Arrived in Orlando and was starving, luckily enough we stumbled upon Ciao Italia. Staff was welcoming and the food was delicious! No complaints except it was a little pricey but you could taste the quality and the pride they take in the food they serve. My stomach and taste buds are definitely not complaining!
Excellent food, attractively presented. Warm friendly staff.
A lithe bit pricy but not bad
Restaurant was very nice but the service wasn't good you didn't get enough food for your money wouldn't recommend this restaurant
Great Italian food locally sourced. Great service.
Unfortunately the restaurant is in a crummy strip mall with a bad parking lot.
great service and very good food!! everyone left satisfied
Our waiter was very nice, the place was clean, prices were good. However, the food was only ok. It wasn't bad, but it was nothing to write home about. It was decent Italian food and close to Sea World.
Here in Orlando for a conference and we wanted traditionally prepared Italian food without the hotel restaurant atmosphere that is pervasive here.
This place was spot on. Our waiter was a wonderful older Italian man with a great disposition and a good sense of humor. The way he described the dishes and specials made you want to order everything.
Then the food comes out. My friend had a lamb chop that was cooked to absolute perfection and served with really savory accompaniments. I ordered a pasta dish with rabbe and sausage that had a sauce that reminded me of food we had while in Italy. Everything tasted fresh, was well seasoned and the portions were perfect.
Then desert. The lemonchiello marscapone cake and ricotta cheesecake was so good I'll deal with the calories later. This restaurant made the trip here worth it. Bravo to the chef.
Excellent restaurant with great food and service. Excellent atmosphere and quiet.
Awesome as always, food spectacular. Fabiano our waiter could not be better. A favorite in Orlando. Leave Carrabba's and olive garden, come to ciao Italia
I really enjoy this place. Every time I am in Orlando I stop here. The service over the last 10 years that I have been coming here is always wonderful, the food is fantastic, and they continue to produce excellent meals at very good prices in a wonderful setting. If you’re looking for excellent Italian at a good price in Orlando definitely try this place.
Very good food. Seated quickly and initially excellent service. Toward the end of the meal our server got busy and disappeared. After waiting 15-20 minutes for him to bring the check we ended up asking another person to help us. Disappointing end to an otherwise very good meal.
Food quality poor for value. I’ve had better meals at chain Italian restaurants. Specials were grossly over priced. Overall, disappointed.
Staff and food was impeccable! We had a great time!
Not easy to hold conversations if you have a group because of the the noise level. Tables are close and voices carry. We booked a reunion dinner and conversation more and more difficult as the dining room filled up. Food & service were excellent! Attention to detail by wait staff was outstanding!
First, the restaurant is located in a run down looking strip mall. The bread was very good (highlight of the meal) and the food came out in a decent time. The Ciao Italiano chicken was so dry it was almost impossible to swallow and the chicken Marsala was average but also dry. The fettuccine Alfredo was good and creamy. Biggest complaint is that the prices on Open Table are not the prices at the restaurant. The restaurant prices for entrees were about 50% more than what was listed online. For those prices, I would have picked another place.
Great attention and wonderful food !!
Excellent food and service - best Italian in Orlando area
We come here every time we are in town. It is usually three to four times per year. We always make an effort to dine with Ciao! The guys who are their servers have been there for years and provide traditional and friendly italian service. Great dishes and authentic cuisine. You must try it! Don't forget dessert!
Being a native New Yorker who grew up surrounded by Italian culture, I can appreciate real Italian food.
I went on a Wednesday with a colleague and thankfully it was not crowded or loud. I have heard that it can get that way and the reasons are easy to understand why: excellent food and exceptional service. This is an authentic Italian restaurant where everything is homemade and you are taken care of by professional waiters. From the moment I walked in I knew it was going to be a pleasant experience. I so wanted to try one of their specials (double cut veal chop, pounded thin, stuffed and then baked), but I have a limit on my expense account. Thankfully our waiter informed me of the price before I blindly ordered, but he did provide a nice substitute and I was very satisfied with the result (clean plate). I am definitely returning on my next trip to the area and highly recommend this place.
