Ok, where do I start. First off they were closed with a sign stating that due to extensive water damage they will not open till July. We were on vacation and had to find at the last minute find another restaurant. Lack of communication from the restaurant and Open Table.

The food was very plain, like a cheaper version of Olive Garden food, it was WAY overpriced and the service was slow even though they weren’t busy. Totally sucked and would never go again and definitely wouldn’t recommend it to anyone!!!

Had a terrible experience yesterday at CiBO. My family has eaten here many times (winter and summer) and were excited to go eat there on a Saturday night. It started bad from the time we came in. We had a reservation and somebody took our name then we waited over 10 minutes for somebody else to come and ask if we've been helped. Our answer: we think but we haven't seen anyone. After that we were seated right away to a mostly full restaurant. We ordered 10 minutes later. Then we wait. We wait another 15 minutes just for water. After being seated for 25 minutes another person comes and asks if she can confirm our food and drinks as she can't find it in the computer. Then we wait another 10 minutes for 1-coke and 1-glass of wine. Now we've been waiting 45 minutes for food. We have 2 children with us. My husband asks for bread as were all getting hungry. Sure they tell us. Well we wait another 1 5 minutes for that. We finally get food after a 1:15 wait. Unfortunately when we get our pastas and meatballs everything is WAY undercooked. The kids can only eat the meatballs (which were fantastic). When the waitress comes and asks how the food is I let her know that we can't eat the food since it tastes like raw dough. We then just ask for the bill as we just wanted to get out. The waitress ended up giving us -50% off the bill. We let her know we never had an experience like this at the restaurant and that we were disappointed. She let us know they were having problems with the staff and that people were out sick. Not sure if that meant the cook also?! Anyhow not sure we'll be back for a while. I think we'll just wait till they can figure out every aspect of the restaurant. On a side not everyone in the restaurant that evening had the same experience then us. Long waits for food and wine. The family sitting next to us had to wait as long for their food. Only to have their food so spicy they couldn't eat it.

Have been here before and enjoyed our dining experience! Not this time. We were a party of nine and none of us received our food at the same time. The artisan bread platter wasn’t as good as before, my son received the wrong pasta and we never received more wine. The kids didn’t get their pizza until we were almost finished. We felt sorry for the servers because they were trying their best but not enough help and the kitchen wasn’t up to the task.

All the specials sounded so good, it was hard to decide. The food was excellent and the service was great. Cori was our waitress and she was so, so good.

Four of us had arrived for dinner on a Friday night at 6:30 pm. We were seated immediately by a friendly waitress. Between us we ate the fettuccine with claims, gnocchi, margarita pizza and chicken in mushroom sauce. We also all had salads. The dishes were plentiful and tasty. On a negative note the table felt sticky and the dishes for our appetizer of warm olives appeared filmy. That being said, they just got their power back on after PG&E’s massive power outage which may have affected their hot water washing. We would definitely go back though!

My husband and I are from the Bay Area but have a place in Twain Harte and decided to head up for our anniversary. Neither of us had been to CiBO yet and wanted to try it out so we made a reservation. Upon arrival, the staff was super friendly and asked us where we wanted to sit - inside or outside - and when we chose inside, they gave us a few choices and ultimately we ended up getting a seat by the window. The decor is super cozy but also industrial/modern, a nice change to the usual restaurants up there. The first server got to our table instantly with water and offered suggestions for his favorite items on the menu - the Finocchiona pizza (which we ordered) and the Wood Fire Baked Ziti. The second server who ended up being with us the rest of the evening introduced herself and then told us the specials and her suggested dishes. We ended up ordering the soup special (this time was a potato soup), Chicken Marsala, the Finocchiona pizza and a side salad. We had brought a bottle of wine and the server opened it for us to have as we waited for our food. Our soup and salad came out shortly afterward and then a bit later our main courses. The pizza was SUCH a good choice - fabulous flavor my husband almost did not want to share! The Chicken Marsala was a generous portion of chicken (half a breast and a leg) and was cooked wonderfully - still moist and with great flavor and the sauce was not overpowering or consuming the dish). We decided on affogato for dessert and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Ultimately, I could describe the food as best as possible and perhaps not sway anyone one way or another to try out the restaurant; the food IS wonderful, and it shows in the preparation - this is a family oriented Italian style restaurant, so the purpose is to ENJOY the whole process of the meal, including conversation in between courses (with the staff, too!) and not be rushed. This is definitely a place to return to time and time again. Cannot wait to make my next trek up!
