We arrived at the restaurant and it was closed for business. No notification from Open Table or the restaurant.
Reservation confirmed the day before via open table. We showed up at 7:26pm for a 7:30pm reservation and the restaurant was completely closed and locked up. No sign on the door or phone call indicating why. Tried calling the number and the voicemail box was full and not taking any new messages. Needless to say, finding an alternative on Saturday night at 7:30 was not easy.
We made reservations for our anniversary and confirmed via open table. When we arrived the restaurant was LOCKED, DARK, and EMPTY. Not sure what happened because we were never notified. Tried to call the restaurant and received a “full mailbox” message. Finding another place to eat for our anniversary on a Saturday night at 6pm on Mother’s Day weekend was not ideal.
Good food and service. Ambience is a bit dark but the outdoor patio in the back will be lovely this summer
Amazing service and food
No COVID precautions. Table spacing was tight, only half the staff wore masks. Service was not bad but the doors was average especially for the price. More than anything the place had a tired vibe for a brand new spot on the square, especially decor and layout. It was not terrible but would not recommend.
First time there was was very impressed. The food and service were very very good. Actually the rabbit dish was excellent! This is a go back to restaurant.
It was a very good meal...black spaghetti a bit too spicy, but everything else was very good. Rolls, especially. What was really nice though, was the service. She let us enjoy our wine for a bit before asking about apps, then after the apps were done, she asked us about our entre. Didn't feel rushed at all which let us enjoy our meal. Will be back.
Great atmosphere but got somewhat loud as night went on. Food was delicious, well prepared. Server forgot to bring table bread until after entree was eaten.
Not sure what’s happened recently, but the food quality has slipped recently. The Black Spaghetti with crispy Rock Shrimp was sent out with “not crispy” regular shrimp. My wife’s Rigatoni was good, but was too lightly sauced. We are hoping this was just an “off night” and not a permanent change in the kitchen.
Excellent as usual. Thank you!
This is a true village jewel, also a veritable tiny piece of Italy in Cincinnati. Every part of the experience, from the service to the wine list to the Cibo, was spectacular. I am already looking forward to returning!
Very glad we finally went here . A great spot in Mt Lookout! Food is outstanding
Great evening with friends in this new gem of Mt. Lookout! Great food , menu and service !
This place crushes it on food combinations -- great assembly of short rib with risotto &
squash or try a pasta/ entree half portion combination. Sorry the rabbit was sold out. The server was quick to say the "for the table" was plenty for 4 of us & he was right. Very tight place but we did not feel uncomfortable. Owner / Boss -- noticed the cocktail I ordered was not what was brought to me. It was OK, something I would drink anyway but I would have expected the correct one to show up next ! She stopped by the tables of what appeared to be "regulars" but did not address us. I always find this odd -- do you not want others to make it one of their "regular" places to think of eating ?
Great spot. We will return soon. Good to see a new, original place!
Atmosphere was odd. Not too many tables were filled and weird decor.
Food great, portion size so small had to order twice. So be prepared.
Very dim lighting, couldn’t even read the menu. Food was good but not worth the price. We left hungry after spending $185.
Finally, an Italian restaurant who dare doing some classic and bold meal.
Great food, great service.
Great New-York lounge romantique/modern ambiance , perfect dating place.
I can't wait for the Jazz nights on Wed/Thursday
First time and we will be back. We had the meatball appetizer and for dinner we had the filet and the orecchiette with sausage. Both were great. Homemade Lemon Ricotta was delicious and a chocolate espresso drink to finish off the night.
The warm olives with garlic chips & orange peel are great. The Black Spaghetti with Rock Shrimp is outstanding and they have a very good and fairly priced Wine List.
The wine list is outstanding. The food selections were good but three of the four dinners
were way to salty which tended to ruin our first dining experience here.
Also the restaurant was packed to capacity. All tables and bar seats were filled. They were not following covid quidelines at all. The bartender's mask was below his nose as well.
I am willing to try it again before I would recommend to anyone else.
This was just awful! I had crunchy fish bones in my branzino, and we were overcharged for our wine by $22. It ended up being about $100 per person for us and another couple, which was extraordinary for the subpar delivery. This is in our neighborhood but we will never come back.
Food was delicious but portions left us very hungry especially the guys in our group. Menu was very very limited and although they had unique options (i.e.: made in-house pasta) I feel their pricing is just too high for what you end up receiving.
This food was AMAZING! We will definitely be back.
The food was unbelievably delicious. Perfectly cooked branzino. Wonderful pasta. Amazing arancini and meatballs. Thoughtful winelist.
Lots of locals, so we felt it would be a great place as soon as we walked in. Really enjoyed the charred octopus - nice texture and the sauce was deliciously intriguing. The black spaghetti was nicely seasoned with spicy tomatoes and notes of lemon. Dessert was donuts/mini-lava cakes (don’t recall the name), which were delicious. Everything tasted like someone in the kitchen takes pride in what’s served. Would definitely go back on our next trip to Cincinnati.
I was happy I didn’t let the previous reviews deter us. Did any of the cooking staff have on masks? No. Was the bartenders mask around his chin the whole time? Yes. But the food was delicious! The service was prompt and friendly. Support the neighborhood restaurant that is trying to establish itself during a pandemic!
The server was very sweet and I liked the atmosphere, but I was not blown away by the food. For the price you pay, you don’t get a lot. The appetizers and wine were delicious though.
This is a must visit in Mt Lookout! The Italian cuisine was authentic and melt in your mouth. A true gem that will rival any Italian restaurant! Grace’s service was attentive and amazing even with a full house!
Great food and service ....I usually don’t get chicken but it’s something special here
Our server was awesome attentive and really on top of everything. Good food I’d go back again
Food was delicious - just a bit on the salty side. Service was outstanding! Lighting and sound was perfect!
I took my wife there for Valentines day. Food was wonderful. Service just a tad slow but good. I like the way it was decorated. The only thing I would change is the music - to more background music and lower volume.
Enjoyed this restaurant over Valentine’s Day weekend. We had a 9:00PM reservation and even given any COVID restrictions, we were not rushed. The food was excellent - arrancini and mozzarella for starters. This was followed by prosciutto wrapped salmon and the rigatoni for main dishes. The rigatoni with pomodoro sauce was among the best pasta and sauce I’ve ever had. Dessert was delicious as well. All this and the service was top notch as well.
As huge fans of Repetoire restaurant in Florence, KY (another restaurant with same owner) we couldn’t wait to try this new restaurant. Invited some friends to join us
Unfortunately, the service was very slow and the food was so salty we could barely eat. But what I was surprised at the most was the obvious disregard for Covid. No spacing between tables, none of the prep staff or chefs had masks on. The bartender barely had his on the entire time. I wanted to love this place, and hopefully with time changes can be made.
