Churrascos - Westchase Ratings and Reviews
Service was Exceptional from the moment we walked in. The host was very friendly our waiter was very attentive very suggestive when I asked about an item constantly came to check on the table. Overall good atmosphere and food, prices very reasonable! It's all about the service!👏
I love Churrascos, but was very disappointed in the service. We were celebrating birthdays and they were not even acknowledgead. We order 2 waters and 4 ice teas and our waiter could not keep order straight.
I have never had this kind of service before. The restaurant was not crowed, I can only assume our waiter did not feel well. Big a disappointment!!!!
Went for Sunday brunch. Occaison was Grandma's birthday. Besides adults there were 3 under 4 year olds. Our server was attentive with the kids and showed no annoyance with the mess they managed to create. Kids loved the roasted pig - always a hit. Brunch food was great as usual.
We prefer the Gessner/Westheimer loaction to the Memorial location (Gessner @ I-10).
An experience filled with 'moments' fueled with great food and imagination. As a patron of Churrascos from its beginning days at a single location, the family's journey to legend is well earned. Some things in life are lasting joys. Among them are close friends, great loves, and extraordinary foods of great cultures. Churrascos team(s) keep apace with changes while remaining true to their heritage. Well done!
First weekend eating out after Hurricane Harvey to support last weekend of Houston Restaurant Week, raising money to fight hunger especially in this special time of great needs.
The menu was diverse and portion was generous. The service was excellent . My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Thank you , Churrasco.1
Had not been there in a couple of years because I moved but food was not up to the level I had always experienced previously. It may have been because there was a large party or maybe a slow late August evening. I was disappointed in any event. The coconut ice cream was outstanding, however, and Daniel, our server, always makes you feel special. Not sure if I will go back.
Everything was good. If I could offer a suggestion, it would be to get rid of the Bearnaise sauce completely, and perhaps substitute it with another sauce (more of the chimichurri sauce would be okay). Also, the cracked fingerling potatoes were nothing special, and somewhat dry.
Defiantly needs improvement.
Few years ago service was superb.
My family and I went for lunch we all order salads and our entrees, salads arrived pretty much without dressing, my wife had to ask for dressing not a problem so far we can deal with that. There was no pepper on the table we had to requested it.
Literally 5 minutes later our entrees arrived I barely had touch my salad I don't think they know how to work with times between courses. My wife and son order steaks unfortunately we couldn't eat because there was no steak knives on the table, again we had to request the steak knives.
Steaks had good flavor.
Churrascos is always a treat -- great food and service. This location is our favorite because it's conducive to carrying on conversations without feeling like you have to shout. Coming during Houston's annual Restaurant Weeks is a bonus because the set menu is awesome and ends with their best dessert, Tres Leches, which you can't refuse because it's part of the promotion! Win-win!
I enjoy the ambience and the food for the sunday brunch. I do feel like the sangria/mimosa should be bottomless for 35 to 40 a person for a brunch. Or at least include an orange juice or coffee for the price. One person can only eat so much so an included beverage would make it feel a little more worth it. We went on father's day and those special occasion brunches should have coffee. These things should be basic brunch offerings. A coffee station would be a good touch!
We went for Father's day brunch. Food was good, service okay. It's a buffet so service wasn't impressive. Had to ask for refills for coffee several times and then since the coffee pot was within reach from our table, we refilled on our own. Everything was fine. No real complaints.
We went there for a Sunday brunch. An extra person beyond the number we reserved showed up, an the staff shaped it will. Service was excellent. Food choices in the buffet were beyond our expectations, including healthy and not so healthy options.
Pricey, but good value for the price, nonetheless.
But a strong word of caution. The per person charge is $40, well above the $30pp for brunch advertised online, because Father's Day is a holiday and the menu warns you that prices are "subject to change on holidays". So while the good comments are well deserved, and while the $40 was still worth it, I would have selected a cheaper place had I known what the cost was actually going to be.
We had abandoned eating at Churrascos years ago....it was loud and the food was not as good as it had been....BUT...we were very pleasantly surprised with our entire experience and vowed to put it back on the list and frequent the restaurant....one member of our group has Celiacs disease and was able to order and eat delicious food....even the wine was reasonable and in fact we ended up ordering 2 bottles...and last but not least...our server was adorable and made our dinner much more fun....wish I knew his name...I'd love to personally give him his kudos!!!
We really enjoyed the eventhing!
I went to Churrascos for the first time on Mother's Day. The ambiance was just ok, the service was ok nothing too special but not bad by any means, but it was a buffet so you have to keep that in mind. I have had many a Sunday brunch that had mediocre food but this place was FANTASTIC and maybe one of the best brunch places I have been too. I didn't try everything that was offered but of all the food I tried it was all very tasty and the plantain breaded chicken is TDF!!! Please don't change anything about the menu or the way the food is prepared. All to often I have found a good restaurant and then over time they try to cut costs and the quality of the food is the first to go. LOVE LOVE LOVE and highly recommend. Thanks for a memorable Mother's Day!!
Excellent dining experience, but I would suggest that if you prefer to salt your food at table, be sure to take your own salt/pepper dispensers with you. We had to ask several times for "salt" and after it arrived and we used it, a wait person returned to our table to retrieve the shakers. I don't know the reason for this, but it was highly inconvenient. Will I dine here again? Of course, but I'll be sure to take my own condiments (and hope they will not be confiscated).
