Quality of food is below par especially for the steep prices. I had a rib eye steak, which I ordered M/R but it came Rare. I then struggled as it was very chewy and stringy. I mentioned this but all I got was “sometimes it happens” and no offering a discount.

We use Cibo Hale a great deal. On this occasion, it was a mixture of excellent food and poor food. The service on this occasion was 1 star. Almost like it was the end of a long day. Has to ask for an ordered glass on wine in 3 occasions. Cibo on a day like this was almost San Carlo esque. Could it care less approach came through. We will continue to use the restaurant. How can you get a Spaghetti Bolognaise so wrong. This tasted like. A microwave frozen meat, watered down dish water. Shameful.

The atmosphere and the interior is beautiful but unfortunately that is about it We sat down and the service started out good with asking if we wanted a drink first We then ordered olives with bread which again came really fast and was very tasty My friend ordered frutti de mare linguine and I ordered a green pea risotto with scallops Hers was okay but not as flavourful as expected. Mine did not taste anything at all, even after using salt and pepper and extra Parmesan it just did not have a good taste. The scallops were deep fried which definitely took over the taste of the actual scallop. After they took our plates away, that’s when our service kind of stopped. We weren’t asked if we wanted dessert or any more to drink We left very soon after that I have been to a few Italian in and around Manchester and this one was one of the worst food wise. I would not recommend

The food was beautiful and the cocktails too. A little on the pricey side but we went for a special occasion. There was a really loud table of men who made it difficult to speak and be heard but I'm not sure what could have been done about that? Shocked to find a 12.5% service charge on the final bill instead letting us tip ourselves but maybe this is Hale for you? Overall I'd say it was good.
