I love this place. My partner and I have been here twice now, both times the food has been excellent, the people have been nice, the wine has been good and the overall experience has been positive. We're excited to go back a lot more to try more menu items. Michael at the Pizza Counter was especially nice to talk to.
Always amazing food and service at CIBO. Love their pizza and also the pasta dishes.
A must when you're on Division St
First visit, food good, enjoyable experience; would try again and would recommend to friends
Best value restaurant in the city. Great food reasonably priced.
The food is absolutely stellar. The service is great. The waiters were courteous, prompt, and frequent in terms of checking in on us. Overall, the wait staff seemed on top of their game.
The ambiance was also very good. The lighting is soft, and the glow from the bar and pizza oven are pleasant.
The noise level was never a bother. We were never distracted by a rowdy kitchen, but the gentle hum from other guests was pleasant.
We had pizza, pasta bolognese, baked cauliflower dough with pesto on it, and braised boar, and everything was absolutely top-notch.
This is the 4th time we've been here and we love the place. The food is excellent, the service is excellent, and we always leave feeling great. Don't change a thing.
Great food and service for a birthday celebration. We’ll be back!
LOVE this restaurant more than anything. The pizza, pasta, and appetizers are incredible. I used to live in Italy and the food at Cibo is so spot on! The only part that lacks is their wait-staff. The gentleman that waited on us had difficulty making eye contact, and only worries about what the women wanted at the table, and didn't wait for the men to order. It was odd. After the food was dropped, no one came by to see if we needed anything. One of our friends wanted to order a glass of wine with her pizza, but since no one came by she wen't without. It was a bummer not to have the additional service that most customers expect to receive when going to a a nice establishment. It seemed like the only person working tables with personality and gusto was the owner or manager. The staff who greeted us were super friendly, but the wait staff could use a bit of polish.
A great neighborhood Italian spot! We dont live anywhere close but make the trek across town every so often to enjoy pizza and great wine in this welcoming and relaxing environment.
It was busy for a Tuesday. Wait person was impatient and fairly inattentive. Good food. They can’t accommodate a large party comfortably. We had 8 and we had to cram into a large booth with one person in a chair at the end of the table. They should have called us to let us know when they saw the reservation.
Love the big booths, food delicious, good cocktails and wine, plus friendly service!
better italian elsewhere in portland. Poor service as well

Cibo is always great! Great food, great wine, and fun atmosphere!
Very nice, straightforward but high quality neighborhood Italian with good service. The menu is a little creative while staying true to a simple vision. Little details like very good house bread and oil elevate the meal.
Food is amazing and very attentive service.
Love the food! Love the service, atmosphere and the staff were great!
We had a great outdoor happy hour for our party of six. The food was outstanding as usual and our server Kaitlyn was friendly, quick and attentive.
Love this place. Had the mussels and bolognese. Both were amazing.
Everthing was fine except for the NOISE LEVEL (loud music) requiring us (table of 5) to almost yell if we wished to be heard.
We came back to Cibo because of fond memories of our last visit to Portland in 2017. We really enjoyed the”Roman Meatball” entree and were very disappointed that it was no longer on the menu.🙁
We had to order other menu items instead, and they were delicious.
Always a nice experience at Cibos. Service was outstanding! We always order and enjoy the Classic Cecina and octopus salad!
First time eating here June 2019. Had pizza, caprese, sautéed spinach and chicken fritter things. All of it was great and I can't wait to return. We sat at the bar and would probably try to get a table next time due to the space constraints and lack of backs on the stools. Service was good and the staff was friendly.
We stood in the doorway for a solid 5 minutes as employees passed us by over and over again until someone said - hello. We had a reservation, which was a good idea. Food was superb!
Delicious food & fun atmosphere. Staff overall has little personality with perfunctory service... but I guess that’s just Portland service at this point!!!
Fantastic!! Cibo is my go-to spot for outings with friends!
We ate from the sea like it was a theme and the octopus salad was awesome before we finished with plates of Vongole, clams that ringed the dish with spaghetti pasta. Now stuffed, we couldn't do dessert and passed on my favorite chocolate sorbetto.
This time around I skipped the entrees and went for a Caesar with anchovies and a fig jam pizza that was covered with arugula and prosciutto. The salad was enough for two and we finished the pie before gelato. It was a good meal and we are coming back for more. Only the next time, it will be for Vongole and an octopus salad.
Next time only pizza, salads and small plates for me. Last time the entrees were served about five minutes apart, awkward dinner. However, our server Andi was an angel and the food rustic good.
Food, service, and ambiance were outstanding...food and drinks can be a bit pricey but lots of small plates are reasonable. Love this place and highly recommend it!
We always come here for visit to Portland
Excellent food ! Great atmosphere
The food, the atmosphere, the booths, the wait staff, EVERYTHING about it!!!!
Thank you Cibo!
We were not thrilled about the food this time. Pretty bland. Maybe we hit it on an off night.
Great food and service too.
Great food! Friendly staff!
I lived in Italy for two years many decades ago and miss that amazing food. Cibo is the closest thing I have found to the authentic food of Italy. The quality is fantastic, the services is wonderful and the ambiance is delightful. Great value too!
The mussels and bouillabaisse were excellent. The calamari & seasoning was very good really liked the seasoning. We also ordered two pizzas and split 3 desserts. Everything we had we really enjoyed. The price was below average for the quality. Make sure you use open table to reserve for your dinner. We zoomed right by the line. Our server was attentive and quickly accommodated us from a party of five to six. The atmosphere is Portland, hipster casual with booths and tables. We celebrated two Birthdays and could not of had a better meal.
I love this place! Great happy hour deals. The happy hour Montepulciano is delicious
Best pizza I’ve ever had. So delicious. Highly recommended.
