Delicious, authentic cuisine, friendly staff and a really good wine list. Dining available inside or out. A nicely busy atmosphere. Enjoyed our dinner here a lot.
Wonderful place, food, service and prices. Highly recommend and the check comes rather creatively!
We eaten here several times. Its always great. I highly recommend the seafood lasagna.
Great Italian food, good service and price. Would definitely recommend and will be back next time in Fernandina Beach.
15 years of wedded bliss!!!!!
Went on a Friday night, they were supper busy. Would go back on a non weekend day. Food came out in a fair time. It was very good. Noise level a little higher than I was looking for at the time. Love the location.
Nice overall. Spaghetti and Fettuccine Alfredo were good albeit a little salty.
Best restaurant on Amelia, every time we visit the island we make sure we have at least one meal here. Lucca is a great host and always makes us feel welcome.
Wonderful, authentic Italian.....will certainly go back....I wish they wouldn't serve bread one slice at a time with a thimble sized portion of olive oil. Otherwise a fabulous experience.
Kim and Luca do an outstanding job. They make you feel special and the food is always great.
Try the lasagna, it's the best I've ever had. Thier canoli and tiramusu tops off any meal.
Ciao is one of our downtown favorites! The service is outstanding and the owners are always onsite to greet patrons. The pizzas look delicious but my wife and I can't pass up the delicious pasta dishes to try one. And sidewalk dining and people-watching are my favorites. I would recommend Ciao for special occasions or just for anytime you want good Italian food!
We came to the restaurant and we were next in line. The hostess kept disappearing. When she came back behind us we're regulars and she sitted them before she sitted us. No apologizes or anything.
Food was good but when asked if the margarita pizza had sauce and if it was similar to a regular pizza. It is not as there are just patches of cheese.
Our experience is was just ok. We got seated very quickly to start, which was nice. The food varied. The seafood lasagna was amazing. My wife got veal and pasta and it was the smallest portion of veal I have ever seen. She was still hungry after she was done and my wife is very petite. My one daughter got the pizza and the crust was as thin as a pita. I know it says very thin crust on the menu but it was not good at all. Tasted like something I threw in the toaster oven. Service was just ok. Had to constantly wait for things and not very proactive at all. The atmosphere was very nice. Prices were very high for what we received. Was not impressed with this place and certainly not worth the money.
Very friendly & excellent food & service
Service was very average. Wine selection was good. Food was very average.
Great place always come here when at Amelia Island.
Not impressive. Sauce reminded us of chef boyardee spaghettios. Husband had pizza. It was average. Chicken parm average. Service was fine. Wouldn't go there again. We are in town celebrating an anniversary and wanted Italian. Wish we had chosen another restaurant. First disappointing meal of the trip. It was recommended by Ritz Carlton but not worthy.
Noted we were celebrating my birthday on our reservation. They sang for table behind us. Did nothing for me. Epic disappointment.
Dining for four. One of us got violently ill after eating the Pork dish. Three days later still feeling effects. Not a good vacation.
This was my 3rd time there, but I am not sure I will return. Our poor server seemed overwhelmed from the start and it took him forever to acknowledge us. He said he would get us water and then take our drink orders. The busboy brought us lukewarm water. The poor waiter was appalled and brought us out water with ice and lemon. It then took forever to get our drinks. The Caesar salad was supposed to have anchovies. I found one little piece! I had chicken added to my pasta. Again I had to search for the chicken which appeared to be processed. There were about 4 or 5 small cubes of chicken. I had expected slices of chicken breast. It was pretty pathetic. My first 2 visits here had been positive. Not sure I will be running back.
My husband and I were on vacation and decided to eat Italian. Our meals were excellent. The service was great and the prices were reasonable. I would definitely come back again.
Owners are always present and attentive. Great pasta dishes and the best Bruschetta you will ever have.
Went to Ciao for dinner and was disappointed even though we have been there before. The shrimp scampi sauce was very "gravy like" and accompanied by about a 1/8 cup of pasta. The shrimp was tasty but the heavy sauce was overpowering. Also the meal did not come with a complimentary salad....that was extra, making the cost over $30. which I thought was a little high compared with other Italian restaurants in the area. Probably won't return.
Poor service. Would not bother to go back. Owner very nice. Pizza disappointing. Wine list short. Must be better places.
One of our Fernandina favorites.
Very consistent visit to visit.
Fantastic. Exactly what we were looking for; casual, patio dining, authentic Italian, good selection, good taste, reasonable in price, great location.
Food was average at best. One meal was cold and the salmon was fishy which leads me to believe it wasn't fresh. The bread was stale & dry. For the price, I think a small salad should be included. Disappointed because we were looking for something special to celebrate a birthday.
I was very disappointed with Ciao. The place was extremely over crowded, waaay too many tables. I incessantly had waiters tripping over me the entire time. Then we finished our entire dinner and sat waiting for thirty minutes before our waiter ever came back to the table. We wanted to order dessert but by that time we were so fed up with the entire thing we just left. Definitely NOT worth the $100 I spent on my husband's birthday dinner. Extremely disappointing overall!
Dinner at Ciao is always a treat! My favorite place in Fernandina Beach, FL. Try a tomato basil pizza as an appetizer. True paper thin crust makes this a pallet pleaser without filling you up. The Fantastica salad is another favorite and really is fantastic. Can't go wrong with any of the pasta entrees. I tried the salmon for the first time this visit. It was excellent.
My husband and I enjoyed the evening, the food was great as well as the service. I would recommend to others and will definitely return.
Food was excellent and a very pleasant staff. Owner on premise and greeted everone as a friend
Service was slow and didn't check back often enough. Food was good, but waiter should recommend a bottle of wine if you're going to have 4 glasses because it's a better value.
Very disappointed. Service was horrible. Food, just ok. The fettuccine and chicken fettuccine were very greasy. Alot of money for a terrible experience.
Sat outside at Ciao on a gorgeous evening with good friends, great atmosphere and delicious food.
Luca and Kim have built a neighborhood gem, serving some of the finest Italian dishes I've ever had.
Too expensive for the quality of the food. It appeared the same sauce is used on all dishes which reminded me of the sauce in canned Spaghetti O's. I realize this is a harsh review but was disappointed with the meal. There are several very good restaurants off the beaten path here in Fernandina...too bad this one is located in prime tourist territory.
Kim and Luca are not only outstanding but they are consistent with meal quality. My wife and I both had lasagna, the best within 100 miles, I could eat this every day.
We always go to Ciao at least twice every winter when we visit Amelia Island. They have excellent Italian dinners, that seem very authentic. This time I enjoyed their pasta Bolonese, my husband loved the lasagna, our friends were happy with their dinners also...pork cutlets & canneloni. The service was efficient & cordial. We all liked our Caesar salads, but would have liked them more with freshly ground pepper! If the weather is nice, be sure to sit on the porch.
We have visited Caio occasionally since we moved here 2+ years ago. The food has consistently improved, from mediocre to very good and Caio is on our list of dining options much more often.
Ciao is an excellent Italian option in this island, great ambiance, service and food.
