Quaint, cozy restaurant with authentic Italian food. Great service, food and atmosphere!
Very good food and service .would recommend for date night, special occasion ,business meeting ,friends get together or just if you want great food
Read previous reviews so came here and was very disappointed. Food quality was marginal. Had mushroom soup and it was the highlight of the meal. My entree was a penne with homemade sausage and broccoli rabe. The broccoli was not edible, the sauce was bland and the sausage was boring. My husband got their signature chicken dish. Again it was tasteless and pale. It wasn’t even appetizing to look at. Pricing was high for the portion and quality. Perhaps others wrote reviews after drinking a few glasses of wine. I would not recommend and will not return.
This is a classic authentic Italian restaurant. Excellent service and great food.
This place is always great if you want a taste of real Italian this is the place
Found this restaurant purely by accident 5 years ago. Friends were down and staying in the time shares nearby. They wanted Italian so we thought we would try it. GREAT CHOICE. We all loved it. We go back as often as we can. Great food. Great service. Great desserts. AND great prices. Oh, did I mention great bread? Very attentive wait staff that seems to rotate to ensure that you have everything you need. The area it is in does not seem like it could contain this gem, but don't let the outward appearance fool you. Go inside for a wonderful meal at a fine establishment.
The food was excellent and the staff was so friendly. Even as we left, the waiter walked out the door to say goodbye. Highly recommend
Our meals were outstanding aswas the service & ambiance. My wife had fresh grouper & pasta which was declared the best meal on our trip todate. We would definitely return when in the area.
The restaurant is decorated simple but nice and tasteful. My meal and hot bread was delicious!! However our server was a little terse and slow, paying too much attention to setting up for the next day. He spilled my Prosecco when pouring it!
Service was excellent - very attentive and quick. Maybe a little too quick, could space out the appetizer and main meal, felt a little rushed.
Food is homemade Italian, which is good. My dish was the Pesto tortellini with chicken. Chicken was very tough and there was way too much pesto sauce, but the tortellini tasted very good.
Really great spot. Don't be fooled by the strip mall location - the interior is authentic and beautiful, this is a GREAT restaurant. The service was impeccable and the food was the real deal. Cannot recommend highly enough.
Vacation meal / date with hubby. Restaurant is in a small stripe plaza. Decor was tasteful, not over done. Server had been waiting tables for over 38 years. He made a nice recommendation on a wine and shared the specials. We started with a mussel appetizer done in a read sauce that was very tasty. Next we split the lobster ravioli and waiter suggested adding shrimp. Was perfect amount to split! We then had a ricotta cheesecake what was unique . The cheesecake texture was super light and almost fluffy in texture, not heavy at all. We also had after dinner expression and latte.
Would recommend to anyone asking for a well designed menu with many choices other than pasta and wonderful food and service!
The fresh pasta was good and Alfredo sauce was OK, but nothing special. The red sauce for the child’s pasta was too spicy for children. The fish special was $37 for grouper - very overpriced. The iced tea was presented in a single-serve plastic bottle brought to the table, opened and poured. I explained my son has a peanut allergy and he said quickly and dismissively that it was no problem. I tried to ask about the bread and where it was made/processed, as cross contamination with nuts often occurs in bakery products. He dismissed it saying “there are no peanuts in it.” I did not have confidence that he understood or appreciated allergy issues. He never asked or brought out the chef. We did not eat the bread. The waiter was very short and impatient but it was not busy. There are far better options for Italian food in Orlando. I see why it was so easy to get a reservation while most other places were all booked.
Good food and great service
Discovered this place last year while on vacation in Orlando and it was outstanding so we dined here again this year and it just as good as we remembered. We intend on going back a couple of more times while we're here this year. The Linguine Frutti di Mare is excellent. We're from Elmwood Park, IL where Italian Restaurants rule Chicago and Ciao Italia beats them all.
Very nice inside and we'll kept secret! This place is exceptional.
As we went to dinner... our waiter questioned our Black friend that was with us if he could afford a 60 dollar veal special! It just wasn’t right- things that was said and he did in directly that our waited did. He was judging and profiling our Black friend! It wasn’t professional on his part at all!
Found this restaurant on the Ooen Table app because I needed a reservation in busy Orlando for 5 adults without a wait. They seated us right away which was great although the table was too large making it hard for conversation. The wait staff was attentive but not friendly.
