My fiancé and I are both Italian. We came the week after this restaurant opened and have come back every weekend since. The atmosphere, food and service are amazing. This is our new spot!!
Please add Veal Parmigiana (with a side of spaghetti) to the menu!!!
Great food, service not so great. Staff seemed very rushed, took a while to take our orders. Never mentioned the specials, would have ordered one. Overall a good, new restaurant still finding it's stride.
The valet and our waiter had a verbal altercation with one another.
First time since becoming Cibo, and will be back. Best eggplant parm I’ve had lately! Accommodating splitting salad for my husband and me. Just wish it came with entrees. Still a small space and they were busy. Glad they use Open Table!
Tables in the back picked up kitchen noise and some faced the restrooms with nothing to block the restroom doors opening, sometime seeing patrons in the doorways. Not the best look.
We loved it! Next time Daniel should present himself as the waiter. At Di Lisios there are bigger portions and the salad is included in the entre price.
Excellent dinner, already wanting to repeat it. Service by Eric was great, friendly and on point, the food, ohhh.. the Capellini Prosciutto, creamy, tasty, delicious, the Eggplant Parmesan, one of the best I've had. The dessert was a chocolate cloud. The bread was focaccia, not my fav, but the pesto butter made it tasty. So glad they have taken over that location.
Cibo is a good mainstream downtown Italian restaurant with friendly, attentive service.
Located in the old Sweet Potatoes location , it is run by former Paul’s staff.
Food reflects the Paul’s style of Italian.
( Don’t miss the spiedino or veal !)
We absolutely loved it! Everything was perfect! Food, drinks, staff, seating outside!! We will continue to make this our Italian Restaurant get away.
We are 100% Italian. This place is the real deal. We went last weekend and are already trying to make a reservation to go back this weekend. If you’re hesitating- don’t!
Trade Street in Winston-Salem is a fun place to go, with lots of places to eat, many of them specializing in fun food. Now they have an Italian restaurant, full service, that is faithful to the recipies of a great chef that the Lee family rescued from Paul's Fine Italian Dining that was a mainstay in Italian cusine for decades in W-S until it had to close because of the Covid-19. CiBo Trattoria is an example of the fine dining that the Lee family has given W-S in their other restaurants. Judging from the patrons that dined there on a Saturday, and the waiting line, I would suggest that there are many people who would agree with me.
This was our first visit and we were not disappointed. We were sad that Paul's went out of business and elated to learn it was re-opening under new management. They have done an excellent job. There were old favorites on the menu plus new items. The Wagu meatballs are my new favorite. Cibo's is a must try if you like Italian food!
Fabulous food in an upbeat atmosphere. Quaint spot for a nice Italian dinner.
Wonderful salad and pasta
Fun dinner in a restaurant with energy. Cocktails were tasty, food was delicious. Will be exciting to see them evolve. Look forward to seeing them develop their specials. Familiar tastes, if you loved Paul's Fine Italian Restaurant like I do, but offerings with a different spin also. Good job with social distancing, mask use, and careful service. Looking for to our next meal there!
Amazing food! Very authentic Italian! Can’t wait to go back!!
Like the menu very much! Enjoyed some favorite dishes!
Friendly atmosphere! Wish them all good things! We will be back!
We had a lovely dining experience start to finish! Service was terrific! Waitress friendly and knowledgeable. She was passionate about their food and they delivered. My husband had veal that was perfectly prepared and my Capellini Prosciutto was super flavorful! Our entire table was happy with their meal!! We will go back soon!
Friendly and competent staff combined with excellent food in a great downtown Winston Salem location. I will be a regular patron.
Best Italian food in WS! Amazing wine list! I had the gnocchi with duck, so good!
I am from New York and am Italian and my other half was a professional chef for 20+ years, so of course I was excited about a new Italian Restaurant opening. Neither of our meals were very good. Definitely not authentic.
The best Italian food in Winston! I had the capellini prosciutto and my friend had the veal osso buco, both were amazing!!! Great list of Italian wines, too.
