderloin, boy that was a total fail! It was overcooked and so the meat was dry and hard :( fyi, we weren’t done with our salads yet, and somebody came up to us with our main courses on hand. It came to our table a little too early and overcooked! :( we didn’t even finish the tenderloin. Our waiter didn’t even ask us how was our food when she came to our table to clear our plates. No initiative or anything. The only thing we really enjoyed was the dessert.
Also, there was a live singer that night but you can’t really hear the music. They should’ve been prepared for that. Overall experience was not good.

We went for our valentines day anniversary. First time dining at this place. Very disappointed. They obviously were not prepared for their valentines day special. Even at our 7 o’clock reservation time they were out of ingredients for their salads. We had two of the three entrée selections and both were mediocre to poor. Two hours after we began eating we got our desserts which had obviously been purchased outside of the venue andNeither one was beyond mediocre. The view is nice and the bread and butter was tasty but doubt we will be returning.

Where do I start? A disappointing food experience. This restaurant was much better when it was Flourish. We gladly dined here often. Arrived early for reservation and unfortunately our table was not ready. Once a table was prepared, we found that the placemats were not clean. This was Valentine's day afternoon for us, but no mention that there was a prix fixe menu. We decided on a few limited choices, but the food was not fresh, and seemed reheated. Server was polite and attentive, but the experience left us with no desire to return. Please keep the table and placemats clean for guests (during and outside of a global pandemic), and invest in better food quality. Expense/ value to quality is lacking. Good luck as you improve the overall dining experience at Cielo. Thank you.

Restaurant was overbooked even though we had a reservation. I was served the incorrect entree.

Reservations for 11 turned into being seated at 12. There was absolutely no order in how guests were sat, rather it was who complained the loudest. Two parties that came after us who both had reservations for 11:30 were seated before us after they made a scene. Once we were seated at 12, we did not see another staff member until 12:10. No water/silverware/menus until then. The food came out closer to 1 and was mediocre at best. For the price you pay when dining here, the quality is far below it. Would not recommend.

We had reservations for 7:30pm at Cielo on Valentine's Day 2021 for outside seating. When we arrived at 7:10pm, the place was crowded. The hostess told us there were quite a few people ahead of us and it would be a while before we were seated. We were okay with that since we were 20 minutes early. We found a seat at the bar and had a drink. At 7:40pm, I went to the hostess stand and waited in line to ask about our reservation. The hostess declined to give me a specific time when we would be seated. I pushed her for more info and she said she probably couldn't seat us until approx. 9:00pm. What?! We had two options - wait or leave. We decided to stay at the bar. Not ideal, but we knew every other restaurant would be packed, except maybe for Pizza Hut. We were given the Valentine's Day four course, prix fixe menu to order from.
Summary: Extra long wait for the appetizer set the tone (I had to ask Lonnie, the bartender/waiter to check on it - he was great, BTW). Woefully small crab cake and only two meatballs. I wanted more. (Postino gives you 8 meatballs!) The artichoke/tomato salads were next - other diners had warned us away from the Caesar salad - more of a crouton salad.
The main course was lobster and steak. One small chunk of lobster surrounded by medium rare steak and mashed potatoes. Good potatoes but I wished Lonnie had asked us how we wanted our steaks cooked. Isn't that standard practice when ordering meat? It was way too pink for me. The profiterole dessert was mostly pastry - not a lot of ice cream filling. The kitchen staff must have been snacking on it.
Bottom line: Do not go to Cielo on Valentine's Day. Ever. Their lovely promotion only looked good on paper. $79 was way, way too much to spend for a seat at the bar and mediocre food. At the very least, the atmosphere was charming and the other diners were fun. Now I know why they split one prix fixe. It would be great to be comped one of those meals.
Had a reservation at 7 and at 8pm still hadn’t been seated and there were 4 tables ahead of us to be seated still... needless to say I did not stay and put a big downer to Valentine’s Day...I will NEVER try this place ever again!!!
Obviously, with Valentines Day weekend things will get busier than usual. However, with a 715pm reservation, we finally got sat at 915pm which is hard to understand. Other than the issues with being seated, I must say the experience overall was well above average. Marcus from the bar area made our night much better with speedy bar service and great conversation! The food was very well prepared (the fish was amazing) and the ambiance and music topped it off. Hopefully if we return in the future, we will get seated just a little quicker.
Ambience and views are outstanding -excellent wine list!
The food was pretty subpar. For Valentines Day it was disappointment. Food temperature wasn't really warm. Tenderloin was dry. Dessert was frozen. Service wasn't very attentive. Wouldn't go back.
excessive wait time for entre, other diners who arrived after us were eating desert before our main course arrived. The Caesar salad was a joke , I would rate the tenderloin as average, definitely not 5 stars.