Always good this is our 24th year of going there
the food was incredible, my wife had the stuffed veal chop and I tried the Veal Parmigiana, both were truly outstanding, the service was top notch, would recommend to anyone...anytime
We have visited Ciao Italia several times over the years, always enjoying our evening. This year it just did not feel as special as in the past and while my husband enjoyed his Fettuccine Alfredo, my Eggplant Parm was disappointing to the point where I asked our waiter if they had a new chef. He seemed affronted that I would question quality while I just wanted the kitchen to be sure they were serving the same quality of product as in the past, I'm not sure he forwarded my comment.
Food was spectacular. Try the eggplant Parmigiana. Very much like my mom made when I was a kid. My love had Chicken Parm and it too was awesome. Service was great and the owner greeted us both when we arrived and when we exited. I highly recommend this restaurant when in Orlando.
In town for Spring Break and Ciao was recommend. The food was good. Only beer and wine which was unexpected, but a good wine list made up for it. My only complaint was that we felt VERY rushed. Two different people waiting on us. Servers seemed frantic and right on the edge of rude. We asked for some time to look at the menu. He left and came back in under a minute. Went from appetizer right to dinner. Salads were not brought out and we got, “guess you don’t want it now”. I think we were in and out in under an hour. Not very relaxing.
Global Pet Expo
The food was okay but the attitude of the servers was not at all acceptable. It seemed as though we were bothering them by just being there. We will definitely not return to Ciao Italia. This was our second try and we received the same poor service attitude both times. Done with Ciao Italia. So many other restaurants in the area with such more pleasant and happy service.
We are in Orlando 3 or 4 times a year and always include a dinner at Caio. The food is always good and good value. Unfortunately this time we felt rushed. We were never offered a drink before our dinner nor did they tell us the specials for the evening. They did this to the table across from us. There almost seemed confusion as to who our server was. We were there for an earlier reservation because we know how busy it can get. It seemed to us that they wanted us served and out ASAP for later reservations. Very disappointing as Caio is one of our favorite dining places. If this was our first time there we’d probably never go back. Not a good impression on the clients we took there for s nice relaxing Sunday dinner.
Service excellent & personal. Food excellent. I highly recommend the restaurant
We had a wonderful meal with outstanding & entertaining service from Tony! Our party had bruschetta, lasagna, fettuccine with shrimp & scallops (the Grand Marnier cream sauce was quite yummy), & the salmon. Every dish was outstanding! We finished the meal with a lovely port, chocolate cake & cannoli. Everyone left the table with smiles! We’ll definitely be back.
Very busy night. We were treated very well as always with the staff working as a team. Something out of their hands though was a table full of kids that kept them busy. Parents at the table next to them were completely unaware idiots. I had papparadel with chingallie and porchini that was great. Also the calamari app is the best. Not deep fried but sautéed in wine and stock, delicious. We’ve been eating here since it first opened in the 90’s and has always been worth the drive from Oakland. Nice job
The food was great, portions just right. The service was a bit off, waiter took order was not seen again. Rough assistant helped when flagged down but lacking personable features.
The food and service were so exceptional that we went a second night during our trip to Orlando!
The food was delicious!! They offer creative dishes and authentic Italian food. The service was also excellent. Food came out very quickly. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend Ciao Italia to anyone looking for a great Italian meal without breaking the bank.
It is always a nice dining experience here.
We had a very good dining experience. The food was very good. We were just disappointed in the eggplant parmesan appetizer. For the price, we felt it should have been at least twice the size. It also came out cold. We sent it back and came back warm but not hot, but it was still very good. The only other complaint was that the pasta portion with the chicken parmesan was too small. Pasta is very inexpensive and we felt it was just way too small of a portion. The chicken parmesan was very good though.
You are not going to find a better place to eat in Orlando!
We found this restaurant last winter while visiting from Wisconsin. We had dinner twice last winter in one week! We were back again in Orlando visiting for the week of February 24th and once again visited the restaurant twice! Love the food and the friendly wait staff. The ambiance is also great. We were so surprised to find this quality restaurant in a strip mall. In Wisconsin you don’t often see these types of restaurants in malls. Recommended this restaurant to other guests in the pool who were also escaping the terrible winter weather! See you again next year!!
The food was good, service was great, and the wait staff very knowledgeable, friendly, and engaging. The only thing I wished was there would have been a spoon provided to twirl your pasta with a fork making it easier to eat. Yet, overall it was a pleasurable dining experience and we will eat there again.