The menu is diverse with traditional southern Italian fare. We chose a seafood special pasta, ravioli, rigatoni and eggplant dishes.
The seafood pasta was by far the best dish, loaded with different fish and seafood. The rigatoni dishes and ravioli were skimpy in my opinion. Plus most entrees do not come with any sides. They did put a wonderful crusty ciabatta on the table with a dipping oil.
The eggplant was disappointing. It was stacked high but was extremely salty and so heavy on the breading I could not taste the thinly sliced eggplant. The side of spaghetti was good and the marinara flavorful.
The salad was just ok but pricey at $7 for what you got.
For these reasons I gave the restaurant an overall three stars.
Their signature stuffed veal chop was just outstanding, and the other dishes were excellent as well. It's a small, quaint place located in a strip mall. Don't let that stop you though...we were there for a business meal, and the food was delicious and experience was very enjoyable. The only drawback for us was that they only serve wine and beer. So if you're looking to enjoy a cocktail or two before dinner, you'd better try somewhere else.
The standard menu items were well priced, but the special items were extremely over priced for what we got. Check price of special items at time of ordering.
The menu has a good variety of classic Italian fare. Signature 20 ounce pork chop was excellent.
The stuffed veal chop is my favorite restaurant meal in the country. Excellent service and incredible menu options.
Staff was authentic and helpful. The food was delicious and the menu was appropriate. It was a bit noisy but that could be because people there were enjoying themselves.
Everything for husband and myself was excellent. Both friends ordered the signature lasagna. They both said very over salted but everything else was terrific and service could not be better.
Food very good, small portions, service lacking, very noisy
Great food! Quick service!
Could not chew the veal parm. Charged extra for a serving of sauce which was very sparingly served with the meal. Total unhappiness
Great service and good food. Watch out for the specials as they are very expensive
Excellent, as always. We visit every year during our vacation.
Best Italian restaurant in Orlando. We go any time we have business in Orlando. Excellent food
This restaurant was amazing. I have Celiac and went on the recommendation that they had great gluten free options. I ordered the special...shrimp, scallops, and salmon over pasta with a vodka cream sauce (subbing out the past for gluten free pasta). It was the best gluten free pasta I have ever had! I can't wait to go back again next year when I am back in town.
The appetizers was great and the special veal chop awesome. All pasta was delicious. AAA for the service, specialty by Tony.
Great food, great service. I went there twice in the same week on business. Everyone I have brought there loved it.
Unassuming location within a strip mall, but a pleasant surprise when walking in. Traditional italian cuisine, well done and priced. Service was excellent.
Love this place. My fiancé and I love to spend special dates here. Food is amazing! Service is on point! Every single time
BEWARE OF THE UP-SELL!!!!
We planned a business meal at this restaurant based on their menu and their reviews. We were greeted very nicely by a very attentive wait staff. They proceeded to heavily sell their "specials" for the day which included their "signature dish" the veal chop. The description made this dish difficult to turn down and both my colleague and I ordered it after considering what was described by the waiter as the "alternative" dish - the stuffed pork chop. The pork chop menu price was a reasonable $25. No mention was made of the price of the veal chop in the up-sell routine.
We very much enjoyed our substantial veal chop dinners however we were absolutely flabbergasted by the price (not mentioned in the up-sell scam) of $60/ meal. This was about 2-3x the price of ANYTHING on the printed menu. I have to admit, that I didn't ask the price for their signature dish, but the wait staff offered not even a hint that the price of the extravagance would be doubling the price of our meal. It's a shame, the restaurant is not bad overall but the practice of up-selling unsuspecting diners to meals that double the top price on the menu is unacceptable in my book. Thus I give this establishment 1 star for value.
Fantastic place. We went for Valentine's and it wasn't as packed as we expected. Very attentive service and the food was delicious. Great romantic place. Will definitely return.
The food was so good. Real home family flavor. And the service and people were great.
Best meal we've had so far on our vacation.
Papa is a great guy!
We were in Orlando for a conference and it was a school holiday week. Every restaurant was busy and noisy. Ciao was no different, but the ambiance, service and food made up for it. We'd dine at Ciao again but would pick a quieter time of the year.
We are disappointed. We were looking forward to a great dinner on our last night in Orlando and were sorely disappointed. The tomato sauce tasted like it came from a can it was just red sauce with no herbs or flavor. The water smelled bad so we ordered bottled mineral water. Only good thing was the service.
