   We had a really good evening with friends we had invited to dinner. The ambience was very good . The bar area where we had pre dinner drinks is excellent. We had a good table although the view out the front window was just a wall perhaps the windows could be dressed as they are at the dudes. The food was really good, I even ordered something off the menu it was no trouble for them and ehdn it came it was outstanding! The only blot on the evening was getting our order taken I had to go and ask if we could place our order having been sat down for quite a while.

   A lovely evening, but the staff were not particularly tentative. We had to ask for assistance on many occasions and when my wife wanted a dessert, they were not available. I ordered the bill and left.

   We enjoyed our meal on the whole…the food came promptly and the service was good. The only irritation was the waiter was pacing up and down where we were and only 3 tables were full out of approx 8 so he was literally waiting for plates to be taken. He tried to take my husband’s plate when he wasn’t finished, he was that eager! I guess it’s striking the balance because slow service and inattentiveness ruins a meal!

    The service was poor - waitress made no effort to engage or to be welcoming and we had to ask various times for drinks, water, etc. It took 30 minutes to get our first drinks. We had booked online saying it was our anniversary - and they never asked or mentioned it at all! We found the service provided to be cold and distant - no attempt to make diners feel special or welcome. The food was very good, but noise levels were very loud, and what could have been a lovely anniversary was tainted by poor and impersonal service.
